Tutorial Name: Slay's Full Signature 2 Tutorial Description: Just a quick tutorial on how to make a full signature Program: Adobe Photoshop 7+ Tutorial: In this tutorial I willl show you how to make a signature like this one. ![]() 1) Open a new canvas whatever size you like. (I used 350x120) ![]() 2) Open your render 3) Place it in your canvas and resize it to your likings ![]() 4) (Void this step if you have a small render) Crop the box to cut off the extra render 5) Duplicate your render layer 3 times (Ctrl+J 3 times) and hide all of them except the bottom 6) Use the liquify tool on the the visible render layer and fill most of the background ![]() 7) Repeat step 6 on the next render layer up and set the layer mode to Screen ![]() 8) Unhide the next render layer and liquify it, this time don't go as far as you did with the other render layers ![]() 9) Unhide the last render layer and if its darker then the background add a brightness / contract layer and adjust it to match the background more. (Vice-versa if its light) *Hint* To make the render brighter and only the render Ctrl+Click on the render layer to select only the render Before: ![]() After: ![]() The settings I used are (+44 / +8). If you did this step merge the brightness / contrast layer down with the render 10) Open up a few c4d's to match the signature so far and put them in it add some effects. Try to keep them going in the same direction give it a bit of a flow. Set the layer to Screen and erase parts you don't like ![]() 11) Add a Black and White Gradient layer adjustment and set it on multiply, lower the opacity to 50% ![]() 12) New Layer > Apply Image (Ctrl+Shift+alt+E) 13) Filter > Distort > Ripple (300-340 / Medium) Set the layer to lighten. Lower the opacity to 50% and erase parts around the focal point of the signature, usually the face ![]() 14) New Layer > Apply Image (Ctrl+Shift+alt+E) 15) Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter (11 / 7) Set the layer to lighten. Lower the opacity to 50% and erase parts around the focal point of the signature, usually the face ![]() 16) Apply another black and white gradient layer adjustment, set the layer to Multiply and the Opacity to roughly 75% ![]() 17) Set your foreground to black and your background to a color of your choice. Apply another gradient map layer adjustment and set it to Screen ![]() 18) Add a Brightness / Contrast layer adjustment and darken the image a bit. (I used -31 / +18) ![]() 19) New Layer > Select the gradient tool with these settings (Foreground - white / Omni / White to invisible) 20) Put a gradient over the render to give it some lighting and lower the Opacity until it looks good (I lowered mine to 52%) ![]() 21) Add a color balance layer to give it some color (Note: May have to go back to gradient in step 20 and adjust lighting more) ![]() 22) New Layer > Apply Image > Filter > Blur > Guassian Blur > 2.0 and set the layer to lighten and lower the Opacity to 80% ![]() 23) New Layer > Apply Image > Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen and erase the background and some of the render, only leaving the focal point sharpened ![]() 25) New Layer > Ctrl+A > (reset brushes - D) > Edit > Stroke > 1 And thats a simple border, you should be able to figure out the text but keep in mind to make it match the color scheme of the signature and go with the flow of it ![]() Tutorial is copyrighted to Slay of A Knight's Tales If you use this tutorial please post results and also you can repost it as long as you give credit back to me! |
