1. Ok, start out with a canvas that is 100 pixels larger in Height than normal. I am Using 500x300.

2. Then, use the magic eraser and click the background. it should have a bunch of grey and white squares.

3. Ok, now, start a new project. Paste the pic you want in it. Use the Magnetic Lasso and go around the edges. its alright if you get some of the BG for that pic in there too. now, copy the pic in the Magnetic Lasso and go back to your 1st document.

4. Paste the document you just cut onto the first document. you should now have a picture surrounded by little squares.

5. Take your eraser and then take away all the BG still on the picture you pasted.

6. Then, take the rectangular marquee and copy that pic again. now, make ANOTHER rectangular Marquee that is smaller than the whole Document where you want the BG. Color it, use brushes, and text and whatever else you want.

7. Then, paste the pic in again. You should now have the pic with the BG BEHIND IT! if the BG is in front, move the layer in front of it. Save it, and there you go! pop out picture!
