WHAT LIZA KNOWS: This might be a little confusing, at first. Liza doesn’t know a lot about herself, so I’m splitting it so anyone can understand the differences between the full story and partial story. First Name: Liza Middle Name(s): Unknown Last Name: Unknown Birthday: April 22, 2001 Gender: Female Year: 5th House: Gryffindor Birthplace: London, England Residence: London, England or around the East End Parents: Unknown Siblings: none Relatives (If Any): none Pets: none Blood: Unknown Age: 15 Hair Color: red Hair Style: slightly wavy, falls to her middle back—during break it’s horrible, but at school she keeps it tame Eye Color: blue, with a rim of black at the edge Skin Tone: tan Nationality: British Height: 5’3” Weight: 124 lbs Accent: British History: Basically what’s below, although she only remembers the part from running away onwards. Personality: Liza is strong and dominant. She is always ready to stick up for someone or to speak out against something if she thinks it’s wrong in any way. Liza hardly ever thinks before she speaks to her friends, and that gets her into trouble. However, she can also turn a pretty phrase to get in (or out) of anything. She can charm anyone she chooses, if she wants to, but hardly ever does because it’s so time-consuming. Liza is a very loyal friend. She likes to see friends happy and healthy, and will help in anyway to do so. While she may seem over-protective of them, Liza is really just concerned about her friends. And when she gets scared, she does not show it with a fraidy-cat face. Liza gets angry when she’s afraid, like a mask. The good thing is, Liza hardly ever holds grudges. Hates: Living on the street, rainy days, no food, cold, fatigue Loves: Wizard, her big tent, her guitar, her mother Wants: to meet her father, to learn more about her mother, to get off the street Wishes: that Wizard and her could get off the street and turn respectable, that she could meet her dad Fears: dying and being forgotten, starving, frostbite Favourite Color: Purple Favourite School Subject: Charms Favourite Animal: Raven Favourite Food: Mushroom Stroganoff Least Favourite Color: Brown Least Favourite School Subject: History of Magic Least Favourite Animal: Rat Least Favourite Food: No food Wand Core: Dragon Heartstring Wand Wood: English Oak Wand Length: 15 ½ inches Wand Movement: Swishy Wand Strengths and Weaknesses: Dragon Heartstring: As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental. English Oak: A wand for good times and bad, this is a friend as loyal as the wizard who deserves it. Wands of English oak demand partners of strength, courage and fidelity. Less well-known is the propensity for owners of English oak wands to have powerful intuition, and, often, an affinity with the magic of the natural world, with the creatures and plants that are necessary to wizardkind for both magic and pleasure. The oak tree is called King of the Forest from the winter solstice up until the summer solstice, and its wood should only be collected during that time (holly becomes King as the days begin to shorten again, and so holly should only be gathered as the year wanes. This divide is believed to be the origin of the old superstition, “when his wand’s oak and hers is holly, then to marry would be folly,” a superstition that I have found baseless). It is said that Merlin’s wand was of English oak (though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven). Special Talents (If Any): She is an exceptional guitar player. Also, she has a knack for talking her way out of dangerous situations. Special Possessions (If Any): Her acoustic guitar that she’s had since before she can remember. A diamond necklace with EKW engraved on the side, that she thinks is from her mother. WHAT I KNOW: This bit is here to give back story and to prove that my character actually is fully developed. So here you go! First Name: Elizabeth Middle Name(s): Jane Last Name: Wallace Birthday: April 22, 2001 Gender: Female Year: 5th House: Gryffindor Birthplace: London, England Residence: London, England or around the East End Parents: Mom: Elizabeth Wallace Dad: Lawrence Norrington Siblings: none Relatives (If Any): An uncle from her father. Pets: none Blood: Half-blood Age: 15 Hair Color: red Hair Style: slightly wavy, falls to her middle back—during break it’s horrible, but at school she keeps it tame Eye Color: blue, with a rim of black at the edge Skin Tone: tan Nationality: British Height: 5’3” Weight: 124 lbs Accent: British History: Elizabeth had always been a beautiful young girl, perhaps that is why she caught the eye of Lawrence Norrington, even though she was a Muggle. Lawrence soon set about dating Elizabeth, lavishing her with it-looks-expensive-but-it’s-really-not gifts. They were happy together, at least for a few months. Lawrence soon broke it off with her, not wanting anything long-term. Elizabeth was shocked to learn she was pregnant, and notified Lawrence, although, it’s unknown as to if he ever received the letter, as he certainly didn’t reply. Elizabeth was alone when she delivered eight months later, and in determination to forget her lover, named her daughter Elizabeth, after herself, and Jane, after her mother. Her tactic did not work very well since she still sent Lawrence a notification of Liza’s birth. To give her daughter some originality, she called her Liza instead of her own nickname, Eli. Elizabeth worked hard to support her daughter, but they always had slim pickings as far as food went. When Liza discovered Elizabeth’s guitar at the age of two by accident, Elizabeth spent her time teaching her daughter that. When Liza was six, Elizabeth died of starvation and fatigue. Liza was promptly turned over to foster-parents living out in the country, something she was not used to. Liza never felt comfortable there, and so she applied herself to her mother’s guitar. When she packed up her things and took some money from her foster-parents about a year later, she told them she was joining the circus and went off. They let her go, not taking her seriously. But Liza hitch-hiked back to London, and set herself about living on the streets. There she met an abundance of eclectic people. Liza was taken under the wing of the old granny, named Mother Cantwell. Mother Cantwell taught Liza her sums and letters, among pick pocketing, theft, and how to play a crowd. To support herself, Liza played her guitar, often called a musical prodigy. She played Below the Bells, a district in London, which was overrun gang bangers of the Chokies. Liza met and befriended Wizard, a Chokie of about her age. She shared everything with him, from money (when she had it) to dark secrets. They made fast friends, and it became a familiar sight in the neighborhood to see the two wondering about when they did not have work to do. And thusly, Liza grew up. She excelled at guitar, and used her money to buy herself and Wizard a tent to sleep in. Her hair grew long and wild, her skin acquired a permanent layer of dirt. She was nine years old when Mother Cantwell passed away, and Liza still mourns the old woman. Her magic was discovered by accident, when she was looking for a safe place to eat in an unfamiliar section of London. It was there that Liza saw The Leaky Cauldron, and went it. Tom immediately saw to it that she was well cared for, after informing the Ministry of her existence. She is officially registered as “Liza Bells,” but Liza still prefers to go by her street name (Liza No-Name). After her first year, she and Wizard found an old wizarding couple who lets them use their roof and their magical tent. They are affectionately called Grannylady and Sir, and make sure that the two comrades are well-looked after. Currently, Wizard is the leader of the Chokies, and still lives on the roof, although he moves indoors in the winter. Liza still lives with him during the summer and works hard to put money into her and Wizard’s hands. She was leaning inconspicuously against the wall adjacent to the doors outside and across from the doors to the Great Hall. Liza looked across the hall, envious of the other students. They all had that same look: ignorance. They didn’t know that thousands of people’s lives depends on the tiniest dip in the stock market. They didn’t know that sometimes theft is the only way to survive. They didn’t know that they were lucky to have food, shelter, and clothes. Maybe ignorance really is bliss, Liza mused, watching a group of first-years walk by. She yawned fully, not even bothering to cover it up with her hand. Liza was exhausted. Only yesterday school had started, and she had almost been late for the train. Liza had had to run and jump onto it as it pulled off from the station. And then the feast—Liza had nearly killed herself. She knew on past experience that it didn’t do well to eat practically nothing and then practically everything. So she had stinted herself during the meal and glared at her food. Liza sighed and stood up straight, heading back upstairs. There was no use for her going to classes today; she would not be able to concentrate. Instead, Liza was going to feign sickness and sleep away the day in her new-old bed. Or maybe she should relax in the empty baths, soaking away a London summer's worth of grime and grit. Or maybe she could do both. Ahh, Hogwarts, she thought with a small smile as she scaled the stairs. Password: Cannon is as cannon does! Edited by Liza Bells, Oct 6 2011, 10:54 PM.

[size0]Okay, all I must ask is that she have a proper last name. She can still go by Liza No-Name but maybe Liza Bells would work better for teachers if that's what she's registered as at the ministry. :] Apart from that, Accepted and Welcome to 19 Years Later. |

Well yes, in classes she is registered as Liza Bell, but if she were introducing herself she would call herself Liza No-Name. And she'd wince everytime someone would call her Miss Bells. And thank you. |

[size0]Would it be okay to change her name to Liza Bells though for sake of reason until she finds out who her father is? |
