The House Vinage Crest

I, Alexander Shadowlurker Vinage, announce Reaver as my second-born son and the 11th member of House Vinage. His name will now be Reaver Vinage, Second-Born Son of Alexander, Brother of Caligari Vinage, Nephew of Bayard, Acheron, Greyvendal and Drecq Vinage, Cousin of Ashton Vinage, and Grandson of Seven Deaths Vinage Grey-Anumia.

Congrats!

Well, Vinage is a small house and being socially conservative regarding adoptions won't help its size... I don't think there have been pointless adoptions at all, so I wouldn't object to them.

Thanks for the input. I see the point that the adoptions haven't been pointless, but respectfully disagree about a small house not being as good as a large house. We can have just the same quality house or just the same amount of influence or power without as many members. Though I'm not encouraging being socially conservative in adoptions. Just in how often we adopt. Or set a time those we adopt are sworn in per se. If ever car on the road is a Ferrari doesn't that take away the appeal of owning one?

Our house members are all respectable members of the NS community -being both likeable and productive- so every time one like those is adopted into the house, both our quantity and quality increase. As for how often, I don't think any of us has had an adoption-rage. In Alex's case, his adoption of Greyvendal (which I personally encouraged) was overridden by my adoption of Greyvendal as brother, thus putting the counter back and making the adoption of Reaver considered the second after the adoption of Caligari (big time gap). I would not dare challenge any member of the house for adopting someone I do not think is worthy of being adopted... if we were a patriarchy, all adoption would have to be reviewed by Vinage (and whoever else would be given authority over it, e.g. Seven Deaths). Putting adoption limits will just kill the line in the long term.

If you join us, I guarantee you drama, corruption, guns, and more!
(not being serious about adopting you again, the first No in the PM was the real deal)

Bayard left the house last night. I tried to stop him, but oh, well.

(you gotta see the family drama, it's enjoyable)
