I made a cloth belt.

I cut "for sale" signs and placed them in between the cloth for reinforcement.

I also took a mousepad and removed the black rubber part, cut them, glued them to the inside of the belt using E6000 (1 piece for the TD, 1 for the holster side and one for the right side). The rubber material helps the belt not to move, slide or droop.

Turned out really nice!

I will defer to the wisdom of the Det leadership, as I am too new at this for comment...

I'm not wanting to use this in the front, just to wrap around the back. It would connect underneath on both sides of the Front plate.

id gess that the higher powers will san no to that simply becus its stiching is rong and shaped . This is wot was told to me by a top bilder ........ attach the ABS front, I use Chicago Screws (from tandyleatherfactory.co.uk), 1/4" long. You can get them in black!! One in the middle and one at each side. However, when punching the two side holes in the belt, I actually make them into a short horizontal slot, rather than just a hole. This means that, as you bend the belt around you, the ABS front can move just a little, thus ensuring that it doesn't start taking any strain. Leave the strain bit to the leather belt - it won't break or crack. The ABS will!

i used a solid black belt as you no and it was not expensiv alsow lookes ace ill post som pix tomorow

I went ahead and used the abs for now, because I want my approval. I'll eventually get to this. A guy in my garrison gave me some contact info on where to get a good one.

Yours looks great. You're wife did an excellent job!

The belt is supposed to be as shinny as the armor, but at this very moment I just can't remember what has been written in the CRL about it.
I'll promise I'll check that for you and post about it later today

OK here's a copy of the CRL
"A Stealth Trooper MUST have the following:
- Black, glossy professional-quality Stormtrooper armor (made of solid or painted ABS, HIPS, Styrene, or Fiberglass). If converted from a white TK, no white may ever show on the armor.
- Silver, battleship grey (exact match of helmet stickers), or black helmet frown. Cheek tube stripes may only be black or very dark navy blue. Crown indents may be battleship grey or black. Earcap vertical stripes may be black, grey, or dark navy blue
- Opaque flat or bubbled helmet lenses, colored either black, smoke, silver, or dark green. A spectator must not be able to see your eyes through the helmet when worn.
- Matte black TK-style neckseal
- Plain Black Gloves (preferrably leather, but may be rubber or Jersey-style cloth). No ornamental/decorative stitching is permitted
- Solid black or dark navy blue undersuit, either one-piece or two piece. Non-textured, non-shiny material, but wide vertical ribbing is permitted. Commonly used items include dive suits, “UnderArmor” or “Starter” warm-up suits, or dance unitards
- Black "Chelsea-style" ankle high, laceless, non-ornamentally stitched boots. Boots may be leather or vinyl preferrably with small U-shaped elastic sections on either side of the ankle and up to a 1” heel. They must closely match the TK standard, but be glossy black vs. white
- Blaster. May be an E-11 or BFG. MG34 (DLT19), Lewis Gun (T21), or MG15 (unnamed in SW galaxy). These weapons may be a modified toy blaster (i.e. Hasbro), scratch-built, resin cast, hyperfirm rubber cast, vaccum-formed, MR, or real demilitarized guns. Blaster may (preferrably) be weathered and must never be able to fire any projectile
- E11 holster worn only when an E11 is carried. When a BFG is carried, TD-style ammo pouches are highly recommended. No thermal detonator or belt dropboxes are worn when BFG and ammo pouch is equipped (per TD specs)
- Four “teeth” cut out and backed with black screen on either side of helmet “frown”
- Thermal Detonator

OPTIONAL Stealth Trooper Modifications (Accepted, but not at all required)
- Rank Pauldron (Black, Grey, Orange, or White) Made from vinyl or leather. Blue or red is NOT an acceptable color.
- Black leather, Vinyl, or Canvas Ammunition Pouches (MP40, MP38, or similarly styled) Worn on the left shoulder, and also on the belt. Ammo pouches may only be worn when a BFG is carried.
- Black Macrobinoculars. Styled after those used in the Special Edition, but matte black in color.
- Black ANH Stormtrooper-style ComLink
- Hinged cod/lower back pieces for mobility.
- Helmet fans and helmet cutouts for ventilation. Any cutouts must be backed with black screen so a spectator cannot see your face inside the helmet.
- Voice amplifier and/or voice effect board w/Static Burst.
- Black Hovi-Mix cast “tusks”
- Resin E11 modification kit is recommended for the Hasbro E11, to include Hengstler counter, cylinders, and spiral black wiring from counter to cylinders.
- LEDs/sound effects (for firing effect) are permitted in blasters. LEDs are NOT permitted on the costume itself.
- Black matte canvas or leather belt as an alternative to the plastic belt is permitted per FISD Elite standards.
- Armor may be slightly weathered, showing silver, grey, or black scratches. But armor must remain glossy (never matte black, ever)
- 5 ANH-style "teeth" holes on each side of the frown on the helmet. Holes must be backed with black screen so nobody can see through them."

So, there is no reference about the belt by itself, I think you can go for canvas if you want to. (It will look pretty cool!!)

well, i made the armor almost FISD elite standard...since TX troopers aren't in the films now one can really pinpoint on accuracy, we can only go by the crl, and it does say we can have canvas belts being optional....
"- Black matte canvas or leather belt as an alternative to the plastic belt is permitted per FISD Elite standards."

i think a tx should look almost like a tk, just mainly black. just my two cents though!

Then again, canvas would be more stealthy, you know, not as noisy. :D
