Hey all, looking for an information thread on how to build the neckseal. I know Quick2 over at Cloud City knows a guy who has made them in the past, but I would rather make my own as a fun project while I wait for my set. Does anyone have any resources or site/links they can point me to? I looked around here a bit, didn't really see anything then hopped over to the cleanies page, didn't really see anything so now I am just asking XD Call me lazy and I'll say maybe! JadesFire |

Tht's a pretty good start on that page. The only thing I would do differently is the hanging piece. I cut a full circle and then match it to the person from there. |

I think what I am going to do is take the project with me to our next armor party and work on it while being able to check out the other guys' neckseals... I don't like the hanging strips either and I am thinking that if I get two black t-shirts I can just attach the neck piece to the second shirt. I will take pictures as I go and maybe make my own tutorial XD I think I can be a little more specific for those who aren't very familiar with sewing machines. Once I get it all organized I will post here and then create a website since I don't have one anymore. Yay Jade! |

If you can find them on eBay, it becomes less of a project and more of a quick purchase...like buying a Tshirt - just be mindful of your neck size and fit. I bought one for around $25 shipped thats made with a glossy latex foam that lends itself to the glossiness of the FX shadow stormtrooper armor. I was happy with it because there are circular rings sewed into the ribs to retain its shape, while being breathable and flexible at the same time. The only caveat is that it doesn't look machine-wash friendly..so I wouldn't be able to permanently attach it to my underarmor upper. Anyway, just a thought! |

Mods - hope this is OK to post: TK4205 over on FISD makes shirts with the neck seal attached. Very convenient esp. if you've ever forgotten to take yours with you to a troop. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=1119 |
