Character Name: Allison Ayrus, “Ay”

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Type: Weapon

Partnered?: No

Image: CLICKY

Clothing and Description: At first glance, Ay could be mistaken as a social butterfly with her bright and colorful clothing. Her short stature of 4’ 10” coupled with her curly brown tom-boy hair further reinforces this assumption. She has a tuft of hair on the left side that puffs out horizontally, while her other hair stays relatively flat. Her eyes are a shade of dark amber and appear cat-like. Most of the time, her eyes are slits due to their extreme sensitivity to light. Allison has a fair skin tone, the somewhat pale tone that doesn’t become a sickly white only due to her Native American decent. Ayrus isn’t as lean as most of the other girls in the school, instead, she has a very muscular body that shows the amount of time she spends training alone in the wood outside Shibusen. Because of this, she weighs almost 150lbs. Her tireless training earns her many bruises and accidental cuts when she refuses to stop pounding a tree.

Ayrus’s appearance changed dramatically after a meditational dormancy that lasted for over a year, resulting in her “feralization.” Though her height and her generally round and child-like face remained mostly the same, other features morphed. Ayrus’s hair has darkened and grown slightly longer, and two white stripes now don her hair, running back, similar to the appearance of her soul and a badger. Her iris’ have grown hugely, the same yellow-amber from before her dormancy now taking the whole of her visible eye. In turn, Ay’s pupils still remain hyperdilated due to her extreme sensitivity to light, causing her eyes to appear to be almost entirely yellow. Her ears have shrunken and rounded, pulling back to hide in her hair. In addition, her teeth have grown to also mimic her theme, long canines becoming such a problem that she simply lets them hang over her bottom lip now. Her chest, which was once an B-sized cup at best, has shrunken, only giving her minimal cleavage and leaving her upper body appearing that much more male. To contrast that, though, her hips have become wider and her waist remained at it’s shallow curve, giving her quite the butt. Along with it, a small, fluffy grey tail of a badger has somehow grown, and a trail of dark fur runs up about five inches along her spine, however, Ay keeps her new tail stuffed in her pants and hidden.

As stated earlier, Ay wears bright and colorful clothing. She generally wears a top that is anything on the blue side of the spectrum; blue, green, and sometimes grey or purple. The only exception to this coloration is a crimson dog collar around her neck with a bird skull somehow glued to it. She also wears a pair of chains with similar bird skulls, laced through the eyes, in her belt loops most of the time. Her typical outfit is haphazardly put together, and messy. Whenever she is out adventuring, she wears a orange, tan, and blue jacket with a blue 9 printed on the right breast; in addition to her aimless clothing. The jacket is entirely orange except for the hood and arms, which are tan. The inside of the hood is blue and the upper arms have three alternating blue and orange stripes. Many holes and rips are strewn across the jacket, probably because she retained it from her violent life before Shibusen. Some noticeable patches are on the arms and along the back, mainly due to the sloppy stitching and the slightly off colors.

Ayrus’ weapon form is a stark contrast to what the majority of her appearance is. It is a very sleek and large triple bladed fist type weapon. The upper blade is tear-drop shaped forming a guard or shield for her wielder’s hand. The other two blades form a claw-shape in addition to the upper blade. It is almost five and a half feet long. The coloration of her weapon form is very dark, consisting of red and black, with some white stripes that add to a badger-like appearance. Four crimson shapes, one triangle, a quadilateral, and then another pair of triangles run up the back of the two lower blades from the “eyes.” The only difference in this coloration is a white, eye-like marking bridging the gap between the top blade and each of the two lower blades.

Those with the Soul Perception ability would see Ay’s soul as dark gray, almost black, with a small puff in the left hemisphere, similar to her hairstyle. Two white stripes meet at about the center of the sphere, wrapping their way around the back vertically, mimicking a badger. Six small animals, each appearing like a wooden carving, surround her soul. Like a compass, one that appears to be a firefly always points north. Another that is the carving of a fox points south, a mink points east, and a whip-poor-will points west. The other two stay above and below the soul similar to the north and south poles. The carving above her soul is that of a chickadee and the animal below her soul is a mountain goat.

History: Ay’s mother was of Native American decent, and her father of German. Her father was a well known engineer in his line of business and was quite rich because of it. However, her mother was a poorly raised girl that had trouble telling right from wrong. Her Native American decent made Allison’s mother’s soul carry stronger than normal animal totems. Ay’s mother had a possible 9 other children, all of them aborted beside Ay herself. This is because of her dad’s hasty marriage to ensure that Ayrus wasn’t aborted. Allison could have had a twin, but she died in the womb due to her mother’s drinking and smoking problems.

The first few years of Ay’s life were well and unburdened, as she lived in a good community in Yuma, Arizona. However, her dad was out of work due to a lack of the local gold mine’s output. Because of this, her mother sucked most of her father’s money away by spending it on alcohol and drugs. They were forced to move to Colorado when her father was offered a job there. Due to a lack of money, they moved into a small urban home close to Littleton, Colorado. The area was infested with gang activity and general violence.

Allison quickly adapted to the life, since she was introduced into it at only five. She was one of the only students that progressed through school at a regular pace, often meaning that she was the youngest in her classes. However, instead of thriving to feel richer than the other girls in the area by surrounding herself with boyfriends that would steal for her, Ay joined one of the small circles of male friends. Even at the age of eight, she took place in the small organized skirmishes that took place behind the local church on the weekends.

Eventually, her dad gave up on trying to get her mother to stop drinking and walked out on them in the middle of the night. Ay continued to live with her mother for another two years. Her mother only got worse, drinking more and more, and often spending days in her bedroom away from the world. The only money Ayrus got to support herself was a some cash sent in from her father once a month. Her father also sent some money for her mother, although often her mother took some of Ay’s money as well to support her drinking problem. This hardened Ayrus emotionally, since in the world she lived in, crying was a sign of weakness, and she wouldn’t want to smooch off of the neighbors for food. Instead, she used her hunger as a form of self discipline, telling herself that if she could withstand being without food, she could withstand a couple punches and kicks from a bunch of guys.

During these two years, she discovered her ability to transform into her large claw-shaped weapon. Also, the skirmishes behind the church became much more violent. Many boys would bring hand-made bashing weapons to the fights, and many nights, people left with more than just skin bruises. Ay herself had begun to leave with large scratches on her arms or legs. However, she used her upper hand in these fights for “fun” to overpower many of the much older boys.

Ay had only one true friend, and many times she would jump into fights to stop her friend from being crushed. Ayrus’s friend was very scrawny compared to the other boys, and was picked on and tortured because of it. She was the only one that stood up for him, but only through a form of utter loyalty to the underdog. He was very timid due to this, and was often not seen without some form of protection, let it be Ayrus herself or a trashcan lid. Allison gained a rival through her friend, because he would pick on her friend constantly. Her loyalty to her friend caused her to spar with- and often win- against her rival.

One weekend, her rival had enough, and formed a team of others who had enough of being beat down by a girl. Swamped, Ay was almost crushed by the much older boys. The group also killed her friend, although it is unknown to her whether it was by accident or on purpose. She didn’t return home that night, but was rather found by the police that had heard of the battles behind the church. She explained her situation to the man, and he took her to her father, who was living in a suburb with his parents in Parker. From that day on, though, she was never involved in any other fights, and thus not using her weapon form.

Ay’s hardened emotions seemed to let her get away from her only friend’s death without much of a scar. Although, truly, she withdrew socially, rejecting anyone for fear of their dying. She wanted to be able to fight anyone and everyone. Because of this, she spent many hours behind the elementary school in a gulch, pounding trees in an attempt to become stronger. At her new school in Parker, she overheard chatter of a place in Nevada called “Shibusen.” A place where people turned into weapons and other people used them to fight evil. Instantly interested at the mention of humans who turned into weapons, she packed and requested her father to send her to Death City.

Upon arriving at Shibusen, she promptly did nothing. Due to her withdrawal from other people, she found it astoundingly hard to find a meister, unlike the much more social people, who often found partners in a couple days or weeks.

When the Kishin was released from underneath the school, the totems around her soul were awakened by the strong insanity wavelength. Her mood dramatically changed, most noticeably her tendency to become angered at even the slightest thing. She began to push this anger away, but sometimes when someone managed to fully anger her, she released the fury that had been building up inside at the person. This usually resulted in either a emotional beating, but sometimes got to a point that she would physically hurt the person. Eventually, she learned to control this by exerting it at trees on the school grounds.

Some time after the mission in Jamaica, where her newfound friend and meister lost his arm, Ayrus entered some sort of meditation-induced dormancy. After about three months of not paying rent, her landlord stormed into her apartment. She was sitting, crosslegged, leaning back against her couch, head lulled back, eyes closed. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where she was found unresponsive with “no” heartbeat, no breath, and a cold body. Ay didn't actually die, but entered an extreme coma-like state similar to hibernation in smaller animals. Her thyroids, and pituitary glands reduced their activity to only 0.01% of a normal human's; causing her metabolism to drop, and bring heart rate, breathing, and most metabolic functions to a relative standstill. Her heart rate was, at best, reduced to only once every five minutes, and was the only muscle maintained. Her breathing stopped entirely, instead, her airways were left open so gas could flow in and out of her body. With all of this, she was able to survive for an extremely long period of time, with minimal oxygen and only feeding off of minor fat stores or her own muscle tissue.
Despite this, the hospital machines were unable to detect these minute changes in her body and she was immediately assumed dead. Her father had her buried in the Shibusen cemetery, in a steel casket with a glass window over the top portion of her body. She has, since then, remained underground, undergoing transformation for over a year. The question of her ability to survive for so long, being underground and buried was due to the steel, sealed casket keeping contamination out, it being larger than was necessary for her body size and allowing more room for oxygen.

While in her coma, Ayrus remained conscious, and was able to explore and gain a deeper understanding of her totems, learning the entirety of their meanings and abilities. However, when she was supposed to be able to awaken slowly and peacefully from her hibernation with her new-found knowledge, instead, she was suddenly awoken by her body reacting to less oxygen than she needed to survive in her coma for much longer. Panicked, she thrashed violently enough to shatter the glass of her casket and "swim" to the surface, pulling quite a Houdini by doing so. She instantly fainted once she reached safety, that panic and abrupt ending to her meditation erasing almost all progress made during her dormancy. Except for faint memories of the technique she was teaching herself before the hibernation was triggered.

Personality: Ayrus could mostly be described as cold and emotionless, her only shows of feeling when she is angered. She usually puts up a front against people and will walk away if one even attempts to speak with her without so much as a response. She often appears as though she is out for her own mere entertainment, watching others who might be prone to make stupid mistakes or otherwise be idiots for a couple laughs. Sometimes she will purposely break rules in order to piss off superiors or other students for her fits and giggles. Somehow, though, she knows when to stop pushing her luck.

She is relatively simple minded, and will often jump into something headfirst. Ay is easily annoyed and quick to anger. This is also another reason why she is unable to find a partner, as she isn’t patient enough to stay in her weapon form long enough for an opponent to be defeated. In fact, she will attempt to defeat an enemy on her own if her meister takes to long.

Ayus is quite studious, but is still the type to sit in the back of the class and doodle. It is unknown how she gets her work done, although most of the time scribbles of notes can be seen in her notebook, among other things like lazy drawings. She will try to stay away from large groups of people at almost any cost, with her being around three people and getting along well with them very rare. She is often alone, and prefers it that way. Because of this, not many people are stubborn enough to try and break her shell. However, underneath her antisocial aptitude, she is a very loyal friend. Though this has yet to be demonstrated at Shibusen due to her general attitude towards people.

Whenever forced into a social situation, she immediately will find faults in people. This spawns from when she grew up, where finding a weakness in their personality or a weakness in their combat was important for her lifestyle. Ay is very harsh with her words, regardless if she is around others of her age or superiors like teachers. Where most others would act like a perfect child around adults, she will maintain her blunt and sarcastic attitude. This is because she can’t stand kiss ups. Or cowards. Or quitters. Allison views anyone who will bow down to another person without so much of a reason, like groups of “popular girls” that will follow a big-boobed pretty girl as though they were lemmings for example, to be mindless and insults to animals like ants. Even though Ay is very rude around other people, she is honest to a point that it is stupid.

Ay is a complete slob, her most notable trait behind this is her savage eating habits. Even where utensils would be necessary, she eats only with her hands. True to this, everything associated with her is a complete mess, and most of her clothes are unwashed the majority of the time. Allison’s organizational skills are less than adequate, and if she even attempted to clean, she would never get the job finished.

Abilities:

Technique Name: Animal Totem within the soul: Badger
Effects/Description: When angered, Ay “activates” the totem in her soul. Her attacks are much more fast paced and dangerous. When under the effects of the totem, most of her attacks are blunt and are aimed at bruising and crushing rather than slicing. This also effect the meister using her -- if there is one. The badger totem gives her a temporary insanity that can be used in combat. However, when she is being wielded by a meister, this insanity also takes over their soul with her own. Only when an enemy is defeated will this effect fade away. Another downside to her power is that she, and her meister, do not discriminate between friends and foes. However, the effects of the totem only dramatically change Ay's personality so that she reacts only on badger instincts, rather than a physical empowerment.

Technique Name: Soul Form: Badger
Effects/Description: The same thing that occurred for Ay to go into her year-long coma, now causes her to 'accidentally' detach herself from her body. Ay’s soul is separated from her body for a period of time, morphing into a badger. In this state, Ayrus is unable to respond or act while using this ability. Her consciousness is inside of the badger form, and she is entirely in control of the spirit animal. Others are able to see Ayrus in this form. Ay’s radius of movement is heavily restricted, as she can only go 20 yards in any direction from her body, otherwise she would feel an intense pain as the form’s link to her body- keeping her body alive- begins to tear. She remains solid while using her soul-form, and cannot pass through walls or other obstacles. Alternatively, Ayrus cannot interact with her environment in any way, except for things that must move for her soul form to be considered solid (ie, grass, carpet, foliage, liquids), but cannot open doors or create some sort of distraction while in her form. She can only maintain this for thirty minutes at a time, and she requires at least ten minutes of solid meditation in order to perform this action.

Technique Name: Full Weapon Transformation
Effects/Description: Ayrus turns entirely into a large claw-styled “fist” weapon. The back of the blade reaches up her meister’s arm for about a foot, leaving four and a half feet for the meister to use in battle. It can be used for slicing and jabbing, as the blades are sword like. The upper blade is curved slightly, and the part of the blade that covers where the grip is can be used as a type of shield since it is considerably wider than the rest of the upper blade.

Technique Name: Partial Weapon Transformation
Effects/Description: Ayrus transforms one of her arms into one of the lower blades of her weapon form. She is able to swing around her arm from the shoulder like this. The transformation stops at her shoulder, and her arm is lengthened to fit the size of her weapon form; four and a half feet. The back of the claw blade reaches behind her head for a foot. She is only able to transform her left arm, even though she has two identical blades.

Combat Style: Ay is a fast paced and thoughtless fighter. Her skills are formidable, as she can take down a much older and stronger opponent than her, as she often did when she was younger. For example, she would be able to defeat someone that is 17 or 16 with martial arts training. However, she is very impatient when she is fighting. This means that even though she would be able to take down someone considerably stronger than her, it would take some time. If they manage to stall her attacks, she would become angered, usually resulting in her loss. Ayrus will often fight without use of her partially transformed state, although it probably would give her a considerable advantage in battle.

When a meister is using her, she is even more impatient. This is because in battle alone, she is fidgety and wants to be moving on her own accord. She will sometimes force her meister to make certain attacks, although this is less likely to happen as her other idea of controlling herself. If she deems it necessary, as she often does anyway, she will transform out of her weapon form and fight on her own. In most cases, her meister has ten to fifteen minutes to wield Ay before she abandons them.

Miscellaneous Information: Allison’s eyes are hypersensitive to light, making it hard for her to see during the day. She is much more temperamental when she is unable to see something in the distance that others can. However, at night she can see perfectly well. Due to this, she is also impatient because others would be fumbling in the dark where she would be walking as though it was no big deal. Ay also has an extreme dislike of getting wet, and will quickly dry off any moisture, as she claims it starts to sting after about three minutes.

Animal Totems- How they work: All humans are born with nine animal totems in total, one within the soul, two to the left and right of the soul, and six around the soul: north, south, east, west, above and below. The totem within the soul is the main dictator in most of the person’s actions, personality, and abilities. The two to the left and right act as spiritual guides to help a person make decisions in their lives. The other six temporarily lend their abilities to a person during times of need. However, many thousands of years without use of these totem animals has left almost every human without the ability to activate these animal spirits, and now animal totems are mostly out of the equation when it comes to a person‘s soul. Certain Native American tribes continued to rely on these abilities, though, allowing the totems to be passed down through generations. Ay is one of the few people who still retains her nine animal spirits, although she is unable to activate them voluntarily like her ancestors could.

Strengths:
Very loyal to any friends she gets.
Able to fight without a meister or using her weapon form

Weaknesses:
Impatient and will fight on her own if the battle takes to long.
Quick to anger, and easily pulled into insanity as a result.
Anti-social and rude, making it hard for her to find a partner.

Roleplay Sample:
Ay panted, curling and uncurling her bloodied fists as she glared at the now bare and scarred tree before her. She sat down, calming her nerves and glancing in the direction of the school not very far away. Another idiot had ticked her off again, the smartass thinking he could just ram into her as she was leaving class. Ayrus walked up to the tree, flakes of skin still remaining on the bark that was yet to peel away from her relentless beating on it. She leaned on the tortured tree, staring at the back of her hand coldly. Her knuckles were still scared from one of her fights almost four years ago. Or maybe that was just her, looking at recent wounds that resulted in her attacks on the tree.

Something shuffled in the distance, probably another student training in the wood outside the school. Then again, she had chosen this particular spot because it was farther away from where most of the other students trained, and especially farther away from where teachers sometimes held classes. She turned, staring at the spot she assumed to the other person to be. Nothing happened for many minutes, until a small rabbit ventured into the clearing. Ay narrowed her eyes, blocking even more light out of her slit-shaped pupils, watching the rodent from across the small clearing. So far, the rabbit seemed to not have noticed her. Huffing, she wiped her hands on her jeans, making enough noise to send the animal scurrying back into the wood.

She looked back down at her hand, watching the blood seeping back into those cracks on her fingers where the skin and scabs had peeled away. Soon, the crimson bandages caked over. Ay sat down at the base of her only friend at the school, the tree that stood waiting and enduring her endless beatings on it. Another day of learning and rage, although that really didn’t matter to her. She liked the slow and lone pace she had set for herself.

Well since this is mostly a transfer I'm almost ready to accept Ay back into the fold. Just a couple of questions before officially accepting this profile, which i will list in importance.

A new section in Ay's history states she's been buried in shibusen's cemetery for about a year, how did she survive? is she a zombie now? What about all kinds of other problems associated with bodies being buried? Like worms, wood rot, pressure of being several feet underground, and lack of oxygen for a few examples. Ay also has a new ability, may we have more details about how she had developed it?

Whether you decide to keep Ay buried or held somewhere else or whatever, it seems that an important part, albeit new, of Ay is that she has been gone for a year and has undergone a transformation. Any changes to her personality due to this?

and lastly, would you like me to remove the ((NEW)) tags in the profile before accepting it?
