Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

“FF3D tells the story of a film crew who travel to a remote cabin in the woods to shoot a 3D found footage horror film, but get more than they bargained for when the evil entity they created for their film starts showing up in their behind-the-scenes footage.”

Directed by Steven DeGennaro, the meta-horror begins shooting in Gonzales, TX, in late May.

I'm trying to be excited about this, but I keep getting stuck wondering if this is actually going to be a 3D found footage film. There's no way I am going to see that, because I will probably never be able to see again.

Even people with normal brains would probably be seriously hurting after watching something like that.

I found this on their website. (un)

“The time is ripe for this film,” says writer/director Steven DeGennaro. “The 3D aspect isn’t just a marketing ploy—it’s integrated into the story in a very Scream-esque sort of way. There are things that we can do, as a found footage movie shot in 3D, that no found footage movie or 3D movie has ever been able to do before.” He stresses that while the script has a lot of laughs, the film will be “truly terrifying.”

I probably won't be able to see this.

I've been liking this on Facebook for a while and I thought it sounded interesting...until the title is a reality.

Great, now we have to see the footage of a camera wobbling around right in our faces. *waits for 2D*

Yeah when it comes to found footage, I don't think i'll be able to stand watching it in 3D, even though the concept IS somewhat interesting. I was just hoping this was going to be a 3D slasher flick about a crew making a found footage movie. Like others have said, it'd be better if that were the case instead of...the found footage itself being in 3D, ew.

I can't even envision a 3D found footage movie period in my mind's eye.

Not exactly sure how a 3D FF movie would work, but okay.

Can't you see it? The effects of cinema violence on society?

It's different, I'll give them that. But I don't know how they plan on making that happen.

Chances are I'll see it JUST to see how they manage to pull it off. I can't say I'm too excited for it though. I'm just...sick of 3D in general, thank God its on its way out of the Horror genre for the time being (though it'll never leave Action/Superhero films).

It does sound interesting, and I think I would have planned to see this one if I thought I could watch it.
