Dlt-19 Question/advice

So, I introduced myself in the new member forum. I am awaiting the arrival of my TX kit.

I've been perusing MANY sites involving the stormtroopers and stealth troopers.

I am looking at getting a custom DLT-19 from CCC. (Not sure if I can provide the link to the exact one i'm looking at, but it's the V2 because it is the most accurate to the screen.)

As I stated in my introduction, I'm looking to emulate things I did in the Marine Corps, except in the Star Wars Universe, to kind of pay tribute. LOL...

I noticed that the DLT-19 has been modified with a scope to be used as a Sniper Blaster Rifle. As such, I was wondering if it is more acceptable to put on a truly functioning scope (no, i'm not going to use my Unertl, LOL) or should I just look to have a resin "prop" one put on?

Has anyone ever done this or something similar and decided to go the "functioning scope" route?

Thanks for the guidance.

Can you send me the link to this DLT-19 that you are thinking of.

I am not familiar with a DLT-19 having a rifle scope, that sounds like the DLT-20a.

Here's the link to the description:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DLT-19

Here's the blurb:

"The DLT-19 was not as popular or as well-known as the standard-issue E-11 blaster rifle, because it took longer to assemble and load. However the DLT-19 was much more powerful and had a much greater range than the E-11 model, and was sometimes modified for use as a sniper rifle. In this configuration it could shoot down swoops, or even light airspeeders."

I'll shoot you that link ASAP.
