Murder

He ran a hand along one of the stones. It felt cold to the touch. Memories came flooding back to him; he could remember some of the emotions that he first felt when he came to the area. It washed over him like merciless waves - he felt disoriented and left at once. With renewed courage, he had come back, kneeling before a nameless one. There were flowers before it ... fresh ones. Someone had been here recently. He ran his hand over the cool marble another time. It was just a common slab of rock with no name, nothing to distinguish it from the others other than its smaller size and pearl-white surface. It was just ... that. Simple, clean, undisturbed by nature.

"I'll keep you company."

Emarion was passing through the graveyard. She did not like being here in all honesty. For it made her stomach churn, seeing all of the graves of people she didn't know that had passed on. It had a habit of bringing back some rather unpleasant memories of hers each time she visited here too-another reason why she normally avoided this place. She took a quick glance around the graveyard, it was pretty empty, though there was a seventeen year old boy nearby.

She turned back to the grave that she was looking at, placing some fresh flowers down. Her partner Digimon Spadamon remained silent as she did. She had been looking down at it for a moment or two when the boy she had noticed before had came over to the grave and said that he'd keep her company.

"Uhh thanks." she said in somewhat of a shy tone.

He was bitter. Bitter that someone had came and disturbed his peace. Was he even talking to her? No, not in the least. Had people really changed that much? To the point where they assumed that everyone was talking to everyone ... behind his dark hair, he stared at her, then turned back to the marble silently. His eyes flickered slightly; from greyish-blue, they turned to a darker hue of red, but soon enough reverted to their original form. He seemed to not be affected by it, merely continuing to stare at the tomb.

"I wasn't talking to you." Cold, but effective words.

Emarion blinked for a moment. She could have almost sworn that she had seen the stranger's eye color changing behind his hair. Had she just imagined it? Probably. Eye color doesn't usually change after all, she thought to herself.

"Uhh Sorry." she said in response to the stranger's comment, feeling somewhat embarrassed that she had thought that the guy had been talking to her when he wasn't. It was kind of awkward. She went silent for a moment and simply stared at grave. Conversation with strangers was not her specialty. She wasn't normally the one to start conversations with strangers. Which was probably just as well, as she didn't want to bigger fool of herself.
