I'm currently using mirrored window tint on some packaging plastic. Looks great in pics, can see through them pretty easy. Would like to find some actual lenses though. |

I ordered a mirrored motorcylce helmet faceshield from these guys... http://www.helmetsetc.com/detail.asp?product_id=DH-SHIELD-FLIPUP-MIRROR This will be my first time working with this, so we'll see what happens. I'm sure I'll have some material left over. If you like, I can send you a portion of the shield to make your own, for free of course... |

I am starting my TX now and i am very excited. It sounds like there are still issues finding a good silver mirror lens that is flat enough to glue in. I did a quick search on Amazon.com and found the following results. Does anyone have any experience with any of these lenses or manufacturers? I think they may work better then the helmetsetc because it looks like they have good flat area around the ear attachment. One concern that i have is how transparent the lens is. We all want a mirror that will not show the eyes. Any thoughts? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0017IZ3YC/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1Y5N2SFT000AD&v=glance http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B001C2T1HS/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1Y5N2SFT000AD&v=glance this one looks very flat http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000BKV38M/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1Y5N2SFT000AD&v=glance http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B001A6GTAS/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=AJO8BSPGGJBVI&v=glance http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000HL5B8S/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1Y5N2SFT000AD&v=glance Jim S, TK6294 |
