Like most of you Im guessing I got a grey pauldron with my armor. I was never happy with it due to the wrinkled vinyl and weird slick sorta sticky black vinyl used for the top. So I figured Id rebuild it. Well I tore it apart and thats about as far as it got. That was several months ago.

Here it is rebuilt still needs some tweaking here and there but its nice and thick now.

I used some black vinyl for the underside so it can be reversed from white to black if need be.

So they can be salvaged. Is it worth it prolly not the only thing I think I used was the foam core. Even then I had to build that up.

The dimples on the left side is due to it supporting its own weight when you have it on its flat.

This came out looking pretty good, I really like the puffy look better myself. I remember someone posting a link somewhere that has the original motorcycle chest guards used for the film. They're not exactly cheap, but it could be worth it for some. Look under the riding gear/chest protectors section..Vintage Iron.

wow! haha that product page has some great content - and im not being sarcastic. I find it thoroughly entertaining :)

"Special Note: After yours arrive, please don’t call and ask if we shrunk the chest protectors. They are the original size, your gut however is not.

Special Note #2: If you are a Star Wars nut and want to buy a chest protector for your Storm Trooper outfit we won’t make them in a special color unless you order 100!"
