Comments: THE MAIN PLOT

No one knows exactly how the universe began. It was first believed that a cosmic explosion sent the worlds spinning out into the great expanse of darkness. But no mere cosmic explosion could account for its wonders and intracacies, especially the existence of magic. It was undeniable that greater powers were at work and many have come to believe that the universe was forged by some divine force, an all-powerful entity known as the Goddess. She wove the Nether, an ethereal dimension of her great magic and began her exploration through the universe where she encountered a seemingly normal planet and began raising mighty mountains and dredging out vast seas and breathing the sky into being.

A rift in the Nether energies touched a seemingly normal continent known as Edean, where elves, dwarves, halflings and other fantastical creatures came to thrive shrouded by a veil of energy far from the eyes of outsiders. When the Goddess left the world, she imparted her power in a selection of worthy individuals who were to tend to her workings to ensure a safe future for the beings that would later come to birth. These gifted beings came to be known as the Blessed and were not feared by the human kings but became an integral part of society. Together, with their Untouched counterparts led by King Llane I, they forged great kingdoms throughout Edean.

The realms thrived until Llane's great grandson Eldwyn II ascended to the throne. Conspicuous consumption and carelessness at his court in Nuramir led to national debt which consequently resulted in widespread famine, malnutrition and high unemployment. The citizens of the realms were far from happy and so began a period of political and social upheaval, violent turmoil and vast bloodshed, a revolution. Edean was soon consumed with riots, chaos, and widespread looting under the lead of Eldwyn's own advisor, Archmage Tirling Emelan. Emelan led the people of Edean to battle within Nuramir, which ended in the eventual execution of the Eldwyn II.

While the king was dead, nothing could prevent the following unseemly turn of events. During the battle at Nuramir, the protective shroud around the realms was damaged, tearing and shredding it leaving nothing but dead magic and wild magical areas. Emelan and his fellow Blessed attempted to repair the rift but all attempts ended in failure. Emelan left Nuramir and the rift behind where the shroud would continue to degenerate for centuries.

Emelan made his way to Tirisaa where he established the Convocation of Tirisaa into which he was voted unanimously as Supreme Chancellor. Following the war, the realms became the Republic of Emelan, with Tirisaa being it's capital and so it remains today. The times are bright and the realms of the Greater Republic of Emelan rest peacefully. Tirisaa has developed into a city of immense wealth, wonder, military and economic power under the rule of the Convocation that promotes nationalism, citizenship and inalienable rights to ensure a secure future for its people.

But what of the outsiders? As the shroud around the realms continues to degenerate, their arrival becomes more imminent and ultimately inevitable. The current Supreme Chancellor, Archmage Aran Stormlight, has recently begun preparations for their arrival and his efforts have been met with mixed reactions. While many are prepared to welcome them with open arms and eager curiosity, others are skeptical and fearful. If a land can be torn to shreds by its own people, one can only imagine the power of outsiders.

And so begins our endless journey into the imagination. Join us on adventure into the Realms of Dawn where you can play Blessed or Untouched and fight for the future of your beloved realms.

Ok so you can pretty much play any fantasy race you want to, and it's just starting out so there are quite a few "canon" characters for the taking. I myself took on a Dwarf character named Magni Stonehelm.
