This tut isnt made by me its copied. Step 1. Make a new image. You may make it any size. I will be using 350x110 pixels, my favorite size for signatures. However, you do not have to do this tutorial for signatures, it will work for other images such as wallpapers. Once you have done this, fill the image with black by setting the foreground color to black and clicking the image with the Paint Bucket Tool. ![]() Step 2. Load your brushes. To load your brushes, click the following buttons shown in the images below. ![]() ![]() Now change the foreground color to white. To do this, press “x” on your keyboard. ![]() Step 3. Brush the image until you are satisfied with the outcome. If it is too white, create a new layer and brush with black. You can go back and forth brushing with black and white until you are satisfied. Make sure you use many brushes and not just one or two throughout the whole image. ![]() Step 4. Give your signature color. I will do this with two color balances. To do a color balance, click this button and select color balance. ![]() ![]() I used the following settings for the two color balances. Highlights: 50 0 -50 Midtones: 50 0 -50 Shadows: 50 0 -50 Add some clouds. Filter>Render>Clouds Highlights: -50 0 0 Midtones: -50 0 50 Shadows: -60 0 -50 For different colors, experiment with different color balance settings. Also, you may do Filter>Render>Clouds on the last color balance if you like. I thought the last color balance looked better without clouds in this particular example, so I did not use them. Step 5. Apply text to your image. For good fonts I go to dafont.com. My main font is called Base 4 and my pixel font is called Visitor, which can both be found at dafont.com ![]() Step 6 (Optional). If you want to add an image, this step will show you my favorite blending method. First paste the image you want to use under the color balance layers and desaturate it by pressing Control+Shift+you. ![]() Now, select the polygonal lasso tool. ![]() Set the feather to 20-30 pixels. ![]() Make a selection around your image. ![]() Click this button to add a layer mask and your image will be blended. ![]() Step 7. Add anything else you need such as a border. There are border tutorials on this site also if you want to use one of them. Here is my final result.
