Posted by COS_VADER some time ago Good source for boots - http://www.shoes.com/product.asp?p=5012394...ariant_id=37473 Sketcher Defender - not the most accurate, but they'll work: http://shop.skechers.com/shop/men/shoes/al...0179&STYLE=null These are the most accurate, but very pricey: http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/product.aspx?Dep...rogrpcode=share http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores...72601&top=gents Timberland Torrence Chelsea Boot ($115) Accurate, but needs a good polish: http://www.flcrooks.com/index.asp?PageActi...ogle&ProdID=155 Also try Froogle for pricing (but the boots must be black): http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=black+...=ff&oi=froogler Yet another boot source: Submitted by Ekho... |

Although I agree that those sketchers would work, personally, I'm anal enough to want to hold out for a more accurate looking boot. Even if you give those shoes a good polish, it'll still lack a subtle specular quality that a more expensive shoe would have. |

I have one shot with this lump sum of money I have. My family is bankrupt, this is the money i got refund from my scholarship, and I will most likely not get anymore. I am getting what i need for this suit now. Getting it together, and getting into the 501st. This is my one shot. There are no more after this... |

Go with those boots bro! The Detachment Leader of the Special Ops Detachment of the 501st said those would work perfect. That is all you should need.

Can I get a picture of the inner thigh assembly from one of you guys/girls, I am looking at mine right now and they don't look like they go together, also, where the velcro should go to hold the thighs together. |

Here's a couple pics of what I recently picked up. It only cost me half retail, but it was still 80 bucks. Not bad, same price I paid for my TK boots. They're Cole Haan chelsea boots if you're lookin. ![]() ![]() ![]() The toes are a little more flat than I'd hoped/expected, but I think they'll do the job. |

I saw some really cheap ones at Wal-Mart but you'll have to cut off the side "ring" straps. Almost a perfect match. |
