Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Obviously 4. It's tied with Scream 1 but it was just way more gruesome and brutal. Jenny's back being crushed, the crime scene (deleted but whatevs), Olivia's hand stabbing and gutting, Robbie's stab in the chest and everything else was just a bloodbath. 1 and 4 satisfy the gorehound in me.

2 is bloody as well but not super gory. 3 is just tame.

The back crushing was SO not as harsh as it really should've been. Even with the garage door slam, Jenny's alternate death on the couch was much more brutal and disturbing.

Easy vote.

1 (bloodiest) > 4 >>> 2 >> 3 (most bloodless)

Cotton's stabbing in Scream 3 had a ridiculous amount of blood though, shame that the other kills were tame in comparison.

Cotton's death was realistic John. My mom is a nurse and blood can easily have that amount with one stab in the gut. However it couldn't flow out of his gut and then randomly on his shirt in the next shot.

And yeah, Jenny's couch death was more brutal. I honestly thought the garage crush was horrifying though. Some salt in the wound for Jenn's back.

Oh, Derek, I wasn't meaning 'ridiculous' as in...unrealistic or something. I was meaning that there was ALOT of blood lol. It was pretty surprising when I first saw it, especially since Christine's back-stab was bloodless.

Christine's death had a tiny bit of blood on the blade I believe but that death was just ugh.

LOL@her dying instantly from a stab in the back. She was dead before she hit the floor, SO unrealistic.

I went with the first one.

I wanted to go with 3 just to make people laugh. That film is a PG-13 by today's standards. ParaNorman has more gore.

That's what happens when you stab someone in the base of the brain. They're dead so fast that they don't even feel it.

It was close between the first and fourth films, but Olivia's death in the fourth pushed it over the top for me.
