Hello~
Recruiting: Editors (Cleaners/Typesetters)
If you are interested in applying for this position, please direct yourself to this post and follow the instructions typed there :)

What is a Cleaner?
A cleaner is someone who erases the original text in the manga scans, erasing the texts in bubbles, boxes, background, etc... They also remove possible dust particles, some SFX, and redraw parts of the manga that the said text, after being erased, may have covered up. This job requires Photoshop, GIMP, or any other similar photo editing program, and the use of many tools such as the paintbrush, crop tool, cloning tool, etc. Cleaners also may be required to rotate and straighten scans so they are leveled. There is much to cleaning that is not mentioned here but after reading this, you should get a gist of it. More information and standards are discussed in another section in the forum.
If you are new to cleaning, it is best to check out a few tutorials (such as some found in the tutorial section here) and practice on raw scans before apply for this position!

What is a Typesetter?
A typesetter is someone who take the cleaned scans and proofread scripts and places the texts onto the scans. This position requires editing programs such as Photoshop or GIMP, and also a bunch of fonts to use for both SFX and for bubbles, boxes, etc. (there will be a font pack available to download if your application accepted). But simply placing fonts is not the end of it; a proofreader must also place the texts in an aesthetically pleasing way, changing font size, rotating fonts, organizing the placed sentences...
If you are new to typesetting, there are many typesetting tutorials available online (some can be found in the tutorial section here), and many sites to download free fonts off, such as dafont.com!

What is an Editor?
An editor is a combination of both a cleaner and a typesetter, doing both jobs but only taking one position, so basically read the above two paragraphs and mash them together into one position, and there you'll have it: an editor :D
