Alice hadn't been to any dimension's toy town in a very long time. The general feel of the place just seemed off. She was so used to having to fight to help digimon, that a place where digimon were free to enjoy themselves with almost no worry seemed, unfortunately, wrong. Not to mention that when she was younger, she always felt a pull to play with the miraculous toys and other weird things lying about - oh, to climb on the tyrannomon-shaped jungle gym, or to build with the 3 feet long blocks would have been fun, but she was worried what her companions would think. she knew she had to be a strong leader, whatever age she was. They never knew what would come next, and they always had to be prepared. It was Kyo, of all people, who suggested it. Though he wasn't exactly the most empathetic member of the Dark Knights, he could tell his fellow digimon were getting a bit frustrated at their new, lower-powered forms. Even Paco, who spent most of his time as a rookie-level was worried he wouldn't be able to do anything unless he could evolve into champion, at least. Kyo himself felt useless without his magical powers, though he could still preform some smaller feats of magic, just not enough to really impress. Then he realized that it really was no shame to be a rookie-level. Sure, it had been ages since he could only achieve rookie-level, but it had passed. Why shouldn't he enjoy the time to be 'young' in digimon terms. In fact, they all could enjoy themselves. All of them except Alain. He was much too proud to be seeing actually playing like a child. He had been blessed with the ability to evolve as far as perfect-level, but he still wanted more. To him, devolving was embarrassing, not a chance to blow off some steam and enjoy himself. Kyo was surprised at how easy it was to make Alice accept his invitation to join him and the rest of the gang (Rose and Paco were thrilled at the idea of going to a digimon playground, while Venom simply tagged along to make sure everything was safe). He knew she had some more childish interests (it hadn't been too long ago when he accidentally stumbled upon her collection of pokemon cards while cleaning the house), but wondered how much she'd be willing to indulge herself. He found himself exceedingly pleased that she joined the group, and tried not to think about what his joy meant. The group arrived just after noon, after having brunch at a cafe in the digital city. The trailmon ride was easy, though Alice was sure someone would recognize her, and so she put on a trench coat and top hat, despite the weather being rather warm. Though he was embarrassed, Kyo felt bad for his tamer - her ability to transform into digimon was so much of her identity once, and now it was gone. But everyone was all smiles when they reached toy town. It was better than imagined - the completely immaculate and brightly colored surroundings made you feel like a welcome guest in a large area covered with toys of all shapes and sizes, houses that were made of candy, and clouds made out of candy floss. There were large computer screens if you wanted to play video games, and jungle gyms and balls and wide fields if you wanted to play sports, and legos and blocks to build with. It took them all a moment to decide what to do. Paco was the first to come to a decision, and sped off towards a basket ball court. Kyo wondered if flying would be against the rules, but no one already at the court seemed to mind. As Kyo pondered this, Rose, his sister flew over and joined Paco. Venom looked at both Kyo and Alice before pointing at a group of digimon playing tag. "Want to join them?" |

Talas arrived at Toy Town with his two partners, Lucifer and Strike, probably about five to ten minutes after Alice and her partners did. And who would have thought it; that the guild leader of Silver Lining, would arrive at a place that was almost always completely peaceful. One filled with many vibrant colours and giant toys that many peaceful Digimon were playing with. One could say that Talas was indeed somewhat out of place here in such a peaceful place. Yet today Talas had come to Toy Town with Lucifer with whom had wanted to play with the toys here. And rightfully so, one might say, for Lucifer was the youngest of the eight Digimon partners he has had, being only a few years old compared to the rest. Lucifer was still very much a child in both mind and age. Sometimes he wished that he could let Lucifer be the child that he is supposed to be more often, rather than dragging him into the adult world like he had to two years ago. But alas, what is, is and what will be, will be he thought to himself. "We're finally came to Toy Town again!" said Lucifer in a heightened tone. It was easy to hear the delight in the young Lucemon's voice. Talas smiled at his partners enthusiasm. "It's certainly been a while hasn't it?" he said in response. "It's been ages." said Lucifer, still with his voice a pitch higher than normal as he shook a little in excitement. "So what do you want to do?" asked Talas "Hmm..." The Lucifer stopped for a moment and thought. "I think I'll go play tag with some other Digimon." "Okay. Have fun now." said Talas, resembling how a father would bring their kid to the park to play. "Hey Strike, want to join me?" asked Lucifer "What? No way!" said the Veemon, outright rejecting the proposal. "Tag is for little kids. I'm not playing that." "Aww, you're no fun!" said Lucifer, a little disappointed that Strike was not going to join him. Then he went to go over and play with the Digimon who were playing tag. "You should play with something too while we're here." said Talas "Eh?" said Strike, a bit surprised that his partner would suggest that. "But Toy Town is for little kids and mons. I am a Royal Knight, I can't be playing with little kids toys!" said Strike in response, insisting that he was too old for this. "But it's because you were a Royal Knight, that you need to take a break every once in a while." said Talas "If you don't have any fun from time to time, all the stress will get to you after a while and you won't be able to perform as well as you'd like to. Strike sighed" Alright, alright, if you insist." Strike went into Toy Town and looked for something he could play with. A former Royal Knight...playing with toys in toy town. How laughable he thought to himself. Why if any of his enemies had seen this, they would probably die of laughter. It was somewhat infuriating thinking of that. It made Strike wonder how his Tamer, despite being considered the strongest Tamer, could be so easy going and turn up at Toy Town in the first place. But he did not want to fight about something so trivial, and so after a bit of looking around, he slowly approached the basketball court, where Paco and Rose were. |

Alice had to stifle a good-hearted chuckle at Venom's sudden enthusiasm to actually play. Or at least his attempt. She had to admit, however, he still cut a very powerful figure, even as a small Gazimon. It is hard to seem regal when pointing at a group of digimon playing tag, but Venom still managed it. Kyo, now a bit more connected to Venom because of Kyo's Gabumon form, nodded, and the two went off to play tag before they realized their tamer was left behind. Alice's attention was stolen by a group of new visitors to the playground. It had been some time since she had seen him, but this time, Alice clearly remembered Talas and his digimon partners, Strike and... and... actually, she didn't have the best memory for names. It didn't really matter - what mattered is that she would have a playmate, er, companion for this outing. Deciding to greet herself in the spirit of the place, Alice began to sneak behind the benches and trees, trying to stay out of sight as she attempted to approach Talas. If she got to him without being spotted, she would surprise him with a great bear hug. When Kyo and Venom got nearer to the group of digimon playing tag, they saw they weren't the only ones attracted to the game. A Lucemon was also quickly making his way towards the group. Kyo gave him a friendly wave, while Venom wondered how they could join politely. Thankfully, one of the digimon, a small wormmon called out to the bystanders "Come join us! I'm IT!" It squeaked, lunging towards both Venom and Kyo, who quickly dodged to their respective sides. Paco and Rose had no trouble integrating themselves with the digimon already on the court. In fact, they were quickly becoming known as the star players on their teams. Almost as soon as they got to the court, Rose and Paco split up. Paco decided to go with the Blue Defenders" a rag-tag group made mostly of digimon who couldn't fly and were mostly virus or data type. Rose joined the "Red Heros" a group made heavily of vaccine types and diigmon that could fly. The flying digimon had to follow a rule to never fly above three or so feet, and so they had to take their shots from that height. Rose, in her Tsukaimon form had some trouble with scoring, but she made up for it with her agility. Paco was a great shooter, but he preferred not to expend too much energy on things like passing or dribbling. Just as the Heroes scored a goal, Paco saw a Veemon approaching. He flew up into the air and waved, or rather, swayed side to side with his left wing. "Hey, come join us." It wasn't exactly two helpful a statement, as both teams seemed to have an equal number of players. |

"Are you sure?" asked Strike in response to being invited to join, a little hesitant to join them. After all it seemed like the Digimon were having fun with their game already. "It seems you've got even teams already" he said to Paco. Even though he probably preferred to do something like this, he didn't want to just jump into a game others were playing and make things one-sided and ruin their fun. Meanwhile, Talas stood at a distance, gazing at Toy Town, with a couple of glances mainly in the direction of his two partner Digimon. The sense of being surrounded by toys reminded me of his childhood in the Digital World, what seemed like all so long ago. He wasn't really paying attention to his environment and so did not see Alice approaching him. In fact, running into somebody he knew was the furthest thing from him mind, not expecting people he knew to be hanging out here. Then suddenly he felt a tight squeeze coming from behind him, which surprised him . He hadn't expected somebody to come up behind him like that. He instinctively turned his head to behind him to see who it was who had snuck up behind him. He recognized the familar face, despite not having seen her in quite some time. "Alice!." said Talas, the surprise in his tone and face from what just happened pretty obvious "long time no see." he said, trying to be polite even though he was momentarily taken back by the bear hug. Lucifer walked over to where, Venom, Kyo and the Wormmon were. "Hey guys, could I join you in your game of tag?" he asked in a polite but somewhat enthusiastic manner. |

Paco smiled at the Veemon. He seemed very logical, and probably would help his team tactically. What tactics had to do with basketball he didn't really know, but he DID know that this digimon had a skill to greatly help whatever team he was on. He opened his mouth, but Rose was the one who answered. "Don't worry, we aren't even keeping score Just pick a team and have fun," The Tsukaimon said, before sweeping down at the ball between an defending goblimon's hands. Paco, not wanting to be outdone, also returned the game by dive-bombing at Rose. Rose was too fast however, and Paco ended up crashing and rolling on the ground. Meanwhile, Kyo had been tagged by the wormmon pretty quickly after he and Venom had joined. He was now racing after a very spry Renamon. Venom had retreated to the other side of the field, and saw the Lucemon approach. "Of course you can join," he yelled, since he was still a bit far from the lucemon. As he was distracted, Kyo ran up to Venom and tagged him. "You are it, bro," Kyo announced, and then he ran away, giggling like a maniac. Venom smiled despite becoming it. This outing really was a good idea. Still, it was a shame Alain refused to come. Oh well. More fun for them. Not that it really worked like that.... Giggling, Alice released Talas and beamed at him. For a moment, she reflected on how good it felt to have physical contact with someone, but that thought passed quickly. As she calmed down, she made a note to remember Talas' surprised face. That alone could make her chortle for awhile, and could be useful for any bad times ahead. "Sorry for sneaking up on you, but you took it well. It's so good to see you! I want to hear all about what's been happening since I've last seen you and your partners." Alice took a breath, then continued. "I've not been back here for awhile, I had to do more time abroad." She didn't clarify, instead she stared straight at Talas, waiting for any interesting stories he had. |

"Well I haven't really been up to anything exciting I'm afraid." said Talas "Just been busy with the guild lately . We're a little understaffed, so it's been a little hectic at times." Probably not the most interesting of things to talk about. However it was the truth. He had been quite busy with it, which made it hard to do anything too time consuming such as go out adventuring the digital world or something exciting like that. "Abroad?" said Talas with a curious tone in his voice, wondering what Alice meant by that." Do you travel a lot or something?" He looked at Alice while doing so, maintaining eye contact as he waited for her response. -- "Alright!" said Lucfier with a grin on his face as Digimon agreed to let him play. However, after he saw Kyo tagged Venom, he began to run away from him. After all, he was just going to stand there and let himself get tagged. ---- "Well in that case then, I'll join you guys." said the Veemon. "Which team can I be on?" he asked politely. Even though he figured it wouldn't really matter which team he was on, as the side he was on would have more, he still figured it was better to let them decide which team he was on. It was their game after all. |

Alice nodded as Talas spoke. Running a guild must have been difficult, or at least, a lot of work. She was happy Talas now had the mantle of "most powerful tamer" - it really took a great weight off of her. And with her now sedentary lifestyle, any weight off would be good. "With all that going on, I'm glad you got a small break to come here. As for me, well, I've recently been going around to different countries to work on their relations with the digital world. I've also been taking college courses so I can catch up on my educated. Everything's still very disjointed though." Alice locked her eyes with Talas'. "I still haven't learned any forgien language very well, I admit." Venom shook himself off, then began to look for a new target. y now, both Kyo and the Lucemon were too far off. But a kamemon ran by. He bounded after the turtle digimon. As Kyo ran, he yelled out to the lucemon "So, what brought you here?" As Paco got up from the ground, he realized he needed to act fast. He turned to Veemon. "Join us, we're the blue defenders. Now, we need to get that ball away from them!" He pushed himself off the ground and flew towards Rose, who was about to shoot for the hoop. |

"Ahh I see." said Talas, listening in to what Alice had said. "Sounds like you've been pretty busy too. I imagine it would be pretty hard to keep up with a college course while travelling around to various other places. Must be quite the interesting experience to get to travel a lot though." -- "Not much." responded Lucifer as he ran around "It's been so long since I got to play here, so I figured I'd come with my Tamer." -- "Okay.." said Strike, as he joined Paco's team in the game in the basketball. He ran up to Rose and tried to block her.Though Strike couldn't fly, he was pretty fast on two legs. |

Alice remained silent for a moment. She wasn't having as much trouble with the courses as she suspected she would, but maybe that was because she was used to them. Piedmon had once jokingly suggested she got her good grades from her looks or fame instead of hard work. He was chewed by Venom for that remark. "It's not too bad. the biggest issue is adjusting to working with other people and not having to fight all the time. I sort of feel like an amazon being brought into modern society." She knew she was speaking with a bit of pride, but she felt she earned it today. "I did love travelling though. I missed out on so much of this world. Hey... odd question, but what else are you planning for your guild? I remember visiting it once. At least, I think it was your guild." Meanwhile, Kyo easily outran Venom. Venom was still bounding after the kamemon, but was no sooner to catching it. Kyo took a moment to catch his breath. "Really? that's nice. Wait, you've been here before? It's our first time." Kyo had to wonder why, in all their years of being in this dimension, they had never visited toytown, except to protect it from any baddies. Then he remembered Alain's reaction to the outing. On the other side of the park, Rose was about to score, when the newcomer put her off balance, and she lost the ball. A lopmon from the blue team got it, and continued to the red team's goal. "Good job," Paco said as he flew by. Rose stared at Strike, then giggled as the game continued. |

When Alice mentioned the guild, Talas raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised that she was asking about the guild. It was pretty rare for somebody to actually ask about it when outside of the guild like this. Usually he doesn't get a lot of people asking on the spot like this. Even though he had been surprised by Alice's sudden somewhat sudden interest in the guild, he Talas' demeanour still seemed calm, as per usual. "Yeah I remember you visited it some time ago." said Talas, being able to recall the time that Alice visited, while she was considering joining a guild. "My aim for making a guild was that by bringing enough Tamers together as part of the guilds, then we'll be able to prevent more evil Tamers and Digimon. I would like to make sure that nothing like Khale ever happens again, though it's truly hard to stop the corrupt from existing, because it seems Digimon or humans always have another reason to do something corrupt. Even I don't have a plan that could change that." explained Talas -- "Sometimes, when I got the time I like to come here and play, when my Tamer has got enough time to bring me here." said Lucifer -- "Thanks" said Strike in response as he continued to play the game. Although he was still a little reluctant to be playing in Toy Town, which he felt was childish. But he was starting to warm up to the idea. Just a little. |
