Silence hadn't expected Saphira to charge at her with such speed, but she accepted the movement, feeling her lightsaber flying from her grip and anticipating the next move. Her eyes followed her saber, her mind followed Saphira. She felt the twitch of her muscles as she prepared to kick her. She felt the kick connect.

She saw the hilt of the coming toward her, but she dodged it, rolling with the kick to her thigh into the sand, and coming up a couple meters from her lightsaber. As she rolled, she called it back to her, it falling into her hand as she stood.

Saphira smiled, coylike in the blazing sun. Her red skin gleamed like a ruby as she leapt up and back waitiing for Silence to make the next move.

"Let's see wha you got.."

Silence return Saphira's smile with a bored expression.

"Jedi do not attack. They defend." She grinned. "However, I am no ordinary Jedi."

She replicated the same trick Saphira has used with the sand, only instead of creating a storm with it, she used it as a whip, throwing it out at Saphira, and charging from the other side. Her lightsaber came up in an overhead slash, but at the last possible second she stopped abruptly, and pulled the blade into a horizontal slash at Saphira's waist.

She was so close to the woman, that to Silence's eye, it would be rather difficult to dodge.

The storm was clever, saphira had to admit that. And with silence so near she couldn't dodge both attacks. However, she had a plan. As she had to form both attacks saphira brought up her own. Pulling the sand up and around like a bubble she spun it around to creat her own wall. Barly visible as both the whip and silence came at her. Gathering her rage she pushed out into a explosion of force waves. The sand now small darts shot out in all direction with the wave. It nuterlized the force whip long enough to mark it a harmless rain. Yet she leapt up and back a few meters from where the attack went.

'Easy.

She thought, as the wave would also knock silence back and down being bombarded with the small sand darts. Standing she reached out and created a small pouch of the force surroundng her in all angels of a couple meters and whirled the air and heat around her to cut off the flow of air. A vortex if you will.

"Then handel that.."

Silence slid back with the force wave, allowing her body to be flipped and carried with it. With cat like grace she landed on her feet, and stood, grinning in the storm of sand darts. They stung softly as they collided with her body, but she stood firm, absorbing the pain and releasing it. Not that it was much pain to begin with.

"Woman, have you not yet learned that this sand is only an advantage to me and not a weakness? I lived in these very deserts for most of my life. Any sand attack you through at me is useless." She smiled darkly, drifting deeper into her own darkness. "To it I am immune, twi-lek."

She drew the Force into her body with vicious strength creating a rush of wind and sand. The air around her crackled with dark energy, her sapphire eyes darkened into black holes, and her skin shone with a visible sapphire aura. The wind whipped her cascading hair back, and she tightened her grip on her lightsaber just slightly. She walked forward, the sand kicking up in a small whirlwind at her feet, a dark shadow on her face.

"Strike, Striker. See what becomes of it." As she spoke she fell deeper into her darkness, her aura deepening to a dark light around her. It was a frightening sight to see, and the various Tattooine folk that had gathered began to back away in fear. Yet even as she surrounded herself in darkness, the light within Silence never faltered. It stayed, a small jewel within her soul, fractured by the darkness, but a light nonetheless.

"Strike me, Saphira. See what I am truly made of."

[[Sorry, the topic never came up as "New Posts," so I havn't checked back in a while.]]

Raduk could sense, after he had landed beside Silence, his sword in both hands, that she did not want his protection. He would let her alone in the battle, help if he needed, but he would not fight it for her. Her concerns were more important to him than anything, so he would do what he must to dispel them. He had watched this whole time, how she had accepted the sand attacks, made a few of their own. But that saying, "Fight fire with fire," never really applies, does it? Sand against sand will do naught. Water against water... still, one would never prevail over the other.

But now, water against fire. Pure darkness against semi-darkness. But Silence could not let herself be consumed. Raduk understood that she still kept that small light glowing within her as her entire being was flooded with the dark energy, but she was still in grave danger of falling completely in, intoxicating herself. It would break Raduk's heart to see that, for he could not be with her if that happened. Although Lord Valec would most definitely approve...

Raduk had to help. He reached through their connection, him and Silence, grabbing at the darkness, his hands sifting through the cold gases and liquids, unable to pull any out with the bare palm. He had to try to quench the darkness, not entirely, but lesson its hold. But there was no way. That meant, he had to let the Light consume himself now, for it was just as holding. He let it flow through, magically, his whole mind clouded, weak, opposite of the dark side. He had to balance, for like he had said on Kamino, Balance was the key.

With a snapping hiss the crimson blade of his sabre ignited, and Vexas came forward. The sand strewn winds of Tatooine whipped the darkened folds of his cloak as he brough the red blade down. Tip scorching the sand, and leaving a thin trail of glass in his wake as he moved forward, towards the boy. The light, did not, could not bother the Echani swordsman. As his eyes lay covered by the bloodstained cloth band. A smile appeared, small and mocking on his face as he seemed to float accross the dunes. His every muscle working in perfect harmony, a clear warning that this man had lived a life of near constant preperation for battle.

His hood caught air, ripping back and letting his long silver hair whip free. Beneathe that tattered cloak, lay soft black breaches and tunic. The visible area of muscle, rippled beneathe tawny skin. The corded sinew sounding another clear warning, for it was not bulk, rather the finely toned build of a swordsman. The grip on his saber shifted, tightening, ever cautious and ever balanced. Just like the man who held it, balanced on the razor edge of control.

"Why do you spoil such beauty with your bothesome meddling? Fool boy, you bring shame to our honored master. What would the Dark God say, should it come to his attention that you aided this woman in battle, against my master? Did he not proclaim to love Saphira, on faraway Naboo? Is this your choice then, honored apprentace of Valec. you side with her, with a Jedi? Over the woman your master? The very same master who you have pledged such loyalty, who would claim to be the most devoted of the Dark God's servants..." he said calmly, his rich baritone voice dripping with false sensibillities, mocking and chiding all the while. "That I cannot allow, the clash of blades and the dance of the wielders of those blades are the only true thing of beauty in the universe. Should you, in your bothersom meddling, bring shame to that dance. Then you shall be punished..." he said, the hidden malice in his voice did nothing to rob the chill of those words.

He turned then, fixing the boy with what would have amounted to a hard stare, had that bloodied strip of cloth not obscured his vision. Everything about him screamed grace, effortless quick movements that were his hallmark. The almost physical pressence, the aura of strength and unshakable confidence that he exuded so easily. An unerving confidence, for it wasnt the brash confidence of an overly exhuberant youngster, a novice to the blade. No this was Echani confidence, cold and complete confidence in his abillities that would lead him to feel no fear even as he stalked and spoke to this boy. Vexas' narrow features and slight build were apparent as an illusion at this distance, ever corded muscle was honed too peak fighting form. And the grace, that god awful grace that his ever move screaemed, made it even worse.

Silence had just about had it with the interruptions. She turned to Saphira's apprentice and fixed him with a glare.

"Look, little twerp, nobody invited you or him to this fight okay? Stay out of our business, please. And as far as Raduk's loyalty is concerned, keep your little unknowing mouth shut. Jedi I may be called, but I am by far no simple Jedi. I'm the only friend you have in that department, I'm the one who's going to help keep you alive, swordsman. So stand there and shut up, or step out. Your little master and I were sparring, damn it." She looked back at Saphira, her dark visage darkening continuously.

(Dude, Vexas, I wanna learn how to fight like you. So maybe, you could help me out there? I'd appreciate it, lol. But for real, I could use the help. I'm inventive as you've no doubt realized, but I know nothing about fighting for real.)

"Loyalties are so fickle in the end." he said, as his unseeing eyes turned as if regarding the woman. "I care nothing for friends or anything other than what will help me to realize the limits of myself. By all means, my good complicated Jedi, do continue with no fear of interuption from myself. The struggle that accompanies two fighters is all that I find beautiful in this world." he replied as his lips drew up into a small smile.

"Your on the cusp of finding the truth through battle, as we Echani do. However, as long as you are able to hear my words then you will never find true mastery. This battle is meaningless otherwise. Before you can ever claim to master your sword, master yourself. When you engage my master, Lady Saphirea, then let the universe fade. See only her, but delve beyond the surface. It isnt enough to simply see the motion of her sword, you have to feel it on another level. A fight between two masters of the blade, is said to begin and end in the blink of an eye. This is untrue, the actual victory is determined in the first glance. One who is in complete mastery and harmony with oneself, can tell by a glance the outcome of a battle. Focus honored Jedi, put me from your mind, and determine the truth of combat for yourself. Darkness and Light become blurred in the soul of a true warrior, and once you set your feet upon the Sublime Path, and master your self. Then they can never hold sway over you again." replied the Echani quietly.

OOC: Sure, I love imparting wisdom in the martial arts. They are my hobby and my passion, and they always make an appearance in every character I play, not matter what the RPG may be.

The appearence of her apprentice wasn't such a suprise. He merly was there to kep things at an even hand with raduk.Yet if she signled he would attack. Saphira chuckled, low at first and then erupted into a full out laugh. Yes this was a true day to fight in the hot sands and cross blades.

As quickly as she started the laughter stop.Saphira sneared, as she clipped her saber to her belt. "Strike? Let us Strike like this!" she keened as she brought her hands forward, letting anger stir in her proud heart as she unleashed it in twin bolts of jagged lightning from her finger tips. Each bolt, crackling blue fury, forked multiple times, as though she meant to consume her opponent from every angle... In one awesome display of fury through the force. Most of those lightning bolts would never hit their target, grounding harmlessly in the sand around her.
But the towering inferno that was her fury, would not, could not be abated unless her judgement were to rain upon this solitary Jedi female with all the fury of a raging tempest.

Silence both felt and saw the lightning coming. However she didn't life her sword, nor did she draw on the Force to block it. She simply turned her back on it, wanting to feel the pain. The lightning wrapped around her in all its fury and the pain that ignited her body was beyond agony. Nothing could describe its fury, but even as she held the pain close she let it go and allowed herself to become immersed in the battle itself. Vexas was right after all, no swordsman could fight when distracted. Somewhere along the line she had forgotten that. Valec had told her the same thing back when they trained together.

The lightning continued to rip away at her, leaving dark burns on her creamy skin and melting away at her clothes. A particular point the lightning ripped away at was the place between her shoulders. The fire of the lightning tugged at each fiber in her shirt until the cloth slowly peeled away, revealing the large scar beneath it.

Etched into her creamy skin was a single word, the only remaining visible mark of her slavery:

NIKOLAS
She felt the lightning ignited it and felt the blue flame course across her skin, still not a whimper of pain escaped her lips. She stood there, lightning obliterating her body, allowing her sole scar to show. In her mind, she whispered to Saphira.

This was the last mark that man ever made upon my body and the only mark that I allowed to remain. He dug it into my skin with a dull knife, then much like the vampire you are, licked it from my skin. After he satisfied his thirst, he satisfied his lust. Three days later he was dead.

Now things were getting annoying. This women was as much as a sadist as she was.. something she didn't like. Saphira smiled and noted what was on her skin, yet didn't need to ask. It was true her scars were as deep as her own. Yet the women didn't bother to block or move as she licked her lips.
The area surrounding Silence was now a pool of glass, shapped from her previous attack. An intresting attack came to mind as the wind blew harder moving a few shards of the glass. Instantly she darkened her eyes and raised the shardsquickly. The deadly daggers flickered off light that they caught from the sun as if they were diomands. Each shard was about a foot long and siclence was compleatly surrounded as she pushed them all into her like a pincushin

Raduk watched, his whole face and body an eager form of confidence and cockiness. It was his downfall, one that he loved to embrace, yet, as he listened to the man's words, he realized they could not be his focus. His blade was. And being at a disadvantage, his blade requiring extra power to be controlled and sharp, he needed the concentration. He felt the unmistakable power of silver life-sapping energy come to his fingertips, rebounding back through his body to the hole in his hand. He watched the man, who knew obviously very much about the workings of a bladed weapon. Also, since Raduk was at the disadvantage he was in, he had to be highly skilled at his art, as this man was...

... Which meant he had to learn from him, at a peer-to-peer level, of course. He would not let this chance escape him. He let his sword drop from his hand into the other, now hanging dully, its tip submersed a few inches in the sand. Its blade was glass-like in the sand, refracting the yellow light, making it brighter than the surroundings. It made it look like a lightsaber.

"I see you know your way around a blade. Very good. I am glad you have joined us. About this whole thing- Silence and I, my Master knows about us. Next time, try to keep your facts straight, knowing all before assuming too much. Intuition is always good, but can screw you over well if not harnessed correctly."

He looked at the man, knowing that Raduk's age and inexperience would look humiliating, alienating, and Raduk normally would have been proud to humiliate this man in front of his Master. But that's not what he meant. He, strangely, actually wanted to help this man become a better, well-knowing Sith. Now it was time to talk privately. Making no gestures with his body, his sword especially, and keeping the growing feeling of his power contained within his body, he spoke through the force to him.

"You know much about the art of the blade. I wish to learn much. Having a blade as mine, with no added ability of the easy cutting action of a saber, and the extra ability to harness it, need to have the extra advantage of knowing its proper uses to the fullest extent. Let my friend and your Master have their duel. Train me. I need to know these things. For the Sith."

He looked the man straight in the eye, his own silver hair matching the waves of the man he needed to learn so much from. His green eyes were somewhat sinister, yet he wished no ill-harm to the man. All he needed was training. The training of an Echani Blademaster would sure help his quest for obsolete military power.

[[I could also use some swords training. If you wouldn't mind. Got MSN?]]

Vexas turned back to regard him, a smile playing about his lips. The battle had reached fervor pitch, both combatants were now fighting with everything they had. Their was no need for his pressence any longer. He heard the voice of the young man in his mind. He knew Raduk, knew he was Valec's apprentace, and took a quick moment to ponder the request. The decision, was simple really. His cloth covered eyes seemed to somehow see the young man, see the blade upon the ground as he pondered the young man's words.

That stance, this one was confident and brash. The mind could be read through the set of a stance or facial expression, and using the force to see their was little that could escape his gaze. "Your showing restraint, the tension of your muscles, the look in your eye earlier suggested that you wanted to crush me, to put me in my place." he thought back simply. "Yet that is good, restraint shows control. And to truly wield a sword as though it were an extension of yourself means that you must first learn to wield yourself. You and I, we are weapons Raduk. The last of a dying breed who would rather feel the weight of a true blade, a true sword in our hand." he added as he allowed a rare grin. "If you wish to learn then I will gladly teach. Though my swordplay is in the tradition of my people mainly." he added.

OOC: Vexas_Saix#hotmail.com, thats my MSN. And sure, no problem. The type of swordplay will really depend on your sword though. Is it a straight blade longsword, a single edged curved blade, a broadsword, or some other type of blade? Each has a different style to use, though ive Rped with them all at some point. So we can begin whenever you like.

[[It's a Katana. Two sided though. Should we start another thread, on...]]

"I understand. I am ready to learn how to wield myself, not my blade. I am ready to completely understand your ways... the ways of your people. I was not attuned to blades at first. My blade... it found me, on Illum. Deep within the snow, it called to me, I spent days digging with my bare hands, getting much frostbite, to acquire it, unknowing it was a sword. I guess I was meant to be one of the dieing breed. Now... these two will be fine. They are matched, as far as I'm concerned, this does not have anything to do with us, too. Where would you like to journey to? I am willing to go any place. Whatever serves your purpose."

He flicked his sword out of the ground, it flipped through the air, but still he stood looking at Vexas, and caught it as he felt its presence draw near. He dropped it into his sheath on his back, and started walking towards Vexas, steadily, his arms behind his head confidently.
