Diwan an Imperial and Sith walked the streets of Coruscant. Patrolling the planet city for any spies or infiltrators. None had appeared yet, but she felt she would find one tonight.

She walked through a dark and desered ally and heard quiet voices speaking on the other side of a fence. Then one set of steps walked away from her, the other closer.

She felt the Force of both people, one much akin to her. The other almost unsullied by any darkness. This person was on who she was sent to look for, a Jadi.

Diwan saw the gate leading into the yard, not far in front of her and walked over to it. She then leaned against the fence, waiting for the Jedi to come out.

She would try to capture him or her, but if that failed, then she would fight him. Both her sabers were clipped to either side of her waist and her blaster to her hip.

The night had the usual flutter of people and traffic above. Cyris walks into the plaza after tending to some errands. He finds a shortcut to the spaceport by taking the alleyways of the space city.

He passed very few people as he made his way through the darkness of night. The occasional cool breeze filled the alleyway into an open field. As he made his way past the fence, Cyris sensed someone nearby. Looking around, he found the person.

Turning his head, he could make an outline of a person standing. Who it was he couldn't tell. He walked closer as he closed the gap of distance. All he knew for sure was this person wasn't a Jedi. So much for shortcuts he thought to himself.

He stops in his tracks, approximatey 30 yds from the stranger. He was in no fear and had no willingness to fight unless the need arises. Somehow, he felt it would come true.

Diwan got off the fence she was leaning against when a new person appeared out of the darkness. This one had almost snuck up on her so focused on the one on the other side of the fence.

She rested the palm of her hand on her blaster, the other on one of her saber hilts. She got the feeling off this man standing nearby that he was also Jedi.

The more Jedi, the more heads for her to capture.

Diwan closed the distance between them and at about ten feet away, broke the silence.

"What an odd place to find a Jedi. At the heart of the Empire."

Cyris watches as the stranger walks closer. Watching her putting her hand on her blaster and what appears to be a saber hilt, he was a little amazed to hear a female voice.

"I'll say it's odd to find a female out here alone at night. Who are you? I sense you are not a Jedi."

His voice was not demanding but rather curious as to who she was.

Diwan continuted to walk closer. When she was close enough to see him clearly, she stopped fully. They stood about five apart. He was wearing a cloak, one that coule be worn by a Sith, but she feeling she got was this man was not a Sith. He had too much Light eminating.

She shook her head at his question.

"It is not your place to question me, Jedi.
You who are on an Imperial controlled planet.
Where you have no right to be."

Her voice was low, but emotionless to his ears.

"Come with me or face the wrath of the Empire."

She kept her hands on both her blaster and saber. If he was a Jedi, then the blaster wouldn't do her much good.

Cyris is not intimidated by her words as she walks up closer to him. After all, it was standard Imperial procedures to ask questions. This was something he was used to especially coming to this planet.

"I guess it would appear your security is somewhat lacking, would you say?"

He puts his hands on his hips that causes his tunic to reveal his sabers.

"My name is Cyris and my business here is my own. If you have a problem with that, then perhaps you should deal with it."

Diwan saw the move Cyris made to reveal his own two saber hilts.

"It is unwise to show me those.
I could easily call down the Empire here to take you in. I will do it myself instead."

She didn't say her name or rank, nor did she intend to reveal that to him. Though in the dim light, there was a chance he could make it out from her uniform.

"Last chance, surrender to me. Come with me to the Temple and I'll go easy on you."

Cyris let out a smirk. Then a faint laughter. He often wondered about these Imperial types.

"If you call for backup, I'll just take off. But something tells me that you won't let that happen."

He puts down his arms to his side. If need be he could unleash his saber hilts at his command.

"I see you also have sabers. Perhaps you would like to put them to use?"

He stands in the half dim light.

"What's it going to be, Imperial?"

Diwan simpley nodded and took off one of her sabers. She doesn't ignite it however, waiting to see what Cyris was going to.

"If that's the way want, then so be it."

She held the saber in her right hand. Diwan also had a trick or two up her sleeve that she could use again him. Though right now, they would remain hidden.

"Or should I call you Sith? Always eager to get into a fight."

He shakes his head as he takes off his robe and lays it onto the ground. He grabs one of his sabers, also not igniting it but gets ready in his Form III stance.

"I suppose you like doing it the hard way." He said half jokingly but said more for intimidation. "Or maybe I should go soft on you."

"Do whatever you wish, Jedi. I will not go soft on you. Nor am Sith."

Diwan still thought of herself more as an Imperial officer, even though she did have some training in the Force. Much of what she learned at the Jedi Academy had returned to from the depths of her memory.

She ignited the single crimson blade she held in her hand. Her eyes narrowed at the Jedi in front of her.

"Make your move."

Cyris gives a slight chuckle as she ignites her blade.

"I wish not to fight you but I can tell you have something else in mind."

His saber ignites, showing off the bluish laser color. Cyris continues to stand preparing for his form.

"If it's a move you want then you'll have to go first. Think of it as "if you want it then bring it"."

Diwan shook her head and pursed her lips tightly together. The hand not holding her saber bunched into a fist. Her eyes flitted to the fence behind Cyris and one of the planks flew off.

In her first move, she tried to hit him upside the head with this plank.

Cyris looks at her. It was not his intention to fight her rather it was her looking for one, or so he thought.

Suddenly he felt a slight tremor in the Force. It was subtle yet it came from her, nonetheless. He felt something would be coming behind him. Just as he turned his saber came to life and sliced the plank in half. It quickly fell to the ground with smoke around the two parts.

He turned to face her with his saber still ignited.

"A sneaky move you made. Surely you didn't think I felt that coming did you? Tell you what, step aside and let me go and we'll pretend this never even happened."

He could tell that she was getting more frustrated with the situation though he wasn't provoking it.

"Oh, no, I can't let a Jedi go. Come with me and you will get off easy."

He quickly dispatched the plank she sent at him. Revealing for sure that he was a Jedi.

"I was just waiting until you were distracted before making a move."

With that, Diwan closed the distance between them in a heartbeat and made a low slash at one of his legs. No need to kill him before she got him back to the Temple.
