As a number of troopers in RBG know. I am working on building a Shadow Scout and joining the ranks of the TXs. I have ordered my armour from SC (includes helmet which they put together) and was then refered to CathyB and PA for Cumberbund, Pouches and Blaster. With Muppet's (RBG's GML) help I have emailed wookieecantina for my gloves and will be ordering soon. Since the ones I have got already are not quite right. My boots with help from 'Tirilia' (RBG Trooper) are on order from 'Witness' from the BSN forum. And my overalls from Ebay. ![]() The gloves in photo are not going to be used. Total cost so far. Soft Parts: US$120.00 Armour: US$650.00 Blaster: US$65.00 + (PH)US$32.50=US$97.50 Overalls: US$53.91 Boots: US$175.00 + (PH)US$60.00=US$235.00 (estimated cost) Gloves: US$30.00 + (PH)US$13.00=US$43.00 TOTAL: US$1199.41 Pics will be coming as things arrive. Gloves ordered and PP sent. And first post updated. Edited by Hopfot, Apr 24 2010, 03:20 AM.

So does Costa Rican Outpost!! Always good to have our numbers going up and up!! At this moment, we have 143 registered TX, Gunners have 122 and Clones 221. Are we able to make a local effort and recruit members to reach 222????? LOL |

First thing we have to do is to thin the Clone Trooper numbers... Shouldn't be too hard, they have outdated tech, right? ![]() -iz |

Thanks for all the support guys. Was only just thinking that we need to increase the number of TX troopers. I may even go a little further and do a General Wier. But we shall see. Wolf:- I will have to look inot those boots as I have decided not to use the pictured boots. |

Congrats on starting a new Shadow Scout! Looks good so far and your breakdown gives new troopers a good idea of how much it actually costs to get one started - pretty much a first that I've seen here. Kudos. Always remember there are a lot of folks willing to help you if/when you need it, here and at our sister site, Bikerscout.net. ![]() We love to see progress pics here, so keep 'em coming and show off your hard work! |

Thanks COS_Vader, I decided to post a breakdown of cost and as detailed as I can get with my progress to help future troopers with making a deicision on what costume to do next or start with. I'll be getting a bit of help from my local Biker scouts and are mostly researching as such, since it is all just bassically a black version with some slight differences. The more I look at referance pics the more I wanna do a General Wier. Got my gloves yesterday. ![]() ![]() As mentioned in first post, I think , I found a seller browsing through the BSN forum. Good place for a starting Shadow to also find extra help. For some reason I think those guys are affraid of teddy bears.

Thanks to 'Tirilia' (Fellow RBG Trooper) I was able to source my boots. Link she sent me. A member of BSN is making boots for scouts and can do them black. So I have placed an order, a little more than my estimates but still in total working out cheaper and of easier then doing it my-self.First post updated, total cost of Shadow Scout complete. I hope. |

I know a guy some how got pics taken with red accents, though he does not have all the Weir markings. As far as I know, there has not yet been a General Weir approved in the Legion. (Though we have one in the works.) Might be time to change a few Forums around and try to get some more reference pictures up. -iz |

Not sure how or when he got that approved, but I've seen shots of the entire armor, and though it's "Weir-inspired" it is not accurate for the Weir character. For a start, Weir has 2 bandoleers not one and the design of the boxes aren't accurate. Shadow is making a Weir, and is being pretty exacting about it. I can't wait to see his finished product. I think what he does will get Weir a costume choice. Maybe we'll have our first TX Face costume when he gets it approved. -iz |

The Legion strives for accuracy and I'd love to see a Weir (and not just inspired) approved in full for the Detachment in the future. It'd be cool to see what someone comes up with. Thanks again for your costume breakdown pics and specs. It'll help a lot of new (and old) members get an idea of what to expect when they do the costume. |

No problem. I thought something didn't seem right when I took a second look at that armour. First thing I noticed was that there were no cylinder peices at the top right part of the bandoleer and then some. |

It was just like christmas today when I got home and found a large box that had arrived in the mail. Opened it and begun to unwrap all the bubble wrap and beneath it all....![]() One very sexy looking Black suit of armour. |
