It is a cool piece, but I can find no official storyline from LFL source materials so I tend to believe the writeup in the eBay ad may be fan-fic. I also think I remember hearing this blaster is based off a customized nerf gun, so you may be able to find it cheaper and paint it yourself.

You can troop with it at any non-canon event, but as a heads-up, please don't submit membership pics to your GML with this weapon or your costume may get rejected for improper weaponry (but I have politely argued the point with the LMO that the official CRL spec doesn't require a weapon at all, so the inclusion of one that does not match the spec should not merit rejection of the costume as a whole).

All Hail COS_Vader! I am so glad I checked here this morning. It is intend a nerf gun called a Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6 and it sells for $30 at Amazon and shipping if free. You just saved me a ton of money. I would much rather buy this and paint it myself. It is a cool piece I would like to add for non-canon event/whatever else cause its just freaking cool.

i think the tube stripe colors should be optional between: Blue, Black, Silver, or Mirrored!

No mirrored, sorry. ;) There's no reference for it and we need 3.

Yep blue and black.
In fact it use to be black only until Hasbro came up with a series of collectibles with blue stripes.

Can someone tell me the definitive AB button size/color configuration for the Stealthtrooper? I don't see any info. about it in the CRL.

I've been looking through WIPs, and I see all black, all silver, combination black/dark blue, combination black/silver.

All black is the safest way to go. That is the majority and most of the references have black only.

So are there plans for Stealth Troopers to have an "elite" armor status as our white TK brothers have on the FISD?

Isn't the Elite status just a costume that's an exact copy of the film versions? I don't see how we would have an elite staus available to us.

That's true, different standards for each movie as well. Though, there is nothing about the standards that couldn't be done on a Black Hole Trooper. The only difference would be overall color of armor.

An "Elite Status" version of the costumes would be a cool thing to look into for the future, but as I can see it, all it would be is just starting to get things to conform to movie standard sizes, materials and maybe certain color schemes. I think we'd need to pound out the Visual CRLs first as well. (And really do you want to wear rubber gloves as in the movies?)

Any thoughts on if "Elite Status" has an immediate future in the Det, Crazas?

I am sure some do. Many take much pride in there elite armor (and some times too much).

I think you guys are close but not exact on the intent of elite/deployed programs. Here is the charter I created for FISD:

Quote:

Expert Infantryman status is not required for members of this detachment. It should be viewed as an optional set of requirements for those who wish to take the accuracy of their costumes to the next level, and be recognized accordingly. We're a costuming club - think of it as an award for costuming excellence and you get the picture.

The requirements will not replace or supersede 501st standards, but only serve as an inspiration for the level of accuracy that can be achieved. The standards are meant to be high but achievable, and any changes to the standards will need to be approved by a majority vote of this detachment.

The goal is not to be movie accurate. The goal is to be a bit more accureate to canon sources than current 501st standards. Any costume can have base & deployed (if you don't like the word elite then use deployed) standards.

Most people like it because it gives them room to grow so to speak. Even if you don't go all the way, it's nice to understand how to make your costume better. Remember that base 501st standards are meant to be easy to achieve.

Also note that your deployed program can be whatever you want it to be. BSN strives for total canon accuracy. MEPD & FISD do not and are more inclusive. BSN deletes application threads as soon as they are done. MEPD/FISD leaves them in public forever.

In the end it should be something that you as members of the detachment want it to be - it's your det after all.

I think it would nice to have formal standards over here, but, unless I am wrong, they would just be the white armor standards in Black...
