Hey guys and guyettes, a big shout from Oz. My names Rob, and you guessed it I'm from Australia! I've just recieved my stealth armour (Black Gloss AFX Kit) and have begun to assemble it. Thought I'd take the time to introduce myself, as I'll be harrassing you guys non-stop with my newb questions.Has anyone ever tried to wire up a stealth suit with L.E.D.s, areas like the helmet and torso, just to give it a special, even more techno look? I'm thinking about doing this but don't know how to or even if it's possible. Would this prevent me from geting 501st and more importantly Spec Ops :ph43r: registration? I'll post a few pics when I finnish the armour and I'll try to provide a few examples of what I mean later. See you guys on the boards.... or maybe I wont Rob |

Welcome Rob
I believe a Sea Trooper in the 501st rigged his face plate with some lights, Mr. Fett, to be exact, i've seen him around here as well, very talented guy. I think it might be alright to rig the suit up with the lights, Under one condition, when they are off, the suit looks normal. That would be fine.. i think. The Safest way to go, would to first assemble your armor reference accurate, take photos and be accepted, then add the lights. Really you will only notice the lights when they are on, so if you build them into the suit right, they shouldn't even catch peoples eye when they are off. Great to have you here! Good luck on the suit, sounds like you have got some cool ideas. |

Do you mean to put LED's on the suit in the same way that Republic Commandos do it? IMO it would look really slick but you would have to turn them off when taking photographs for 501st application Should be a pretty interesting discussion either way! Welcome to the boards!
