Just thought I would share what I have been working on the last month! So, I am working on TWO projects at the moment. The first one of coruse is a Snowtrooper. I am in the process of saving the money for the armor. I have most of the soft goods, just trying to finish the duster and do the mod on the boots. The other costume I will begin soon will be a custom Mandalorian! I have a helmet coming soon then I'll start working on getting the armor. This is a fun project, I just what to make a costume that "might" be in the Star Wars world. My idea of course is a "shadow" Mandalorian. Here are a few very rough ideas I have I did on photoshop the other night. ![]() ![]() The many colors are black and a dark gray with a very few hints of a blood red. I think I found a nice gun to use. I might be able to use sometimes with my TX. (not canon of course.
 )It's a Nerf gun, found it at Wal-Mart for about $8. I plan to add the PVC pipe on the end and maybe a small scope. Not sure on that part yet. Paint it a nice semi-gloss black and you have a nice new Star Wars gun. ![]() Now, I'm not sure how I will attach the pipe to the gun. Still working on that part.  This started with just ONE TX armor and now I am on TWO more projects! But I am having a blast!

Dude... I would add a custom stock to the other end of that nerf gun. As far as mounting a PVC pipe to the end of the gun, I would think that if you get a big enough pipe to (its ID to fit over the OD of the nerf barrel) fit over the existing barrel it should work fine. Hot glue or any kind of plastic glue or epoxy should keep it firmly affixed. I love the concept, man. I can't wait to see the progress on it! - Bill |

I want to do a stock on the end but I can't figure out how to attach it. I thought about cutting a slot into the handle but I am afraid it will bust on me.
Right nowI am going to sand dow the gun and attach the PVC pipe and give it a good painting. See how it looks and go from there.

So it's a nice day I thought I would work on the gun a bit.
I first sand it down with wet sand paper. As I was working on it I found that the gun is hard to get to. So, I got my screw driver and took it a part. I didn't want to do this this because I was a little scared that I couldn't get it back together. I took lots of pics to use when I put this back together. Inside of a Nerf gun... ![]() ..and a part. ![]() After a little more sanding I let it dry and then gave it a few coats of primer. ![]() I'll sand agina then prime and then see where I'm at!

As far as adding a stock to it, I was going to suggest that you find a point where it is accomodating to drill a hole in the back somewhere and attach a stock using a pin of sorts to keep it together. And then glue the pin in place with some epoxy or hot glue or something along those lines.... Something like this: ![]() If that makes any sense? |

Okay, I did a little more photoshoping on the gun.![]() The top version is the one I had though about doing. The pin system could work for this too. A different take on Fett's blaster. BUT... I really like tavrikgannon's idea fot the stock on the top. Now, the only problem is the gun will not work with the stock on top, but once again if it is cool why would I want the gun to work. The gray tube is a possible scope, in case anyone was wondering. I will have to think about this one. Hey, for another $8 I could just do both!   Thanks for all the ideas!! I'll keep posting pics as they come!

what about doing a stock similar to this:![]() IMO it'll hold up stronger and last longer when trooping! |

Just a Gun update! Did a little painting this weekend. ![]() Still needs another coat or two but here is a quick mockup of what it will look like. ![]() And without the barrel.... ![]() I am still going to work on a stock for the back end. Still haven't figured out what I am going to do just yet. hmmmmm.
