After accidentally knocking her best friend off a roof, Alyce is haunted by guilt and delves into a brutal nightmare wonderland of sex, drugs and violence, her mind tearing itself apart along with anyone else who gets in her way.

Alyce Kills...oh my my my. This is a strong contender for being in my top three of 2013 (though I think it was filmed in 2011). It was like the writers put the best aspects of May, American Mary, and Requiem For A Dream into the perfect blender and made a wonderful concoction out of it. Very slow at times, but never unsatisfying or boring, and the third act totally blew me away because of just how DISGUSTING, intense, and gory it was. The score was pretty decent but not amazing, the characters and dialogue were the main attraction here, with some dialogue scenes lasting more than five minutes. Shots were often out of focus and dizzying. The cinematography and look of the film was beautiful. Lots of colorful scenes immediately followed by scenes drained of most of their lively color. Alyce herself was beautifully written and superbly acted. There were times where I forgot that I wasn't watching it alone, I was so into it and odd as this sounds, some scenes were borderline hypnotizing. Amazing film<3. 9/10

I loved this. Beautifully directed with an amazing lead. I saw this YEARS ago and I'm so glad it got picked up here.

The third act was also brilliant like you said John. Bloody as hell. I felt the need to take a shower afterwards.

I love how the two main actresses had such great chemistry together. Really felt like an actual friendship and so many of their lines in the first twenty minutes or so had Robby and I cracking up<3.

This was a good film, pretty well made with some good dialogue and effects, I'll give it that, but I just couldn't shake the fact that it resembled so many other films. Black Swan was another film previously unmentioned that it felt like every now and then. I might need to see it again since the first time around, I really didn't know what to expect.

I seriously need to pick this up. I absolutely loved every gory second of it and I can't wait to have it on my shelf.

Also, random but I wanna have a double feature of this film, May and Carrie. Odd. :P

i loved the two actresses chemistry as well. It really felt real. The third act was so intense. Ugh I hate Rene so much. I loved that drug dealer though. My favorite character in this film. Music score was decent and some shots were pretty good. But I mainly liked the story and the acting. It works well in a marathon of those movies you listed ESPECIALLY American Mary.

Sure it did resemble other films, but at least it didn't felt TOO similar like most stalker films.

I liked the beginning and the end a lot, but I wasn't entirely satisfied by this. The gore was great, and I liked how the film looked. The dialog, especially in the beginning of the film, was great. I think I just would have liked there to have been more character development.

I can see where you're coming from there. The lead and her friend were the only ones I really cared for after thinking about this for a while. Maybe that was the point? :/ I still love this movie though.

Even though I cared about Alyce, I didn't feel like I had any real idea of who she was. I think the viewer can probably reach some kind of conclusion through speculation, but I would have been a lot happier if there were a few more lines to make what motivates her clearer.

Hmm I'll see if there's any special features on the dvd. Maybe a commentary or something explains more.

I've been thinking that I should give this movie another chance, even though I didn't dislike it. I have been wanting to rewatch Black Swan after going on a hunt for gifs, so I might have to take the suggestion of having a little marathon.
