Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I'll see it eventually. Shocked it's rated for "grisly images" because it sounds like the average supernatural movie.

I was surprised by how violent some parts were. I was expecting yet another bloodless, nonviolent paranormal bore, but nope. :P Like I said, tis nothing AWESOME but it has a few harsh moments and I really didn't dislike anything except for Ralph's wife and the last 20 minutes or so.

Yay, gore at least can make up for it. Or at least a small amount.

Its not a total gorefest, but compared to a lot of other paranormal films? Its pretty refreshing in the bloodshed aspect lol.

It's already gone here. I think there's one theater that still has one showing.

Glad you're seeing it Michele :D

My boyfriend didn't get the stuff with 'The Doors' but I did. Robby's mom had to explain it to him because he thought the stuff involving the songs was stupid. (cool)

THEY HAD MONKEYS! AND IT MADE ME WANNA GO TO THE BRONX ZOO!!!

Anyhoo, I really really enjoyed this film. People will prob kick my ass cuz I enjoyed it better than Purge Anarchy lol It was very well paced and likable characters. Although I didn't think that comedian cop was funny at all <_< But yeah I loved the priest and the main dude. I didn't mind the ending at all or the third act. Lol the jumpscares got my sister everytime but only got me once. I really liked the atmosphere though and it was bloodier then I thought it would be.
My sister enjoyed this movie as well. I'm glad I saw it before they took it out of theaters.

Yeah the random comic relief was pretty unnecessary. I just didn't care for the third act much because they went so over-the-top with it that it lost all sense of realism.

And I bet you just prefer it to Purge: Anarchy because it takes place in your area. (troll)

No. And to be more specific, I don't live in the bronx and barely go there so it doesn't necessarily take place in my area. lol

Yeah but there are plenty of movies based on nyc and they aren't my favorites. So that isn't why I liked it.

LolGood (d) I really liked this too (best paranormal of the year so far imo, but I still prefer several other Horror movies we've gotten) and I wasn't being serious anyway.

Deliver Us From Evil > Oculus > Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones/Devil's Due > The Quiet Ones, probably. :P If we get more paranormal films like this and Oculus, I won't mind. But if we get more and more toned down, lame, tame 4-year-old-friendly flicks, then...no lol.
