The Hagurumon let out another grinding screech as it stopped to look at them, it's gears moving and slowing erratically. It then seemed to stare at Drake, and the entire set of crests seemed to react to it's presence. Drake stared at the Hagurumon for a moment, getting a bad feeling from the way it stared at him. He then felt the crests as well, as they pulsed warm in his hand. He didn't quite understand, but he quickly put together that this strange Hagurumon must have been after them for some reason. And he had a strong feeling that they were in danger just now. The Hagurumon didn't even announce it's attack as it opened it's mouth with a screech and shot out a set of black gears at Drake. Drake staggered back, as Pyre suddenly stepped in the way to block them. He was able to endure the attack well enough, but he let out a growl of pain as they hurt him. He staggered now as well as he said, "Grrr. Those attacks really hurt... They've got more kick than I thought they would!" Steel then took up a position by pyre, having to stand since he couldn't fly in this place. he growled defensively as well. Celes went over by Drake and said, "Drake! Are you ok?" She looked at him concerned. Drake nodded as he regained his composure and said, "I'm just fine. But that digimon... Something's not right about it." |

Jovi slid her eyes to Jorris not saying much as she nodded, she then looked to pyre seeing the attack then slowly looked towards Hagarumon and took a deep breath. Yuki growled softly and took in a deep breath, when she blew out a stream of ice comes out of her mouth at the opposing digimon attempting to freeze it in it's track at the same time as Colin went to ram his body into the enemy |

Jorris was extremely confused. Haguruon were usually docile - okay, not docile, but they usually worked as minions for more powrufl digimon, doing the dirty work and not battling. The fact this creature attacked made Jorris feel very unsetteled. So much, in fact, it took him to notice where his own digimon had gone. Colin was very, very close to hitting the hagurumon. But Jorris was faster. He slid on the ground and caught his digimon right before the poor creature would impact with the Hagurumon. "What do you think you're doing, Colin. You could be killed! You're not strong enough yet," Jorris cried at his digimon, tears in his eyes. He cradled the digimon within his arms, still on the ground. Though Colin was safe, Jorris was still lying on the ground very close to the Hagurumon. |

The Hagurumon, was partly encased in the ice from Yuki's attack, but with a twist of it's gears, the ice shattered and fell from it's body. It was just about to open fire on the closest targets to it, Jorris and Collin as it was opening it's mouth to launch the gears. Steel then said, "Oh no you don't! POWER METAL!" He then launched a massive Metal ball at the Hagurumon, bashing away the gears and just managing to graze the Hagurumon. It spun a little from being offset, but soon straitened out to get ready again. Pyre growled as he tried to get ready to fight again, but he flinched as he grabbed his arm. He had a partly lodge gear stuck in his arm. "Ahhh! Damn it! My arm!" Drake ran over to his partner and said, "Pyre?! You alright?" Pyre clenched his teeth and said, "I think that thing broke my arm in that first attack... It's too darn strong for it's level... We can't let it hit any of the others." |

Jovi gasped and quickly ran over to Jorris and knelt down "Jorris, are you ok!?" she gently grabbed the man's arm and began helping him stand up. Yuki ran to Hagarumon and jumps forward as she goes to slam her hard head into the opponent's body attempting to hit it hard. |

A few fragments of ice touched Jorris's skin as the Hagurumon broke free. Jorris rolled over to see what happened, and was about to get a face full of virus-infected gears. He probably wouldn't have a face after that. He closed his eyes, hoping it would happen fast. Then the sound of metal hitting metal rang out in Jorris's ear. He wasn't completely sure what happened, just that the Hagurumon was spinning away from him. He thanked the digi-gods. And thank the digi-gods that the young beauty was helping him. Jorris nearly forgot that he and his digimon were in mortal peril when Jovi touched him. He beamed at her, taking her hand and getting up in an instant. He almost let Colin slip out of his grasp before remembering he had been on the ground for a reason. Colin was struggling to get free again. He had escaped from his tamer's grasp time and time again, this time shouldn't be too different. "Stop it." Jorris's voice was harsh. He had torn his eyes away from Jovi to stare down at his digimon partner. "I'm not letting you go out there." Jorris took a look around to see what had passed since he had been saved. Jorris could tell from the angle of Pyre's arm, as well as the fact that he had a huge gear half-inserted into it, that this digimon was toughed then it should have been. He didn't want Colin to get any closer then they needed. Though he did wish he and his digimon could be more helpful. Colin whimpered softly. He wanted to be useful. He didn't mind giving his life for his tamer. But he stopped for the moment, rebuked by his tamer's voice. |

Steel launched off another attack the Hagurumon with his Power Metal, but as the shot went at it, the Hagurumon managed to dodge it as the Metal ball kept going till it hit a wall. The Hagurumon then counter attacked at Steel, firing it's Gears at him now. Steel wasn't the most Agile digimon on the ground in this form. His preferred way to fight was in the air as Dorugamon. So he had a hard time dodging the barrage, some of them scraping his body and leaving nasty marks under his fur. Yuki's attack managed to strike head on while the Hagurumon was busy, but it's body endured it easily, not even dented. It then had to stop it's attack and twisted to slap Yuki with one of it's gear shaped hands. Drake looked to the others and said, "Guys! Try and stay clear of that digimon! It's attacks are too strong to take head on unless you're a Champion!" Pyre was fighting past the pain of his own injuries as he regained some composure. "It's hard to hurt that thing too. Yuki grunted as she was hit hard and backs up glaring at the digimon "Whats gotten into it!?" Jovi looks to her friends then to Hagarurumon, she then remembered Celes's abaility and turned to Drake "Drake can you have celes blind it!?" she said it quickly to Drake hoping the Hagarumon wouldn't hear her or even catch on, she was how ever standing in front of Jorris just in case the digimon decide to turn on him. |

Colin continued to whimper in Jorris's arms. He couldn't believe how powerless he was. He was sure that even as an in-training, he had taken down megas before! Though maybe that memory had been exaggerated. Still, he didn't like standing by doing nothing. "I know you have a hard time with the idea of me getting hurt, Jorris," Colin squeaked. "But right now, we need to help, however we can." Jorris looked down at his digimon and nodded. Sure, they didn't have the brawn, but they had the brain. "I have an idea. Actually, I have a few ideas, but let's try this first." Jorris put Colin down. Colin stood at the place Jorris had put him, putting his trust in his tamer. He didn't want to worry Jorris anymore. Jorris looked around his person, grasping into the coat pockets of his trench coat, looking for something useful. The he found it. He mentally scolded himself for forgetting he did bring a torch (flashlight) with him. He took it out of his pocket. A looked at it. He supposed he could throw it at Haugurmon to distract it. But that wouldn't achieve much but an even angrier Hagurumon. Then something caught Jorris's eye. Celes. "Hey Celes, Think you could use some light?" It wasn't much, but it was a start. Jorris turned the torch on, shining the light towards Celes. Maybe, just maybe, he could be useful. Jorris earned his mad genius monkier for thinking of this. Edited by Pogo, Nov 23 2011, 07:50 PM.

Celes looked at the flashlight briefly, and smiled, "Yeah! Shine it on me and I'll be able to attack with more strength!" Drake then said, "Seems like as good a plan as any. Celes! Aim for the eyes! Pyre, Steel, Hang in there and get ready for a combo counter attack!" As Pyre and Steel tried to Recover, Celes went between the two and stared right at Hagurumon, with Jorris ready to shine the light on her. She then yelled, "REFRACTION BEAM!" Her eyes seemed to light like a rainbow before shooting at Harugumon. There was no way for it to dodge fast enough, and the attack hit dead on. While the damage to it was minor if any, it did succeed in blinding the digimon. It fell backwards and seemed like it was stumbling in mid air. Pyre and Steel saw their chance and the two of them attacked in unison, lining up their attacks to intercept each other on the way. "PYRO BLASTER!" "POWER METAL!" The shots fired off, and crossed paths together. They seemed to merge together into one Blazing Metal Ball, glowing red hot. The Hagurumon didn't have any chance to dodge it, as it took the full force of the attack. The impact resulted in an Explosion that seemed to shake the entire room. Celes watched as her spotlight eyes looked through the smoke and said, "Did it work?" As the smoke cleared, the Hagurumon was falling to pieces, almost embedded in the wall from the force of the impact. It's Data then began to break down slowly. But before it disappeared, it's color turned more normal and it said in a broken mechanical voice, "Thank you..." It then vanished as it's data leaving to be reformatted back at origin village. |
