Hello fellow troopers. Some of you already know that in August I went East and picked up the CAP armory. I've been busy vac-forming set decorations and costume pieces for two Halloween Haunt projects here but have also managed to pull some trooper stuff in .090 HIPS. 1/8" High Impact Poly-Styrene to be exact. I have a commitment to the Haunt folks until Halloween, then I can concentrate on other things. Thought I'd share that I plan to have ANH helmet kits in Black 090 HIPS ready soon, the first ones will be "do it yourself" kits, and later I will offer assembled helmets as well. Here are some pics of what I've pulled thus far:![]() Do it Yourself Helmet Kit; faceplate, cap n back, com covers, nuts and screws, brow trim, neck trim, lens material, hovi's with screen material (not shown). ![]() ANH Faceplate "Stunt" in .090 HIPS ![]() A few helmet kits in the works I've been told by the FISD people that my stuff is legit once I replace a few Stormtrooper items: TD cannister keypad, knee-plate, ab buttons. I'll do this in November as well and document it so I can also offer complete sets of armor. Currently I'm waiting on a shipment of plastic to complete these helmet kits and then I will take this to the Junkyard. Regarding Glossy Black armor................................I will be looking into this as well. Thanks |

Well I had a weekend off so I decided to build the helmets I had pulled. My white plastic was not good for the kind of forming it takes to do these so I am currently in the process of getting resolution. The blacks came out pretty good. They're pulled from .090 Styrene. See for yourselves and please lmk your opinions. Thanks. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the kind words. Here's a rundown for you guys; The helmets are made of HIPS and will require painting. I could shoot color (Black) on a few if need be. They come with rubber trim, resin Hovi's, and lense material. TK-4510's decals work perfectly on these but I won't provide them except on a finished helmet. Finished helmets take a bit of work and time. I do this for fun, not for income or a job (already have two jobs) I think I have around 15 helmets like this currently and will like to get aproval from Spec Ops Brass before starting any "for sale" thread. Thanks for the compliments. |
