Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

When the patriarch of the family passes away, the teenage children must take responsibility for the family chores: the preparation of the rituals, the hunting and putting the all-important meat on the table. These newfound responsibilities are even more daunting, however, when you live in the city and happen to be a family of cannibals.

I wonder how this compares to the remake.

It was brilliantly acted but I hated most of it. The remake was much better directing and film wise.

It is not bad, but I did not like it as much as the remake. The editing isn't very good. I had to watch it on my laptop, because some scenes were either too dark or too light to watch on my TV. The basic story is still a good one, but the original just had too much going on. Unlike the remake, the different themes complicated the story and competed for attention.

I really want to see this BEFORE I see the remake so I can compare them but going by what you all have said, the remake is better. I'm still more excited to see the remake but I feel its only 'right' that I at least give this one watch.

Yeah it's not really that good but it's worth one watch. I just didn't like it.
