so very many options! At least I know there is some squidge (word?) room for me to add a personal touch and not fear rejection. I'm liking the humbrol grey mouth and flat black for all other details, all painted except the tube stripes. Tonight I was mostly working on the armor which took a while for some reason. I'll need a friend to help with the shins and thighs and I need to watch dave's garage some more to help differentiate between the thigh and shin pieces. Thanks for all the help guys and I'll be looking for that spatter guard stuff so long as it provides decent airflow. |

After double or triple layers of the window screen I think your more or less dealing with the same thing air flow wise. I went the splatterguard route since to me it looked more finished. Then again the fans in my frown blow out. Your choice both ways are fine. Now hurry up and get it done so we can see!! |

You're in luck! My paint came today and the end is near. Tomorrow I'll go to the hardware store to find some good screws for the bottoms of the ears. I wore the unfinished suit to a LAN party; now I know where I need to adjust, trim, and whatnot. |

So... after I posted that I couldn't wait I went ahead and painted the frown. ![]() Thats also underarmor temporarily blacking out the frown until my permanent source is found. |

Might I suggest cutting the brow trim until it just meets the ear.![]() Pic courtesy of "Star Wars Helmets.com" I do like the no decal look. The mouth came out pretty nice!! So nice and shiny!! Are you going to get new lenses? |

I tried the over the ear thing because there is a gap between the front and the back which it is covering up. I'll cut it like in the pic in case it causes problems for approval. |
