Roji's Soul and Rough Character Sketch
Her soul:

Her character sketch:

Clothing and description: Roji is lean, but not skinny. She has brown hair tied up at the nape of her neck, when loose reaches her shoulders, has hazel eyes rimmed with steel blue, and wears wire framed glasses. She looks like a boy at times, but can look like a girl should she choose to dress like one. She has a boyish body type, and has wide shoulders, a square-ish face shape, and the thick-ish middle of a effeminate male, but her chest is rather large, but not overly so (roughly half a millimeter above a standard B-cup). She is 5' 9'', but has never measured and thus she's inaccurate with her hieght when asked.
Her daily clothes consist of beige, thick, one piece shorts and vest one piece set, as the collar is like that of a suit, and the 'shorts' reach her knees. The lower half of her set (or, if you prefer, the 'shorts'.) have zippers around the hem, as they can attach another section of fabric to make it seem like she's wearing 'pants'. She also wears a type of seal in the form of 'bandages' around her body, from her neck to just above her hands and just below her knees, to control "Namas". For footwear, she'll either be wearing a set of steel-toed sneakers with steel shanks (which are pieces of steel rods which can be inlaid into the soles and sewn inside the the top, inside the material) in the sole, or a pair of combat boots with steel toes, and steel shanks in both the sole and two steel shanks. She'll also be seen with a reverse 'fanny pack', which has just as much space in it as her old green backpack.
Her soul is made up of five different parts but take up the same amount of space as a single, normal soul, but only meisters with strong soul perception will see the four different sections that are visible. One being an white version of her face, taking up about 3/8ths of the soul, a red and brown version of 'Alex' taking up about a quarter, a blue and green face of Cain which also takes up a quarter, and a pure yellow version of DJ Sammie, which takes up the rest. Should someone with the powers of say, a god, see her soul (I.E. Shinigami-sama's level of soul perception), it'd also have a black core (which takes up roughly 100th part of the soul, in the core where nobody can see,) interweaving all the different parts of her soul together. This section is named "Namas", and is often seen very plainly to regular meisters with soul perception when Roji is under the influence of madness. The white part of her soul, at that point, is shoved to the core and is no longer seen.
History: (The Roji I RP) Roji comes from another dimension, but has lost most of her memory. Her home dimension was very normal, the sun a blank disk in the sky, too bright to look at, and the moon had phases in which it would go through.
She also never really had a male figure in her life, as the numerous amount of men in her life that were with her mother always left, making her feel more than a little disoriented. She has sometimes wonders if all men are the same, but never had any real time to reflect on that though. The men in her life is also why she has moved a lot in her time in her dimension because they were living with her and her mother, making life unstable and slightly draining, and due to the large city with many towns inside the district of her city, gave a lot for scenery and people changing, in more ways then she could count even though her city was a mining city, that mined the most nickle in the world. Her main language was English, even though French was spoken in her country as well, which she now remembers to be Canada.
Her childhood was normal for the most part. She has ADHD, and thus she doesn't concentrate very well. She was always picked on because she was shy, and almost always alone because of the way she acted, and because she was titled as 'creepy' when she easily picked up on something going wrong as well as for the amount she moved around, not being able to spend a lot of time in a single place.
the people that would talk to her, used her, even though she tried to be a good friend, but in the end they never talked to her after she was used, leaving her alone again. For that reason she doesn't trust many people. Most people also walked in and out of her life, leaving her very insecure about herself, even if she tries to hide it. She doesn't like crowds for the above reasons.
Her split personalities came from the feelings of insecurities, as well as a defense from killing herself. She let them form from the age of thirteen until now, current era. She never really had friends, those who pretended she didn't count as friends in the end at any rate, and distanced herself from emotion thinking she wouldn't get hurt that way.
She was the type who was interested in auras and the occult, determined to learn about her soul and the powers that she could use by manipulating them. She learned a very weak version of soul purge in her home dimension, by studying her soul wavelength, or at the time to her, aura, by training on trees, because she is afraid to hurt animals as well as other humans. In her birth dimension, it worked on anything, but it was weak because she was afraid of her powers, and never trained harder, never trying to push for more, even though she was stronger there then in the the dimension she currently resides in now.
She varied in different types of soul wavelength techniques, mostly just by transferring it into another object to make it stronger. This ability didn't transfer, however, when she came into the Soul Eater dimension because of her loss of memories, but now she realized she can't do it anymore because it wasn't an ability she learned, but rather passed down in the family tree, from her father's side.
She loved art, and drawing. Having time to draw was one of her favorite things in the world, along with painting and learning about art forms as well. Her favorite thing was music and alone time, which she had plenty of, because of her past and isolation. She loves games, and that is one of the reasons she loves hikes, to make a game out of being alone in the forest as well as training while she was alone.
After some time, she moved into her own apartment as living with others was uncomfortable with her split personality, and that is when the dimension shift happened.
Going for a hike, Roji felt a strange energy, being strongly hypersensitive to auras at the time, or as now she knows, soul wavelengths. There was a clearing out in the rocks where she was hiking in, and so she wandered to it. Barriers were set up around it, probably from the space-rip that had occurred, but now Roji recognizes them as witch's barriers. She wandered forwards to a yellow and red light, flashing an occasional blue. It looked like electricity, constantly moving, never seeming to get tired. Intrigued but scared, Roji tried to go back, but found that she couldn't, feeling something ominous come from the strange, flashing light.
Pressing forwards despite her fears, Roji decided that it was growing when she approached it, her own soul wavelength rising up with the odd light. Roji managed to get close, and then she realized that she was literally being pulled into it by that time. Confused and afraid, her mind shut down when she was swallowed, her mind fragmenting and reshaping so her memories of how she grew up gone, but not the knowledge of what she was, or her basic survival skills.
Waking in a strange place, she knew it was wrong, but didn't understand why. Villagers who were hunting nearby came to see why the flash of light had occurred, when she looked at them and asked, “Where am I?”
Taking her in, the next few weeks all of her personalities blacked out, and it was when Roji, the main personality came through, that they realized that her personalities were split, and thus kicked her out of the village. The same happened in every village, and from what time she did have control of her body, she picked up odd jobs at bars and learned to fight using her soul wavelengths, now stronger due to her fear no longer hindering her. Using the knowledge of her soul wavelengths, she found that she could control her split personalities, and thus work with them. Her mixed martial arts comes from watching many people fight, as well as fighting herself, along with training when she's traveling from city to city. She still felt insecure about herself, a reminder that she didn't remember her past. She felt left out, because of her constant moving, and inability to make solid friends.
Coming up to Death City, she found that she wasn't so unusual here, and stayed, taking a job at DeathBucks, the local coffee house. Students coming from the DWMA always talked about their training, and this intrigued Roji, so she decided to apply. Getting in, she was happy that she didn't have to hide as much as before, when she was an outsider. Happy for the first time in this dimension, she went to school, even though she didn't like it. But then everything changed when she met her first partner.
Because Roji was from another dimension, it turned out that the 'version' of herself in this dimension had died, and had her 'soul returned' to the next living 'copy', which as the soul couldn't go anywhere else as this Roji was still alive, therefore had to go to the current living soul and merge with it, returning the space-time continuum to it's corrected state. Every memory transferred as well, as did Roji's memories of her own dimension, which she was both glad and sad for, but decided to remain in this dimension, as she was obviously meant to be here.
At this time, "Namas" formed as well, "Namas" being the embodiment of both Roji's sorrow, anger, hate, and madness. Her personalities also split from her soul, and thus gave her a 'split soul' at the same time Namas was formed. As for the fact that the Roji in this dimension was a untrained weapon, Roji had a choice. To train in her weapon form, or to stay a meister.
She chose to remain a meister and foregone the ability to ever transform, seeing as how she had a weapon partner, and as she had developed feelings for her partner.
On their tenth mission together, they both ended up severely effected by madness, and "Namas" came out. Killing her partner, and at that time crush, nearly broke her, even though the Kishin Egg was defeated without much structural damage, which was highly unusual for the poor meister.
It was in that time of mourning that something strange happened, very strange indeed.
She learned to talk to and control "Namas", by excruciating efforts of concentration. Taking this information, she logged it with the school, and after a year of rehabilitation, she went back to classes, which is where we are left to now...
SE Dimension Roji's History
The Roji originally from this dimension was a rather odd child. She often dreamed of a place where a blank disk hung in the sky, instead of the laughing sun that often adorned the blue abyss, and a moon that shone different shapes, rather then the toothy grinning moon, which always seemed to be gnawing on something bloody.
Ever since she was a child, she often wondered why she had the ability to transform into a nice, black suit of armor, but never questioned it. She enjoyed playing with her friends in elementary school, and felt as if her dreams were another her in a different place. Her mother and father, who lived in a country house, often worried about her and her odd dreams, but never questioned it, and often referred to her transformations as 'something special', where she would one day learn about the place she needed to go to control such a thing, but the timing wasn't right for that just yet.
She never heard of Shibusen, nor of Kishin eggs because of this, but when she started feeling sick at the age of thirteen, being five years behind the counterpart that was magically whisked to this dimension, she knew that her dreams had come true, and that the person on the other end of her dreams had come here to be apart of whatever her parents talked about. She knew she had to meet her, but she died in her sleep, a peaceful death, before such a thing could happen.
Traveling to the strange woman who was her at the same time, she was but a soul, and got sucked into her counterpart. She now lives on in the Roji that came from the strange dimension, and is also now apart of her, but also the merging tore apart the soul in the Roji that was transported to this dimension, which Roji now lives with.
Personality: Roji is a wanderer, never liking to stay in one place too long, because of her past in this dimension, but she's actually very polite, even if she doesn't come off that way at first glance.
She has split personality, and tends to stay by herself a lot. Her split personalities grew from when she was thirteen, as a self defense against killing herself. They come out strong to weak, depending on the situation needed. Their names are Alexander (Alex) Cross, Cain Goshawk, and DJ Samuel (Sammie), and a new addition, Namas Blackheart, to which all the other personalities, or now known as 'split souls', are afraid of.
Alex is the wild one, where he never sits still and is always saying something kinky. He tends to get serious in a fight, sharing some of Roji's taste in rock music. He's always moving, and likes to be able to get up whenever he wants. He loves the great outdoors, and is more of a nature person then the other three personalities. His style of fighting is more of a Karate, or Judo style than Roji's, but it has been adapted from hers so it could use immeasurable improvement. Overall, he's the one you would love to go out drinking with, as he can always liven up a spur-of-the-moment party.
Cain, on the other hand, is calm and collected, but he shares Alex's sense of humor, which is vulgar and kinky as well. He's more of the studious type, always wanting to learn more. He tends to get too far away with his skirt chasing, and is always in 'the mood'. He seems old and wise, and when serious in battle, always give helpful, though most of the time cryptic, advice on an enemies weak points. In short, he is the old wise man that everyone avoids in any type of situation apart from battle, where he can use his wisdom and potential to his fullest.
DJ Sammie is... a DJ, who loves music and tends to be the 'party guy', and can be a handful if he has too much alcohol. DJ Sammie is the one with all the music, mostly electronica and techno, mixed with dance. He's also the technology whiz out of all of the personalities. He's playful, but can fight, though he almost always goes for injury instead of the kill. He's soft hearted, and really good with the ladies, if you ask Alex. He's sweet, and is normally the least dominate out of all four personalities, which leaves for less soul space for him. However, he is always there for his friends, which he can make easily, and loves to be at his tables. DJ Sammie is the softest person out of all the other personalities, which is probably why he isn't on the forefront more often.
Namas Blackheart is the embodiment of all of Roji's hate, anger, and madness. Thusly, she's the only one that will be able to come out during times of immense madness, but the drawback is that Namas will always want to kill. Doesn't matter what, so long as it's moving, she'll kill it...
Well, almost. Being a part of Roji, she can be controlled to a degree, but she's still mean and spiteful even if Roji could muster up the control.
Roji tends to stay herself most of the time, calling out different personalities (Except Namas) for different reasons. She can also call on another personality manually, when the personality type is needed. She tends to shift from personalities when she feels trapped, or rejected. The triggers are different, and sometimes non-existent. This is used mainly as a defense, giving her mind some time to rest and recalculate a situation, and also letting the others get a chance to be exposed to the world. This tends to confuse, and sometimes scare another person, and makes them leave her alone. However, there are downfalls to this, as when she want to confess her love to another person, and the reaction triggers a personality change.
Roji also fears Namas because of how Namas is, insane. She tries to hide Namas at all times, and therefore, ends up hurting herself emotionally by blocking people out of her life trying to make sure nobody sees Namas. This causes strains on relationships of any sort, and therefore a great emotional strain on herself.
She doesn't like working in teams because of her split personality, and can be self absorbed and mean because of her past with bullies and what she remembers in this dimension. However, she is very empathetic, and likes to help others weaker than her also because of her past in her own dimension, because she sees herself in them, which is a reminder of what she was. As for her ADHD, well, let's just say she has extreme trouble focusing and sitting still, but she can control it when she needs to.
She likes to remain strong because of the constant fights she's normally in, over one thing or another. She doesn't go for looks, but to remain limber and be able to defend herself, if necessary. She prefers to stay out of fights when she can, but her past line of work tends to make her a bit jumpy, so she's always on the ready for breaking up a brawl.
In retrospect, she isn't nice if you don't know her, but once you get her to open up she's more than willing to do anything for you. However, if you do end up on her bad side, you'll know hell. She is the 'quiet warrior' when it comes to being able to spread gossip, and therefore anyone who has met her and made her mad hasn't been able to show their faces in the city they resided in for five years after. She's vindictive, basically.
She really doesn't have a purpose for life, except remembering her past partner.
Abilities: Ever since the 'soul merging' all of Roji's abilities have decreased (With one exception: Hypersensitivity) to about 2% of their full potential when not taken by madness. (This is because of her soul splitting, as the event gave her different wavelengths (which, if merged properly, would give Roji back her normal wavelength) and thusly, unless Namas (otherwise can be referred to 'induced madness') is in control, then she cannot utilize her full soul wavelength anymore.
Technique Name: Chakara Walk (Thanks Shinigami-sama!)
Effects/Description: The ability to draw her soul from her body and integrate it into another object, i.e: a wall or another solid surface. She uses this to run up walls, and stand on the underside of trees. However, ever since her 'merging of the souls', she found she could only maintain this (Unless induced by madness) for two minuets, and even then it's a hit an miss scenario, which is only 2% of her full ability.
Technique Name: Soul Waves
Effects/Description: The ability to create electricity using her soul as a channel to make electricity from the protons and electrons in the air. (Like how stein's Soul purge looks like and acts like electricity, but in her case it's actual electricity she's making.) She can send bolts only by touching someone, or through a channel, like a stick, or metal blade. (Anything flammable will be disintegrated when she uses this with full ability.) Since the 'soul merging' event, she can only use 2% of her output in non-madness form, which before could paralyze a person or physically harm them, but now only causes a single second of shock, and confusion.
Technique Name: Hypersensitivity To Auras
Effects/Description: (passive, almost always fail) Roji can feel the emotions of others, like an empath, but hers is more diluted and pointed towards a person. She doesn't use this ability while thinking about it, and it's very sporadic, jumping from person to person. The most effect that this has in battle is finding a location where strong emotions were felt very recently, which could be useless. The most this works for is social situations, and even then, it will probably fail. (Range-5ft, bad targeting every one of my posts)
Technique Name: Split Soul
Effects/Description: This means Roji is now 3/8ths of her actual full soul, as Alex and Cain are one quarter, and DJ takes up most of the rest, Namas being the core of the soul (100th of the soul) and interlinking the soul using madness. However, this causes a drawback, as it means Roji has five different soul wavelengths, which if you were to funnel all five into a single wavelength, would make the original wavelength that Roji once had. This causes difficulty for finding partners, as each wavelength cannot be separated and used individually, as the entirety of the soul must work together, as they are one complete soul, in essence, that is merely broken, but still merged, as stated before, with madness interweaving the entire soul into one.
As such, Roji must have a partner that could merge her wavelengths into one complete wavelengths, instead of five, separate, broken wavelengths. It's more of a hindrance, rather then a bonus, because of the fact if you tried removing one section of Roji's complete soul, she would die, and her soul would disintegrate.
Combat Style: Roji tends to use mixed martial arts when fighting. She doesn't like weapons, so she uses her fists. But she prefers sword like weapons, guns or anything bladed and close ranged if available. She tends to take the defensive until her opponent is weak, then go on the offensive. She isn't powerful, but she knows how to make a weakness her strength. But, should she be caught unguarded she's quite vulnerable to attacks. She's in between from a normal fighter and a demon, but she never uses her strength to hurt innocents. Her split personality can also be used in battle, switching from style to style (SEE: Personality) to confuse her enemies.
Miscellaneous Information: Is deathly afraid of bugs, and being weak, also has a tendency to either talk too little, or too much.
Strengths:
- Soul wavelength abilities and uses for.
- Her obsessiveness with training so she stays strong
- Her ability to work alone when on missions.
- Her perceptiveness at picking up wrong emotions/auras
- Her sensitivity to others emotions, letting her know when they need to talk and/or when something bad is going to happen
Weaknesses:
- Can't work well with others because of her stubbornness.
- Has really bad aim when she's mad because she shakes
- Her OCD with asymmetry (It just is, like with Death the Kid. ._.)
- Her vague answers and inability to work with a weapon because she's vain
- Her lack of focus (ADHD need I say more?)
- Her tendency to slack off when she's in a depressed state
- Her fear of Namas.
- Her loss of ability strength and time limits on her current abilities.
- Her Split soul causing many, many issues.
Roleplay Sample: Roji, seemingly cold now, wandered through the halls where all of Shibusen's pupils were pushing her back in a steady stream, and seeing as it was the end of a school day and she was yet again going to the training fields instead of home, this wasn't too surprising. However, looking around for an empty spot was going to be hard, as all the students in the EAT classes were practicing Soul Resonance.
Roji was doing no such thing, and Professor Stein knew as much.
Managing to make her way to a secluded spot, she unleashed Namas, and felt the shadows slowly forming in her mind. Reigning control over Namas, Roji was sweating, and in the crouched position on the ground, she knew it didn't reflect well upon her.
However...
"Why have you done this!?""Because we need to talk... Roji answered back from the deep recesses of her mind. She felt the twisted frown on her face contort into a evil smile.
"Oh? and to what do I owe this pleasure...?""Because we both know-"Being interrupted wasn't a good thing, but Stein knew that their 'chat' was effecting the rest of the students.
"If you'll excuse me Roji, then you'll put that away and go home. You're trying to talk to something akin to a kishin, and-"Namas had enough, and dashed at the teacher. What a terrible mistake. After trying to zap him with what is equivalent to a mosquito bite, and then trying to jump him (unsuccessfully) from above, Namas had landed on her back, and quickly reverted to Roji. Roji, heaving for air, moaned.
"All I wanted to do was try and see if Namas and I could get along..."
