"An American journalist on assignment in the Australian outback encounters a man-eating crocodile." Normally, I wouldn't recommend a "creature-feature," but I really enjoyed rogue. The pacing is great, the acting is pretty good and when they show the crocodile it looks...great! I believe the budget was about $27 million. Well 80% of that must have went to animating the beast. I groaned as well when I heard "giant crocodile," but check it out. |

I have Rogue on dvd and watching it now on Chiller channel........one thing that bugs me......is when they are stranded on the lil island during the day you can see clearly behind them in a few shots it leads straight to land lol. It must've been a goof but still being that close to land they could've all taken chances and swamp less than 20 yds to get to land. I know I know it;s just a movie......but even when the 2 guys in the speed boat show up and get capsized was the perfect time for them all to swim to shore from the distraction cause the croc would have gone after the noise of the crash.
