Found a source for black canvas fabric Black Canvas This is my first attempt at a belt. My sewing skills being a little rusty its ok IMO but I think Ill make a second one. Didnt have any 3" elastic at the time and forged ahead anyway. Now Im thinking it would have been a good idea if it had it. I did put a plastic plate in to take the weight of the blaster. Also made the drop boxes detachable for when carrying a BFG. The straps can be tucked up into the hard part of the belt and stay hidden. ![]() ![]() Ill post some pics of the second model as soon as I get it done. |

I checked that site out, but there really are'nt any belts that have the correct canvas type material or are completely void of the holes and or straps. I'd just go to walmart, pick up a yard of black canvas for 4 bucks and glue(E6000) and wrap that around a couple strips of plastic from a large for sale sign. |

As Bacta put it "completly void of holes" that was the problem originally. So I knew I would have to make one not a big deal kinda fun little project. The canvas belt was made up since the TK belt is actually canvas not the FX plastic. Just a different look. Dont get me wrong the supplied plastic is pretty cool in all of its super gloss. Its basically for when I wanted to be more in line with my TK brethren. The only problem I had with going down to Wally World is mine no longer has a fabric section . That and it seems my local independant fabric stores are going the way of the dodo. You will need a fairly heavy canvas plus the support of 2 bands of 3" elastic to keep it from rolling over onto itself. As well as a plate to support the holster on the left side. Im doing a second version now Ill try to get some pics up or you can check out the FSID board to see how they done one. |
