Well I am gonna start working on making my shadow scout and posting my WIP thread here So far what I have is -Don post helmet (needs to be mod and painted) -Cummerbund/pouches (employed some locals in my garrison to make it so its still being made) -Vinyl fabric for the boots -Blaster (which gots more air bubbles to count to fix but it came with the helmet so props on saving money) What I need right now is -The armor (which i am pending the funding for SC armor white to convert to black) -A whole lot of black spray paint -Bondo to fix a new aerator in the snout and some mods for the helmet -coveralls/flightsuit -boots -gloves (pending with SA dealer which he is local too) -(and every tool/supply needed for putting together armor) Likely gonna start with the helmet due to it being the only thing I have to work on at the moment so O.< hope everything works out right for me and I will post up some pics soon |

Well here is some pics of the helmet which was modded some by the previous owner which he didnt do all to bad but still got a long road So things I need to do -Sand more of the back to have a more finish feel off that license tag -Put a new metal backing for the face mask to reinforce the flare down (which its pretty much stayed but needs it to be sure right now in the pics it has nothing in the back -Fix the aerator on to the mask which I bought off a member in the bikerscout detachment -Decals off -Bondo! for the misc holes and the back tag -Getting a mirror lense -Clean out the inside -new head strapings/patting

alright here is a mini update of whats going on so far -Cleaned off helmet from its decals and now is going under lots of bondo to clear up some cracks and holes made by the previous owner and will begin sanding...and more sanding Just got my Cummerbund and pouches by LadySewForUs and its awesome and also got my boots off the bay for 20$ so I gots to go mod that with my vinyl   i'm trying to look up for a nice silver mirror lense for the helmet and might get one off the bay or from a local motorcycle shop so still shopping around |

Alright just wanting to know before I gotta repaint stuff: I have painted the gray square on chest, snout, and side button for helmet. Is it alright for it to be there? Here is the helmet (with flash). I was thinking of getting a silver lense should I or shouldnt I? Also to decal or not to? If i were to decal may it be matted black like the shadow troopers? Does anyone know about AFX fast shields and or use those? I know it can be used for shadow troopers but not sure on shadow scouts.  Little test fitting   whats left on the list is: -Getting the lense -more padding to the helmet/ screening the sides -connecting chest and shoulder bell stuff -connecting the poches to the chest -connecing the belt armor poches thingy -make boots and connect holster whatcha think? i think the gray snout is cool, but the shadow scouts in the comics didn't have the gray chest square. |

I'm not quite sure what the LMO will pass. I know straight back will pass. You can always apply as is and if there are changes to be made he'll let your GML know. -iz |

heh well i guess its better to be safe...went and repainted it    >.> still keeping my silver lense lol (bottom there it is and meshed side)  me test wearing helmet    now if i stop slacking and work on the boots x_x Edited by Torisempai, Apr 27 2010, 11:32 PM.

Yeah it seems the safest is just to do everything black and no grey parts.
