It is a bright and sunny day on Kurosaki Island, the vaguely mystical place off the coast of Tesseractiel, a harsh underexplored region allegedly hosting a lush valley of witches, like a more magic-flinging Avalon.

You have arrived to Tearth Igol Falcon's manor Higanbana, the family mansion of the Falcon family of magicians at the edge of charted lands-
wrong story, my apologies.

It is a cloudy yet tolerably-lit day on Kurosaki Island, a small but not overly so place somewhere in the Atlantic off the coast of the United States. You have arrived to Tsar Falcon's manor Higanbana, the family mansion of the Falcon family and largest settlement on the island, allegedly haunted like crazy. It is time for the annual family financial meeting, an event full of much discord that feels like rival mafias muscling in on each other's territory more often than not. This year the head Tsar plans to hand off his mansion, fortune, and headship of the family to somebody else, as he feels likely to die horribly soon and join his lover Ron Bloodsworth, who died recently, and his old friend Bluet Castiglioni, who died way earlier (apologies to the meme).

Accompanying you are the branch leaders of the Falcon family.

Red Falcon. The prodigal firstborn son. A rash and straightforward reddish man with red hair to match, who vacillates between shonen hero and irrational zen. He brought along his wife Amy Falcon, a fencing champion and artist from Japan with flowing straight black hair, piercing turquoise eyes, and a penchant for honor to match her husband's.

Blue Falcon, the second son. A fisherman who spends most of his time in Alaska. Brunet and blue-eyed, practically stereotypical naval expert. He brought along Kras and Tsunami, identical twin ginger sons, and Rosa, his wife who looks way too much like Olive Oyl.

Green Falcon, the thirdborn and daughter. She left behind the family as much as possible, showing up only at these meetings out of a sense of obligation to the past she fails to crush, despite all her desires. Grey-haired early, cold green eyes. Tends to dress darkly and uses a cellphone often, and always carries weapons and wears armor whenever possible, as she views these meetings likely to go bad any year now.

Georgi Falcon. The fourth born, third son. A family man with ichor-black hair, round glasses, brown eyes, and a penchant for dressing in business suits in disturbing shades of green, he brought along Charisk and Frisa, fraternal twins who still look hella similar as they are preteens, and his wife Anna Falcon.

Aria Falcon, the fifth child and second daughter. A girl who barely made it to adulthood due to intermittent long sicknesses, who reminds us all too much of Melissa Vanguard. She wears an iron crown for no particular reason. She brought along Iroh Falcon, her husband who is a similarly frail man, like Georgi but with browner hair and a habit of red and black casualwear.

Welcoming you to the island are the service staff...

Natasha Himorogi, an elderly Asian lady who keeps lying about her origins and changes what she says regularly along with telling people about how she lies, thus creating uncertain origins. She lets slip about managing a hidden manor on the other side of the island, but while she tries to brush it off as the groundskeeper's-and-guests' house, the other servants are aware she takes her amphibian vanboat to the other side of the island loaded with supplies every so often, passing the guesthouse.

Perry Militiaman, a standard butler who was hired ages ago and simply was kept on, but seems rather young. Suspiciously like Ronove.

Cherry Militiaman, a nine-year-old who claims to be an enchantress and summoner, adopted by Perry as an orphaned infant and cared for by him and Rita. She has orangey hair and sometimes dresses in some mutant fusion of overalls and a tutu that remains pragmatic, despite all logical odds. Usually she prefers a Maria-like outfit.

Rita Alderman, a more pragmatic and clearly English woman of an age where many assume Cherry is a late-born natural daughter of hers, who fits the profile of English maid very well. Hired a long time ago. Believes in magic quite a lot, assuming a witch haunts the island.

Mark Smith, a rather enigmatic but very generic servant, also hired a while back.

There are supposedly some legendary sorcerers and witches hiding on this island. Ron was supposedly one, as are Tsar and Bluet, but another one is some king of devils, Mike. It is just a myth....you are told by some. Others believe it's absolutely real.

A song is sung by the fisherman.

"Behold the sweetfish river running through my beloved hometown.
You who seek the Golden Land, follow its path downstream in search of the key

As you travel down it, you will see a village.
In that village, look for the shore the two will tell you of.
There sleeps the key to the Golden Land.

The one who obtains the key must then travel to the Golden Land in accordance with these rules
On the first twilight, offer the six chosen by the key as sacrifices.
On the second twilight, those who remain shall tear apart the two who are close.
On the third twilight, those who remain shall praise my noble name.
On the fourth twilight, gouge the head and kill.
On the fifth twilight, gouge the chest and kill.
On the sixth twilight, gouge the stomach and kill.
On the seventh twilight, gouge the knee and kill.
On the eighth twilight, gouge the leg and kill.
On the ninth twilight, the witch shall revive, and none shall be left alive.
On the tenth twilight, the journey shall end, and you shall reach the capital where the gold dwells

The witch will praise the wise, and should bestow four treasures.
One shall be, all the gold from the Golden Land.
One shall be, the resurrection of the souls of all the dead.
One shall be, even the resurrection of the lost love.
One shall be, to put the witch to sleep for all time.

Sleep peacefully, my most beloved witch, Beatrice."

You do not think this bodes well.

Who are you, again?
