The stage had been set, and the crowd roared, and as always, a part of Cinaed that bled itself into his total consciousness loved it. He casually walked out of the dark hall that led to the indoor arena. The duracrete floor below his feet seemed cold as it was hard, and he travelled upon it gracefully. It appeared as though he walked with all the time in the world, yet at the same time he moved surprisingly quick. With two magnificent looking, curved swords on his back, and a lightsaber hanging from his right hip, he appeared quite dangerous, and that was before considering his array of hidden weapons, and a deadly precise ability with the force. No step was lacking of either confidence or grace. For he was confident, but as well was he wary, cautious. Of course, Cinaed made use of different personalities -masks, if you will - in order to confuse others. Yet there was nothing behind his face, nothing but cold, calculating, precision. Both arrogance and wisdom were just tools to him, helping him to manipulate those around him, something he did unlike any other. There was never moral in his realm, no good, yet no evil. No light, yet no darkness, just the shadows of those souls he created and sold for decisive wealth. And if you looked truly and deeply into his eyes, you would see this. And if you fought deeply with his true soul, you would see this. However, more likely than not, his trademark grin, portraying all the traits of a smart, yet arrogant, and unusually charming young man, would be all you see, shielding his soul from the light. It needed no more, it only snuck out every now and then for just enough light to amuse itself. And today was like any other. His grin sat handsomely on his face as he watched, carefully, the other entrance. He knew that his opponent was one of two men, one he had never personally met, and the other had been arguably the most powerful Dark Lord of the Sith to ever live, and unlive, at that. A god, he had figured himself, and maybe he was right to do so. But if it came down to it, Cinaed would do all in his own power to show this god what it was to be mortal. |

A man that fancied himself a God felt that he deserved an entrance no less than such. And because of this, is that He descended from the skies like this… As the sunset came to a close, the dark side of the force emanated from the city below, and in the unphysical world in which He resided the bells of battle rang again. The skies above the city swirled as a hurricane, and from the eye of the storm bright rays of light began to shine. Of all colors this where, from purple and blue, to red and yellow. These colors intertwined as one, and with an explosion of power that made the earth below rumble, a thunder was heard. The clouds came together and the whistling of the winds from the four points of the map came to be, silencing the mass of people below who had come to see the battle of this unreal tournament. As the gates of the netherworld opened once again for the Lord to step through, a white voice was heard behind him, and for a split of a second he turned his head towards the voice, his reply to it was inaudible for the crowd below, even for his opponent whom the Lord knew was none other than an Echani by the name of Cinaed, this one had been trained by Vexas himself, the friend and “killer” of the Lord. That piece of data in itself brought much expectation on the battle field below, and the Lord knew that he would put Cinaeds lessons to the test. As the vortex of the force stopped expanding, the Lord saw fit to utilize the same force that had dragged him to his cell to form a ring of crystallized force around the edge of the vortex, like that the gateway to hell would maintain its state for as long as he desired. Looking down from the heavens he let go of frame of his jail and began to fall head first towards the middle of the coliseum. The closer he came the faster he moved and just when it looked like he was going to crash against the floor below he came to a brisk stop just feet from the floor. His hair had covered his face at the stop, yet his body moved on his axis and came to be straight once again. Very slowly he moved down and very gently he touched the ground. The moment his feet were well planted on the ground he looked up at his opponent and smiled, a small noise he made, ”Hmm..” Then he unleashed hell. The dust and loose objects on the arena and from the crowd behind him flew from their places and headed straight for the Echani, random things ranging from blasters and cups, to comlinks and swords, they all had one single trajectory and that was Cinaed. It seemed that the Lord had returned with a sense of humor some would say, but others would know that even the smallest of things can be as dangerous as a lightsaber. |

And no less could be expected from the Dark Lord. Cinaed took minimal time to marvel about Valec's spectacular entry. And the humm was so subtle, and so neutral, yet Cinaed could hear the danger behind every vocal fold in Valec's throat. They resonated with the Force. Such power was certainly worth legend, to be told in tales and to be sung by bards and minstrels. Yet the listeners of those tales and those songs would never experience what Cinaed was about to. By the end of this battle, Cinaed will have crossed blades with a God. And so the moment came, and the Dark Lords opening attack was a sudden barrage of superb ability. However, Cinaed was not without superb ability of his own. With a blink, was unlocked his Kontoueiseki, the eye that is known in legend to see all. And so, with a legend of his own, he set to work. He felt the force twist at Valec's command, with such ease, it was truly amazing. Cinaed moved in, sparking with electricity as he began to accumulate electrical energy about himself, something he did so easily now, it was like a second nature. But it would not be ready in time, and so, with a leap, he weaved his body around an undefinable collection of items. Cinaed's Kontoueiseki registered every motion, every trajectory route. Mathematically, he could map out where every item was headed. Grabbing the lightsaber from his right hip, a swift flick of the wrist batted away another item. He was closing in on the Dark Lord, now, so dangerously. Quickly, he waited for the right moment, and then out of the air he grabbed a blaster in his left hand. His aim was infinitely accurate, his shot deadly precise. There were no errors in his movement, even while still running, and batting away incoming object with the lightsaber, his shot was unwavering. A lone blaster bolt aimed directly for the heart of the Dark Lord. |

As the objects moved across the arena towards Cinaed, the Lord saw through the force how he unlocked his power and began moving through the items with agility and swiftness. The Lord allowed himself a smile before extending his right hand out. As the Echani moved closer, the Lord summoned the force around his hand and with the same technique used high above the skies of Nar Shaddaa, he manipulated it making it into tightly packed particles of the physical world. Within a second he was holding the seven foot long sword that had become his weapon of choosing for over a year. The Lord never took his eyes of the Echani and so it was no surprise when the shot came. The accuracy of the bolt was such that the Lord had no time to think, just act. As the bolt moved towards the hearth of the Lord, this one switched his weight to his right leg and slightly dropped to the right. The bolt whistled by as it hit the floor. Nevertheless that defense had given the Lord the chance for a counter. Since all of his weight was on that leg he moved his body forward, and using that same leg he launched forward with the aid of the flow of the force and bringing his seven foot long sword around he did a side slash that would severe Cinaed in two. The speed in which the Echani was moving forward, and the momentum given to the sword in the Lords hands, was enough to cut a wall in two. Meanwhile the Lord’s left hand came on the opposite direction of the blade above his other arm for the already formulated counter. |

Cinaed's Kontoueiseki watched the Dark Lord closely. Every muscle that tensed, every tendon that pulled, the very look in his eye, Cinaed saw. True, Valec's movement was not spectacular by the Echani's means, but the conviction behind them... stunning. So efficient, so fast. Truly, this could be the most powerful person Cinaed had ever fought, Vexas inclusive. Yet it was a different type of power than that of Vexas. Valec had stacked himself high, like a tall, proud tower of mysticism and sorcery. However, every building had a foundation. A shatterpoint could be found with careful inspection, and Cinaed had a pair of the best eyes to ever exist. Cinaed's right hand swung around his body, infront of him, moving in position on the other side of his left shoulder. The longsword met Cinaed's lightsaber, causing the light blue blade of light to cry in excitement. However Cinaed's left hand had yet to move, and with just a slight adjustment, he fired a blaster bolt at point blank range, right toward's the throat of the Dark Lord. Before he was even able to witness the fruition of his shot, his moment carried him away from the Dark Lord. Cinaed's jump carried him right past Valec. And the Echani made expert use of his Acrobatic ability. Like an artist, he painted himself through the air, deflecting remnants of the Dark God's initial attack. However, before he touched ground again, he fired another blast right to the shoulder of Valec. Hopefully, the first shot would distract him long enough for the second shot to meet it's target. If Valec reacted how Cinaed's calculated he would, then the second blast would put out his left arm for the rest of the battle. A slight movement backwards was all Cinaed needed, and it would be required for Valec to dodge the first shot. "I'll not be weaved into your trappings, my Lord, not that easily." He said confidently. Cinaed was determined to keep this battle going his way, falling into Valec's style would surely be his demise. |

The counter was swift and fast, never forgetting what Cinaed had at his advantage which was a long range weapon. As the two blades met, the Lord saw the movement of the Echani’s left hand and automatically his left hand that he had already in position summoned the force in the form of a shield which covered from his face, all the way down to his hip. The bolt decimated as it hit and that was the end of that attack. Or so the Lord thought at first. As the Echani moved above him and landed a few feet behind him, the Lord turned towards his right with the sword at a 180 degree angle, and by hearing the whisper of danger by the force he knew that another attack was still on process. As he turned he saw yet another blast coming his way, and by a small twist of his wrist he deflected the bolt back towards the gun, with such accuracy that it would enter the barrel just as it had come out. As he was finishing his spin to face Cinaed, he moved his left hand forward and pointed towards the ground beneath the Echani, and with one swift movement upwards the dust and rocks, and all materials around the Echani shot upwards as if rejected by the planet itself, and yet his attack was not yet over. Launching himself forward he let his voice be carried towards Cinaed as he swung his blade at a 45 degree angle from bottom left to upper right at a distance that not even the tip of the blade would touch the wall of items, nevertheless the force behind the attack would carry the cutting property as if the blade was within range. ”I do not expect that from you, but you definitely need to do better than a blaster…so uncivilized” |

Cinaed had been granted hardly enough time to forego the blaster, letting go of it and withdrawing his hand as the bolt entered back into the barrel. Wrapping the Force around the gun, the explosion had been contained, and Cinaed thrusted them back toward's Valec. It seemed that in his rush, though, he would miss, the ball of blaster bits flying right by Valec. Now he would wait. Cinaed knew that if it came down to ability to purely manipulate the force, he would lose, there was no question there. Especially since, it seemed, Valec had learned how to use the Dragon's Energy, Vexas' technique. So, it was needless to say that Cinaed welcomed his Dark Lord into close quarters combat, where he could minimize such focus that the man needed to conjure up the more dangerous of Ryouki Qi techniques. Cinaed knew what came next, and the electricity around his body began to spark more concentratedly around his right arm. The swiping of the sword was nothing short of what Cinaed expected it to be, powerful, swift. However, it was both a mundane attack and an opening technique. When Valec came close to Cinaed, the Echani warrior disignited his lightsaber and clipped it back at his belt. Leaning to his left, he would let the sword only come so close to his body, close enough to feel its power, and close enough to keep his balance. Then, the instant it cleared his body, he sprung, like a deadly viper. His Hauringu Kobura was powerful, a collection of the entirety of a mastered ability to use Force Lightning. Leaping upwards, Cinaed's right foot went to Valec's left hand, keeping the shield at bay just as his left hand grabbed Valec's right hand, as well keeping the sword at bay. And such happening in just an instant. And then, like another photo taken in this flash of time, Cinaed, all the electricity his body had mustered, focused on the pinnacle of his flattened right hand, reared back to strike. It seemed not electricity anymore, instead, a ball of white light, so small, well contained. The electricity was not given a centimeter to spark outwards; it had to remain perfect. And it raged within this containment, growing angryer and angryer, deadlier and deadlier. And then it flew forward, no time was allowed to even hear the hiss it made. The strike was so strongly set, yet at the same time so accurate, such was worthy of driving a battle cry from Cinaed's lungs. Positioned to land right inbetween Valec's eyes. The thrust itself was strong enough to put his hand through Valec's skull, in theory, but the explosion of electricity that thrusted away from Cinaed would only cause greater damage to the Dark Lord. Whether Cinaed would hit or miss, the explosion caused by his attack would engulf the two. He had overpowered it, he could feel. The explosion was not supposed to surround him, but he could already feel it's push. |
