On November 13, 2002, Max Barry publicly released “NationStates”, a nation simulation game. NationStates has fostered numerous communities, many of which have come to this historic event to celebrate NationStates’ Tenth Anniversary. The 2012 NationStates World Fair runs from Nov. 10 2012 to Nov. 13 2012.

The Co-Founders of the Fair, Unibot and Todd McCloud would also like to acknowledge Solm, who did most of the work to create the forum; The Admin Staff, Sedgistan and Euroslavia as well as our Event Organizers, Zwangzug, Kogvuron and Earth. Additionally, JAL helped saved us in the last minute with his excellent coding skills, kudos to him. These folks are indisputably awesome.

The Royal British Isles Navy, the jewel of the British Isles. The Royal Navy, known as RBIN (pronounced Ribbon), is led by yours truly, Thomas Insaniac. RBIN has had a short history, but the history of the organization does have a few special moments that may separate itself from other organizations out there. Starting out as a pure defender organization under the the Prime Ministership of British Orange. It then had a period of inactivity before once again coming back into activity as a Centrist Military Organization.

Under the Prime Ministership of British Orange, RBIN formed as a Defender Military Organization. The Defense Secretary was me, it was my first term actually. I had Sir L- (some of you may know him as Mahaj) as my Deputy Defense Secretary. During this term, the Royal Navy had multiple missions done such as multiple raids on Warzone Asia, a favorite of mine because of the easily noticeable update time and low number of endorsements on the delegate. During this period, the Royal Navy also supported the United Defenders League (UDL) on one or two missions if I remember correctly. This eventually went on for a while until interest kind of died out and as of such the organization didn’t do much. I eventually resigned because I felt I had failed the organization.

The Next Term was once again under the Prime Ministership of British Orange, the Defense Secretary was now William Nassau. The Deputy Defense Secretary was John Smith. I must say that I honestly can’t recall anything of importance that happened during the term of William Nassau. I can recall some supporting roles in one or two Founderless Regions Alliance (FRA) missions. However I honestly can’t call those RBIN missions. Because it was pretty much William Nassau who was a member of the FRA himself and I personally doing these missions. The Military itself was fairly stagnant during the term of William Nassau. That was pretty much the entire of September in itself.

Now we move to September 26th, an election happened within the Isles. Prime Minister British Oranges party lost the majority and the party of St. John of Wesstmoorland took over the government. The Secretary of Defense Position was once again in my hands. I didn’t have a Deputy Secretary because I had a feeling that I didn’t need one. The early part of my term was spent on reforming the Royal Navy Bill. I and others felt that the stance of Pure Defenderism was killing the Royal Navy and alienating non-defender navy members. I along with others were pushing for a Centrist Military Stance. On the 30th of September, I got my wish. The Royal Navy was heavily reformed, a new charter came into play and an entire organization changed.

After the changes were implemented, I focused on recruiting new members into the Navy. The barracks of the Navy grew, they grew are a very slow rate, but they still grew. The Royal Navy had the ability to pull off a raid on the region of The Creed in early October. We didn’t do anything else because of limits placed by Real Life and then an Election. Returning in November, the Royal Navy went on another successful training mission and have multiple other missions planned. Alexander was appointed as my deputy secretary a little after that and the Royal Navy just kept growing. New Missions are being planned right now.

The future is nothing but bright for the Royal Navy and I myself will try to keep that future bright. I have been through thick and thin with this organization and I will be with it as long as I can. A short history, a history that had very little effect on the overall world of NS, but that will change one day. One day, the Navy will be great and I will be continueing to chronicle the history of this organization.
