^_^ [Lula Lowe][Weapon] Character Name: Lula Lowe Age: 17 ??? Gender: Female Type: Weapon Partnered? No Image: Lula Clothing and description: Lula stands at about 5'2 and has pale skin, a freckled button nose and plump lips. She also has a fairly rabbit-like pair of buck teeth which, while she may be mocked for it, she doesn't mind. She has sharp blue eyes. They are a little large, giving off a sense of innocence or naivety. However, the blank expression she usually dons on her heart-shaped face counteracts that. Her hair is long, straight, and black, with bangs covering her right eye along with two locks that cover where her ear meets her face - where otherwise there would be an awkward patch of fur coming from her ears onto her cheeks. Sprouting from her temples are very furry, very white, and very clean rabbit ears (with extra fluff, of course). These replace what would otherwise be normal human ears and are very very large (bigger than her head!). Lula has an hourglass figure, with chubby upper arms and a decently sized bust - also slightly freckled. She has a small-average waist with a bit of a pooch on her stomach, but she doesn't really care. She doesn't work out much and doesn't have much muscle either. One could describe her as having "almost birthing hips but not really?" The only really outstanding part of her body are her curvaceous and flattering legs, which are usually covered anyway in poofy skirts that go to the knee, and from beyond there are usually long white socks or stockings and flats (in which she walks on her tip toes anyway, out of habit). Her skirts or dresses are usually simple, with lace, bows, frills, poofy sleeves - anything classy and elegant yet modern at the same time. Her adoptive caretaker (the mother to be specific) loves treating Lula as a doll. She doesn't mind being dressed at all, in fact finding it easier to have someone else deal with most of the work. The only real constant in her wardrobe is a black choker. History: The girl had always been a simple being. Ever since day one she had been prancing around in the fields of some grassy place, nibbling plants, checking around shiftily with her large blue eyes while she dirtied her soft white fur. Was it mentioned Lula used to be a rabbit? Well, she was. She was a simple blue-eyed American Rabbit that just lazed her days away surviving, like any other rabbit. That was until, of course, a little witch picked her up randomly and started calling her Lula. Now, Lula had no beefs against this witch. She was really quite kind, if clingy and a bit of a brute when she carried the poor rabbit. But the witch was overall quite a nice person. That was until, of course, the witch started hurting her. It wasn't anything serious, really, just sometimes she'd zap Lula with something [magic]. The rabbit was really unsure what the point of it was but she was a rabbit. She didn't really care. That was, until, she started feeling weird all the time. Her fur would stand on end, her ears got way bigger and she could jump way farther and higher than she was used to. It was really weird but Lula just assumed that's how rabbits grew up. Maybe the witch caused it, she didn't know. But the painful zaps continued and the witch started doing it more often. What the heck was this witch trying to do? Lula just wanted to sleep and eat... One day, the witch brought in a weird pole thing [basically Lula's weapon form]. Lula, again, didn't care, at least until the witch frisked her up and plopped the rabbit down next to it. What did she want her to do? Nibble it? Well she did that and the witch pulled her rabbit ear. She made loud noises and basically just did all sorts of horrid atrocities that hurt her hearing. Then a sudden flash of pain and the whole world was dark for the rabbit. When she woke up, it was still dark. And it was dark for an awful long time. She felt twinges and weird vibes. She never felt hungry or scared anymore. She just didn't feel anything. Let's take ourselves out for context for a little bit here. The witch was a younger witch, very excitable, very cute and whatnot. She had a rabbit affinity and just loved the creatures. She had heard rumors about Shibusen killing off some of her distant family members (as witches were bad). She heard offhand that they usually came in pairs of two: one weapon, and then someone who weilded the weapon. The weird part was... the weapon was also a human. This little witch had always heard stories about weapons and how witches were the ones that had originally created them. It made her sick to think that their own children were trying to kill them. She wanted to make her own weapon and hurt all the other people that were hurting her people with the weapons. It didn't help that she also wanted a companion when her friends and family were slowly being killed off by those weapons. The witch feared going into Shibusen and finding a weapon of her own - they'd just kill her too! And so the witch resolved to be like the old witches and create her own weapon. It couldn't be that hard, right? And since she just couldn't take humans and experiment on them (as that would be likely alerted to Shibusen) she fell back on her animal affinity: rabbits. She had gone through tens of rabbits before she found a cute American rabbit, and she named it Lula. She slowly introduced the animal to magic, pleasantly surprised when she found the rabbit could take a hit from the magic. She then found a cute weapon she felt really expressed her rabbit affinity (yknow, because a rabbit's in the moon...) She did all she could to shock the rabbit and get her mother's help in trying to force the rabbit's little rabbit soul into the weapon. She really wanted to make it work. And after getting her mother, aunt, grandmother, and distant cousin to help her, after a giant burst of magic she was finally able to get the rabbit in the weapon. However... the rabbit's body disappeared and she was left with a little weapon that sent warm little hums through her body when she held it. She was so happy. Soon she'd be prancing around with her weapon and killing all of the Shibusen mongrels! However, there was one problem. She still wanted her rabbit to have a little rabbit form. And she couldn't figure out how to do it. Naturally, this upset the little witch. The rabbit couldn't talk to her. Communicate. She couldn't even wiggle her giant cute floppy ears anymore! That wasn't what the witch wanted at all. It didn't help that the weapon was slowly getting heavier to weild as days went on. Why was that? (Lula was never supposed to be a weapon... her soul was not agreeing with it.) The witch was so upset. She didn't even want this stupid failed experiment anymore. But she couldn't just leave her as a weapon, no. She wanted this dumb rabbit to pay. So what other forms did weapons have besides their own weapons? Well they had human forms. So what better way to force this rabbit into society so that she could get run over by a car or tortured by judgmental humans or something? And so, the little witch passed around Lula through her elders. And they eventually found a way to magic up a little curse that forced Lula to change shape (this time with a comprehension of English, so Lula could hear all the insults towards her weird failure of a body). They dumped her in an alleyway of Death City, wondering if people would mistake her weird human body with the animal ears for a witch and kill her on the spot. Wouldn't that be lovely? They even magicked up a witchy outfit to cover the little rabbit's naked body to encourage it. By this point the little rabbit's soul was ripped and sewn up grossly. Her soul was so unstable that just being in a human body was pain. She continuously switched between weapon form and human form without any control over it - mostly weapon form. Human life was absolutely miserable for Lula. She was in pain all the time and couldn't control her own human body. She didn't know what to eat or where to get food. It was horrible, so she tried her hardest to just keep herself in the broken and feelingless state of weapon form. People tried to pick her up, but her broken wavelength just shocked them. One day, an actual meister of Death City noticed the weapon sitting on the sidewalk. This meister had a very boisterous personality with a pretty easygoing wavelength. With some trouble, he was able to pick her up, even if it was constant awkwardness and pain with the resonance. How the heck did a little weapon even mess their soul up so bad? He didn't bring her to Shibusen first, the pain being too much for him to carry for too long. He instead brought her to his house - he was the child of a baker, with thankfully accepting parents. They coaxed her out of weapon form (well, set her on the couch where she randomly transformed, coming out in a white flash trembling and moaning in pain). They got her more appropriate clothing. The family didn't really think she was a witch, even if she looked like one. For one, witches weren't weapons, and for two, the absolutely broken wavelength of the girl tipped the boy off so that she was more a victim of a witch. They got her to Shibusen with a little trouble, the little rabbit too scared to talk to them. Stein analyzed her as someone who definitely was not supposed to be human or have a human soul. But she definitely wasn't a witch. She didn't really talk to them about her past. But they could assume enough. They enrolled her in Shibusen to try and help her get a hold of her weapon form and soul wavelength. In school, they set her up with a meister with a healing wavelength and out of school, she spent her time at the baker's house. She took their last name Lowe (they said it was custom to take a family's last name) and worked there for them (they said it was custom to not 'mooch,' whatever that meant). So for about a year, Lula tried to work around the limitations of a human body. She still didn't know how to run, and could barely walk in a straight line. She had troubles holding things tightly. She didn't know her own strength (or lack thereof). So even if other people could wield her weapon form and her soul was healing well enough, she was miserable as a human. So she made it her goal to become a rabbit again. She was told by her teachers at Shibusen that every weapon's goal was to eat a witch soul and become a Death Scythe. Now, Lula wasn't very smart. She wasn't even a human. So she logic'd it out and decided that becoming a Death Scythe and eating a witch soul would give her the magic needed to turn herself back into a rabbit. That was all she wanted from Shibusen: to turn herself back into a rabbit and be gone with this miserable ugly human life. And so, she decided she'd need a very strong meister to help her do this and let her cruise through ninety-nine souls to get that witch soul. (The healing meister dumped her as a full-time partner and agreed to meet for soul therapy sessions.) Personality: Lula, having no intention to have ever become human, and without intention to stay one, often has trouble understanding human emotions. She understands the basics: joy, sadness, anger, and fear. But she doesn't understand anxiety, excitement, or other emotions not so easily read. Of course, not understanding them does not limit her ability (and necessity) to feel them. She gets adrenaline rushes and dopamine highs. One emotion she does have trouble feeling is anxiety: tests and social situations rarely deter her -- they often don't leave any feeling on her at all... except anger or annoyance. Mostly anger at someone not doing what she would like (such as pampering her...) The emotion Lula most often feels, however, must be ambition. Ambition to succeed at her goal: to become a simple rabbit again. This means, above all else, she must survive until she can get to this goal. Learning how to not die is not often taught to newborn teenagers, leading Lula to learn this information from her peers. This naivety can lead to good and bad situations for Lula. Because her adoptive family taught her that shelter and food is needed for humans, they also got her to agree to working and baking for the family business to allow them to keep her. In the same way, most people could trick her into things by linking them to basic human survival (for example, one 'needs' a scandalous swimsuit to go swimming.. not that Lula would like swimming). This naivety and curiosity has also taught her to avoid situations where she already knows she'll get killed, like jumping down large heights (she's even wary about jumping down heights of just ten feet). This has also developed in a avoidance of getting hurt (unless, say, one punch avoids a whole battle, see combat style) and also of germs and uncleanliness. Overall, Lula doesn't really like interacting with humans either. Because of her seeming emotionless attitude, many people may avoid her just because she might be boring. And when she does interact with others, she doesn't really understand individual attitudes, so one person's kindness may be met with the same blank expression or confusion that another's rudeness is (this can make her look really rude when she's really just confused). She doesn't undestand the concept of punishment and reward - "thank you" is a mystery to her, despite Lula always attempting using others to get what she wants. She carries this same blankness to authority: she doesn't really respect authority or even the law (mostly because she has no idea what the law really is...). She similarly doesn't really respect her peers (what is respect other than being quiet when a teacher is talking?). This attitude towards humans is slightly shifted when they're inclined to give them what she wants (generally, this is partnership to further her in her goal of becoming a rabbit.) She may even act "nice" to them, bringing them gifts (but never with a "thank you" or a "sorry my wavelength pained you so much you vomited.") Unless it was a forced situation and she really really hates the particular human - then nothing is given while everything is expected to her. She's very strange. She doesn't know/care. Abilities Technique Name: Sensitive Hearing Effects/Description: Lula has very large ears, and as such, has very sensitive hearing. She can pick up on most whispers and shuffles of sounds around her. However, this can also be used against her. High-pitched noises and loud noises will leave her a little paralyzed for their duration and possibly a little afterwards. Of course, she is not nearly as affected by these sounds in weapon form. Technique Name: Weapon Transformation Effects/Description: Lula has a very stereotypically girly weapon. It is a standard, 3 ft long white staff with a large, curved, blunt ornament at the top: a soft yellow crescent moon that is maybe in height. A few decorative red pearl-like orbs and feathers lie at the base of the moon. In the middle of the moon is a glowing red ball that looks as if it should shoot soul wavelength or something. But it doesn't. Lula doesn't know how to yet and really, probably couldn't muster up a powerful enough resonance with someone to do so. So for now it is just a weak blunt weapon. Technique Name: Blinding Light! Effects/Description: If Lula can manage a decent resonance with someone, (so far only her caretaker has managed it), in her weapon form she can become a sort of flashlight. The red orb glows with bright white light and is shone in a cone, facing the direction in front of the moon. It only is bright for about 2 ft, and afterwards is just unpleasasnt to look at, but otherwise harmless. Technique Name: Broken Wavelength Effects/Description: Lula was never really meant to be a human. She wasn't meant to have a human soul. So all she has is a patched up soul that has a few tears in it. As such, it's very easy for another's wavelength to influence hers. So a clown's insanity wavelength would have a much greater effect than intended on her, but the same is true for a healing wavelength. This also affects her resonance capabilities, however - it is impossible for her to have an effective resonance at this point in time. But it's pretty easy to resonate with her at a minimum state. Just no soul resonances until it gets fixed [which can be done with time and possibly a bit of magic/healing wavelength.] Combat Style: She... doesn't fight. She doesn't like hand-to-hand combat and will do most of anything to get out of it. This can be either simply transforming into weapon form, playing dead, or taking a hit to the face or some such to excuse her if it was a class exercise. In a 1x1 fight against a Kishin egg or some such, she would run. (Lola used to be a very fast runner. But after being cursed, she is quite unused to walking and especially running and is prone to falling, tripping, skidding, slipping, etc.) Miscellaneous Information: Is pretty good at cooking and baking. Ears twitch randomly and can also be inverted (like a real rabbit's). Favorite foods are leafy greens and sweets. Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Roleplay Sample: Lula had a blank expression as the girl batted her eyelashes at the rabbit. The average-looking girl (though all humans looked the same to Lula...) was trying to frisk a free cake off of Lula. And not to say she wasn't having any of it... but she wasn't having any of it. "Please pay the amount and tax and I will get you a cake," she said, no emotion in her tone. She stared straight into the other girl's eyes, her gaze boring into the average girl's soul... or at least, the intimidated haggler thought so. The average girl shot straight up from her promiscious position of leaning on the counter, definitely creeped out. "I mean, come on. I'm definitely cute enough right? What, do you not like girls or something?" The average girl's tone quickly went from spooked from angered. Like, really, how could this dumb cosplayer not see how cute she looked? How full her bosom looked in this shirt? How that idiot cashier could stare straight into her cleavage but chose to stare at her face like a weirdo?? "I don't like anything," the cashier said. The average girl was slightly taken aback. Uh, huh? "I hate humans." OK. HELLO? Earth to planet cosplay cashier? "Humans are like, the most important thing on the planet and, duh, you are one? Are you... stupid? Or are you trying way too hard to be in character or something?" "Please leave. We don't need your 'business,'" Lula recited a memorized line. People like this stop by rarely, but Lula luckily was able to find a good phrase to use on them that her caretaker accepted. Too often she would have loved to say this to every human customer scum that came in, but she needed shelter to survive... She blinked and glared up at the "customer" in the least threatening way she could manage. She just wanted the average girl to leave. Edited by Hysterhex, Sep 13 2015, 04:59 AM.
