OOC: no force powers. if you wanna have obstacles like stacked boxes you jump onto, just describe them when you see them. Ryada opened the door to the arena, picked up his lightsaber from a table, activated it, and looked at the door opposite him, ignoring the great shrieking crowds in the circular arena, he was one, he only saw the goal. The door opened and... |

The door opened slowly, and from inside the assassin stepped out. He wore loose black breaches, and a black sleeveless Gi, tied securely at the waste by his obi belt. The single saber hung from its place. None of his other fantastically dangerous weapons adorned him at the moment, only the single silver lightsaber hilt. His gray eyes locked onto the Jedi Master, the fanatical desire for perfection burning in them. Ryada had ceased to be a Jedi, or even a living breathing human in the assassin's mind, he was just another obstacle to be removed. His soft boots made no noise as he stalked forward, his every motion exuding the incredible grace of his heritage, and the countless hours of training that made the Echani so deadly. His hand removed the saber from his belt, and with a snapping hiss the crimson meter length bar of energy cracked into view. He held it up, for a moment, before letting it drop to his right side, at the ready. "Come and die." He said quietly, his muscles practically quivering beneathe his skin. As he lowered himself into a perfectly balanced stance, right foot slightly forward, left slightly back. His knees flexed, lowering him ever so slightly, and evenly distributing his weight, so he could move any direction as quickly as possible. |

Ryada charged forwards with all his might, muscles flexing, heart pounding, he leapt into the air above Vexas, too far to be reach where he was, he rotated in the air, landing facing Vexas' back, slashing from Vexas' left shoulder down to his right knee. |

Vexas didn't even bat an eye as he leapt, the position of saber in his hands meant it wasnt for an aerial strike. It was ridiculous really, attempting such a move without using the force to aid him, Vexas moved foward a step, thrusting upwards from his classic ready stance, attempting to sear him along the spine, from kidney to shoulder blades. That move, such acrobatic nonsense, he had no real data on the lightsaber style of this particular opponent, however after seeing that move he would place him as an Ataru user. Ataru, with its ridiculous leaping and flipping, wasting precious time and energy when the simple effect was so much easier. True, Vexas himself was a master of his own variant of Juyo, the only real difference being his use of his hand to hand combat and the unique way he used his double saber. And it was also true that Juyo used a form of acrobatics as well, though this was in Vexas' case simply a way to build the terrifying momentum and fluidity he was known for. The frictionless blade of the lightsaber wouldn't have snagged even had he sliced the man in midleap, however Vexas was no longer paying attention to the thrust, having spun on his heel to face the oncomming attack with his calm stoicism. The precision of his movements seemed so eerie as his crimson blade flicked foward and under the descending blade like the tongue of a Garollian Ghost Viper. He lifted, using that slight pause as time to quickly shuffel step straight backwards, his quick and short steps keeping him in pefect balance. Then he reversed his direction, as the blade passed harmlessly by, the Echani allowing it to miss by inches. Then with only a slight reversal of the wrist his parry became a lightning fast thrust at his opponents chest, as he lunged forward in a classic thrusting lunge, his balance carefully maintained, his feet placed to allow him to retract just as quickly should his opponent keep that blade from burning a hole through his heart. |

OOC: well that was stupid of me. Ryada pivoted on his right foot, leaning back slightly, the blade seared by, slashing his left arm, that lagged behind his body, barely drawing blood. his right hand darted up, and his saber activated, the blade rested just in front of Vexas' adams apple, he flicked his wrist and the blade covered that inch in less than a 1/6 of a second... |

OOC: See the problem with using one of my own attacks against me, is that usually you lack the position I was in when I used the attack in the first place. Take this attack for instance, the thrust upwards was only half the post, if you look closely at the third paragraph, you will see that their was a second attack, hidden within the post. Should you wish to use the post you just made, you would be dead before your saber was in position. Misdirection is the key in many of these battles friend. And lastly, the reason the move you just tried to use on my worked against Blase, was not because Vexas was simply fast, but because of the position he put me in. Paying close attention to the actual post that killed him will reveal that the saber in my hand only traveled about 6 inches, while you are having to bring your saber from the finishing position of your downward slash, meaning that your having to raise your saber, a distance that is measure in feet, not inches. So 1/6th of a second is a little on the impossible side, compounded with the fact that I specifically mentioned in the post I used that particular move to kill Blase, that I had to rely on the force to guide the move, enabling him to move faster. So, 3 problems... 1. The fact that you would be dead before you ever even moved the saber, a blade thrust through the heart tends to do this. 2. Your timing is way off in that attack. 3. I never show an attack in RP that might be used against me with some degree of sucess. So please edit, to maintain the flow and reality of the Rp. |

OOC: your right. I was saying 1/6 for flicking the wrist not moving the arm. You said that that attack in the middle didn't hit me, right? and you can't do a compund attack like that. Ryada rotated his wrist to the left 90 degrees, batting the saber out of the way, he stepped right as he slashed up and right going through vexas arm, his pit, and his neck. |

If Vexas lost his calm as his saber was knocked aside, it never showed. Without so much as a widening of the eyes he retracted his parried thrust, and flicked his wrist as he stabbed downward, once again thrusting his blade beneathe Ryada's. The blades met in a shower of sparks, as he calmly used the angle of his own blade to alter the path of Ryada's saber, while he stepped to the side, his unshakable confidence never wavering. He was playing with the Jedi his movements precise, and having turning aside Ryada's attacks thus far with subtle parries and deft manuevers. He was using his own natural grace and Echani reflexes in conjunction with his deft manuevers to treat Ryada as though he were casually instructing a child, seeming to barely have to move at all, while Ryada expended many times the energy trying to hack and slice. Then he stepped back, keeping his defensive posture perfectly balanced, even as he flicked his blade forward again, in a thrust aimed at the Jedi's left shoulder. An almost casual attack, all speed rather than strength. Quick as a viper striking, yet with an almost effortless grace and casual precision. "Master Mapor you dissapoint me. I had expected much better from a Jedi Master..." He said as he remained in his loose stance, his seemingly casual posture keeping him carefully in perfect balance. "Come now, I killed one of your breathren on Tatooine, the young man with the many possesions. On Kamino I almost took your beloved Grand Master's arm, and it is I who am in charge of gathering the information that the Sith use to hunt you and your friends down. In short, I am your worst enemy. Put me out of my misery, and save your fellow Jedi... If you can..." The Sith Lord said as his lips barely curved into a cruel grin. |
