PVC pipe, CD spindles, an LED tap light wired into the finger trigger of a joystick, A toy truck motor and axle wired into the thumb button to spin it. Plus odds and ends... ;)

Thanks Rob. I found something that you may be interested in. Or anyone for that matter who has the non hi-gloss ABS. After giving it the old once over with the ABS polish, get some "Mirror Glaze". It is about $7 for a little spray bottle. Wipe it on and buff with a microfiber cloth. It is awesome! I can actually see myself in the mirror like finish! The more coats you buff on and off the better it gets!. I use this stuff on all of my ABS! I try to give everything the once over after every troop.

Hope this helps!!

Very cool, that's awesome you made that. Would you be willing to do some more detailed shots of it and some orthographic type pictures as well, for referance? I realize you put alot of work and time into building it and researching it as well. I understand if you don't want people making the same prop that you made yourself.
Sweet work though, that is so cool that you made it actually spin, most impressive.

Not normally a big fan of non SW related hardware, but I must admit, that mini gun looks pretty kickass. The grey pauldron is a nice touch too.

I actually don't mind at all if others want to make one too ( I have no ego) ...I will try to put some info together. As I am kind of a tinkerer and use a lot of parts that are laying around, I will have to give a basic design and you can embellish as needed.

That would be one of the greatest things ever!

I might have bee nwrong about that, i just watched part of the seiries and i didn't see it where i thought it would be, i'll look some more.

There is EU reference for a mini-gun. I happened to come across it in one of my old WEST END GAMES RPG books. And, ironically, Dave's unit is almost a carbon copy image of the thing. I keep forgetting to get you that info, Dave, on the mini-gun. One of these days, when I remember, I will show it to you. The next trooping event that we are at, perhaps....
