Prospective Spec Ops; Want to help a new Shadowtrooper?

Hello every one.

I've decided to join the 501st, and after a bit of looking around decided Shadowtroopers are definitely the coolest looking troopers.
And even though black armor will be painful in the Australian sun, I want to join in the Special Ops fun.

However.

After searching and searching, all I can find is basic white trooper armor.
The one supplier I found that made black sets isn't making any more for quite some time.

And it seems like a slightly bad idea to just paint the basic white in black.

Can anyone help me?

Shot you a PM. eBay is a common place to find armor, you'll just have to keep an eye out for it. Expect to pay $400-600 for the armor set.

Best of luck finding one! When you do get your armor you can be certain that this forum will be an indispensable resource for common questions and construction help :ph43r:

Thanks for the PMs everyone, very appreciated.

Have contacted the two suppliers suggested, but alas,

no black kits available for at least a few months.

Oh well, I'll just have to keep my eyes out, till about January.

Patience is a virtue in this hobby. Some Vaders and Fetts take upwards of 3-5 years to complete, so a few months will get you ready buying the rest of the suit parts, like boots, Under Armour, voice amp, and blaster. ;)

This is true, however, I'd keep your eyes peeled and check ebay on a daily basis, because I would'nt be surprised to see one pop up there before a supplier does come through. Guys are always selling their armor to pay for new projects.

if you DO find armor and you are sure you want it and read every detail and checked his/her ratings then i suggest that you make a bid fast! black trooper armor is rare now and i've seen black trooper armor selling for 600 dollars and then in a 5 days go to $1980 because it was a rare item.
i'm not saying to just buy the armor if you see it read carfully and search carfully but rember this the early bird get's the worm so be sure to always look out!

I might be able to find you a kit, I am unsure though. I'll talk to my friend who knows a guy.
