[Regina][Weapon] Character Name: Regis Lapis Lamina “Regina” Age: She believes herself to be several hundreds of years old (at least over 1000 years), but has lost track of time Gender: Female Type: Weapon Partnered? No Image: Regina Clothing and description: Regina appears to be a mixture of a few polearm weapons, most strongly resembling a glaive or voulge. The shaft is made of yew, the circumference of which slowly shrinks towards the rear end almost to a point. The rear end of the shaft is sharpened, but has a bit of a hook/curve, with about the same curve as a thumb, before making the sharpened point so as to be able to get a better grip and driving power behind it if one were to jab with it. The blade is attached about an inch below the top of the shaft, which has been worn into an almost rounded shape, with a large ring that appears to have the blade piercing through it, holding it in place onto the shaft. The blade features a couple of hooks incorporated into it, the bottom half of the main blade is blunt as if intended for blocking and/or hooking people and pulling them closer without slicing through them. The top section of the blade has been sharpened as the main killing point of the weapon. On the side where the curve at the end of the shaft is, is a smaller blade. Although it is somewhat sharpened the strange shape of the smaller blade seems to imply that it is not supposed to be used to attack with, but rather was used to attach the blade, metal ring, and the shaft together and later was either altered for decorative purposes or, less likely, was damaged and sharpened again for some unknown purpose. The metal of the weapon is an unusual steel alloy, similar to Damascus steel with enough cobalt in it to alter the color as well as minor traces of zinc, gold, and lead. Within her soul room Regina can change her form at will, but she does have several forms that she favors. Most times she will have long white, almost silvery hair, pointed ears that would remind one of an elf or fae. The cornea of her eyes are usually black, the irises of her eyes are almost constantly changing colors depending on her mood for that day (or hour or moment), staying within the lighter colors, avoiding pink, red, and brown, but favoring icy blues to lime green, bright metallic greys to dull stone greys, and lavender to bright violets and Tyrian purple. She only occasionally uses greens, yellows, and even hues of white for her irises. Regina’s eyes are normally almond shaped and she has long lashes and medium thin eyebrows. Her nose normally resembles either the Greek or the Roman nose type. Regina usually opts for full lips. Regina normally stands, if you can get her to actually stand on the ground, at 5’3.5” with a B to C cup breast size. Her frame is thin and lithe, though almost as if she were fragile. In most cases she will be levitating or floating around and her hair would flow around acting as if it were in water. A lot of the time she would be wearing a long simple pure white dress, but her choice of clothes tend to be much more varied than her body’s appearance and, like her iris color, depends on her mood. When angry, Regina has a drastic change in appearance, suddenly becoming a large monstrous demon. Her nails lengthen into claws, obsidian black horns sprout from her head, her eyes turn completely red except the black slit that would be her pupils, and occasionally she is prone to sprouting several more eyes. Fangs and/or tusks (usually similar to Aku from Samurai jack) sprout into her jaw. Her normally rosey-pale skin literally turns to stone. Regina’s soul, when viewed is extremely small and almost seemingly compact or restrained. History:* The story of Regina’s origins seems to vary a lot, almost as if it were a folk tale or a school rumor (mostly because people only have Regina’s word for it), especially when it comes to who Regina is talking to, but for the most part only the beginning and bits of the middle seems to change as Regina learns more of the world outside of the ruins she was discovered in. The story always begins sometime hundreds of years ago. Regina was created either by a magical weaponsmith or an extremely talented, often claimed to be the best, blacksmith, as for the purpose of her creation? Some claim she was created for a great king and was treated as his preferred weapon, others claim she was a symbol of great power for a Queen who later turned out to be a witch and has been imbued with a small portion of the witch’s power, Regina herself claims that she was created for a great warrior who was tasked with destroying the world’s greatest evils and that she claimed many of their powers for her own, perhaps this process was done to provide Lord Death with a weapon of extreme power before Arachne created demon weapons. From here Regina’s “memory” seems to have several holes, “Of course it would, I’ve only been properly awake for a couple of years.” Regina’s excuse would be. But essentially, it mostly consists of generic wars and battles in which she was often the cause of, being a prized and powerful weapon at the time, or being in the hands of various warriors as they fought over other things like land, resources, pride, revolutions, greed, lust, power, fear, etc. She often found herself in the possession of kings, princes, executioners, generals, foot soldiers, thieves, bandits, pirates, and even the common folk, though Regina would rarely admit to being in the hands of anyone less important than a king, prince, or some sort of military general. In the rare case she admits that she was in the hands of someone born to a lower status she assures the person she’s talking to that she easily brought them great power, improved their status, and that the person was extremely handsome. However, she doesn’t seem to have much memory of the past few centuries, which she assures, meant she was merely lost to history in this time. The fact that there didn’t seem to be any signs of intrusion or a previous discovery of the ruins she was found in supported such a theory. The head archeologist responsible for the group who discovered her, However, Regina as a… “person”, as an entity with a soul, had awakened merely a year or two ago. Life as an abandoned object, stuck in a ruin with no one to converse with was filled with boredom, something Regina realized she couldn’t cope with soon after she had awoken, and for the longest time she didn’t know what to do, half the time in a sleepy lifeless stupor, the other half the time screaming to no one in particular that she was bored. However, her natural curiosity prompted her to stop paying attention to the outside world, and instead focused on the inner world she had found herself in. With time, Regina realized this was her domain, her power, her space, her soul if you will, and had begun working on obtaining control over everything within this inner realm of hers, first gaining control of what she wore, then her appearance, and slowly she became capable of conjuring objects and changing how everything looked in her soul room, finding it easier and easier to control. Although such a project had prevented her boredom, and she has found much joy in what she could do, she slowly began to bore of it again, and found herself feeling something unknown to her, and soon found herself trying to talk to any animal that had crossed her path, missing the companionship her memories had told her she had while she was still in the hands of humans. Unfortunately, the mice, rats, and the occasional lizard never reacted to any attempts made by her to talk, or at least never reacted in a favorable manner. Eventually, Regina began talking in a simpler manner, and slowly forgot about attempting any communications, but resorted to commands, deciding it was easier to tell if something was indeed reacting to her if they did as she asked, since the last time she thought she got a mouse’s attention it merely glanced at her before running off shortly afterward. Eventually she got through to the mice, starting with simpler things like convincing them to stop when they were running by, and eventually capable of convincing several mice and rats to work together and carry her into other rooms. Regina spent weeks and months marveling at the newfound freedom she had, being able to travel in the ruins that she called home and having all the luxuries she would ever want in her soul room, but like before, she began to feel boredom gnawing at her once more, until that day. One day, Regina heard a loud sound, which she later learned was an explosion, and soon afterward there were people exploring the ruins where Regina lived. She kept quiet at first, partly in surprise and shock, partly in fear of what they intended to do with the place, maybe a bit of shyness, but most importantly, she tried to see if she could eavesdrop and gain information as to why they were there. Unfortunately, she didn’t hear much about their reasons other than the place being a newly discovered site of relics and ruins of an ancient civilization and that they were exploring the place, conducting research, and a whole bunch of other things that Regina neither understood nor bothered to understand. She spent a few days completely silent, before she grew bored of waiting and trying to find out if there was some hidden purpose for the archeologists being there, and called out to them. After a few moments of confusion, almost a day of fear, and hours of searching, the archeologists were able to find Regina and properly converse with her. There were many questions for her, one of the first being “what is a demon weapon doing here?” After straightening out the rude person, the archeologists began asking about the past and eventually it was decided that she wasn’t a very good source of information due to her constantly correcting and changing her stories(“Probably amnesia or something.”), seemingly having a mild case of amnesia, “Well, excuuuuse me! I haven’t been conscious for very long y’know.” However, through questioning and passing Regina around to each other, they discovered a new trait or ability of Regina’s. Every time Regina was passed around, the person who was holding her would gain blackened arms, most of them having their arms and hands becoming stiff and difficult to move properly. A few of them even lost the ability to move their hands and wrists until someone else grabbed Regina and took her away from them. It was soon afterward decided by a female archeologist that Regina should be sent to Shibusen and soon afterward she found herself packed up and sent to Shinigami’s desk. * Personality: Despite being a mundane, ok maybe slightly magical, weapon for most of her life, Regina has managed to develop quite the personality soon after awaking as a sentient entity. Although her memories of the past are extremely fragmented, many of which are fuzzy or only have very vague details which she then tries to fill in details with fantasies and new information, Regina believes what she remembers wholeheartedly. Since Regina’s memories are full of people of importance: kings, princes, queens, generals, and even foot soldiers turned into heroes with her help, she believes that she is extremely important, or at the very least, better than most people and more powerful than she actually is. Because Regina believes she is better than most people she has become rather vain, at least with her appearance in her soul room, seeing as that is the only location she can do anything with her appearance, causing her to have an over idealized form when she isn’t angry and trying to scare/injure someone. Also due to her high opinion of herself, she is untrusting of others who aren’t in a relatively high position of power and won’t cooperate with others until they prove themselves worthy. Once someone does prove themselves worthy to Regina they will find that she is actually a loyal friend. She is also quick to judge people and although she hasn’t had much experience with books she’s of the opinion that you can indeed judge a book by its cover and that you are meant to do so. Despite these facts Regina is also just a weapon, a tool, so she doesn’t care much about who she’s being used against, doesn’t matter if it’s a kishin egg, witch, or even a human. It is also due to her being an object she hates being useless and/or alone, and will do everything in her power to keep her wielder alive. However, there are traits of herself which many may deem inherent for someone of her position as a previously mundane weapon. Because weapons are a type of tool, specifically one meant to aid in the killing of things and tools are meant to make people’s lives easier, Regina is still relatively friendly despite her belief that she is better than most people and tends to call people she doesn’t know a commoner. She also doesn’t like the concept of working hard and thinks people would be better off doing the easiest things for themselves. Perhaps due to her natural physical resilience, she is also very stubborn. Regina has also found out since she became a sentient entity that she really hates being bored and once she had a good cleaning by the archeologists that discovered her, Regina found that she also hated being dirty. Because she hasn’t had much interactions with humans or the world outside her ruins yet, and all she has to rely on when interacting with humans and the outside world is her memory (which would be outdated even if she remembered everything correctly), Regina has become naturally curious about anything she has never seen or experienced before. But due to how easily she gets angry and lack of direct human interaction she can’t take a joke and is easily insulted. Abilities: Technique Name: Soul Self Control Effects/Description: Due to Regina’s lack of body, Regina has found a way to pass the time that doesn’t involve the need for a body. Developed from boredom, Regina has gain considerable, if not complete, control over her soul, not including her soul wavelength. As such, her appearance in her soul room and weapon space is completely malleable, she can change the appearance of her soul room, and she has nearly full control of what happens in her soul room (things out of her control include things like other people’s free will while interacting with her in her soul room, life (although she may keep their soul wavelength to create echoes/copies of those who have visited her room), and death. Regina’s soul is otherwise her domain, and while within her domain, Regina is basically a God. Simply put Regina can change her soul form and her soul room to fit her needs and wants. She has control over whether people can feel pain within her soul room or not, but she cannot kill them, she can manipulate people’s senses in her soul room, but cannot control their actions. While she may appear ethereal and God-like, this is only within her domain, and her domain is only within her soul. This means she doesn’t have any god-like control in the physical world or in anybody else’s soul room (however, she still retains control over her own appearance in another’s soul room). Technique Name: Telepathy Effects/Description: Another ability obtained while trying to pass the time. Regina can communicate with any conscious being within 5 feet of her. In the case of animals she can give them suggestions that they will often times accept and carry out, provided that such suggestions are simple and don’t conflict with the animal’s instincts. Otherwise it is possible to use this ability to actually talk with people. There are two ways Regina can go about doing this, either as a 1 on 1 private talk with someone, or as a broadcast to everyone within 5 feet of her. She cannot talk to a specific group of people this way the only possible exception would be if being wielded by a wielder, due to necessary link between their souls to be an effective team, the wielder could be in on a conversation between Regina and another person. If someone with a decent degree of Soul Perception were to see the ability in action, Regina’s soul would be producing waves of her soul wavelength, almost like shock waves, that would expand in every direction before fading at about 5 feet during a broadcast. During a 1 on 1 talk, Regina’s soul will emit waves of her soul wavelength like before, but it will be focus toward the person in question and be emitting several times faster making it appear to be a beam. Technique Name: Minor Petrification Effects/Description: While one would expect the name to refer to some sort of ability to turn things into stone, this isn’t quite the case with Regina. When a wielder wields Regina his/her hands and most of his/her forearms will blacken, giving a visual signifier that the wielder is now a badass, or at the very least that the blacken portion of skin has been reinforced by Regina’s soul wavelength, making it as hard as stone. There are a couple of drawbacks to this, if a wielder doesn’t have a great resonance with Regina the blacken portion of the wielder’s arms will feel extremely stiff, making it somewhat difficult to move his/her wrists and fingers. In the worst case scenario, it will completely, well, petrify the hands of the wielder, making it impossible to move his/her hands until Regina is somehow removed from his/her hands. This is a passive ability that Regina cannot stop from happening. However, only the wielding wielder can benefit from this ability, any others touching Regina will not obtain this effect. When viewed with Soul Perception, Regina’s soul wavelength will appear to be coating her wielder’s arms. Technique Name: Weapon form Effects/Description: As mentioned in the appearance section (especially since I copypasted it), Regina appears to be a mixture of a few polearm weapons, most strongly resembling a glaive or voulge. Despite these factors, specifically the fact that she's supposedly a mundane weapon that recently obtained a soul and she's been found in ancient ruins, she seems to be in pristine condition most times she is encountered. In addition, she seems to be just as resistant to damage as most other demon weapons. If she were to get damaged however, the damage will recover, though at a much slower rate than a normal human. During this time of repair she'll withdraw herself into her soul and remain quiet. Combat Style: Being a weapon that has been used for centuries, one would expect that she would have all kinds of advice, tactics, strategies, schemes, and stories about her experience in all the many battles that she is sure she were part of. But alas, possibly due to only recently gaining a conscious she has no idea how one would fight even when wielding her. However, she will throw in minor or obvious advice at her wielder occasionally and otherwise pretend she does have such knowledge, but chooses not to share it so her wielder can learn properly. Regina will warn her wielder if she sees a threat coming though, or share any information she comes across. Regina was built in a way that favors wide swinging actions over stabbing actions, although technically possible with both ends to stab. The unusual hooking curves of the blades allow additional tactics for a skilled and physically strong wielder including, but not limited to, things like disarming or pulling enemies closer. It is also relatively safe to do so with the main blade since only the upper portion is actually sharpened so one could in theory pull back a friend, be careful though, you can still break someone's neck with a blunt hook by pulling. Because the lower portion of the main blade is blunt it is possible to grab onto it if additional push while defending or attacking is needed without fear of being cut. Although the secondary blade on the weapon is more decorative and meant to balance the weapon a bit, it is still sharp. Overall, a physically strong person will have a much easier time wielding Regina, and although it is perfectly fine to just flail about with her, using the most basic of motions as if she were merely a standard axe or halberd, Regina's unusual traits favors someone a bit more spontaneous and clever than the average brute, although for the extremely clever types the unusual features of Regina may only allow for relatively simple and straight forward tactics tacked onto the hack and slash style she was built for (But I could be wrong). Miscellaneous Information: When Regina is angry with someone in her soul room, she will punish the offender. Either by throwing them into a black void or ripping him/her apart if particularly angry, which will then force the person in question out of her soul room, if the person happens to be touching her and resonating directly with her it may cause a burning sensation and a desynchronized connection between their wavelengths until Regina gets over it. This is her attempt at killing someone despite knowing she can’t actually kill someone in her soul room. Strengths:

Hey Tats, I’ll start by saying that this is a really awesome and solid character, as I would expect from such a seasoned pro. Regina is almost ready to accept, the one mod I have is that in the interest of fairness, Regina’s weapon-ness needs to be an ability. Even though she is essentially a mundane weapon with a soul, because all of our other weapons need to pay for their ability to be in weapon form, Regina will have to pay for it as well. If you can please add that then we’ll be all set to put Regina into play. |

Ok I have managed to post it now. I have added the weapon form as an ability. For this, I have copy and pasted the description from the appearance section into the effects/description. I have also clarified that although Regina is essentially a mundane weapon with a soul, that she has similar attributes to demon weapons. Perhaps due to her soul? I purposely left that vague for now that. |
