THIS is the weirdest sequel announcement this year. Did anyone actually want this?

Not that I know of. I still haven't bothered with the first one. I like the whole 'butchered friends at a party' thing but...everything else just seems so tired and done-before.

I thought the rating was the worst part of the original so with this one tending toward a slightly different mindset I'll definitely give it a shot.
Do illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

When I first heard about this, I thought "huh, maybe they'll actually follow through on the original's ending and make the movie that the otherwise godawful first film should've been." Then I learned that it pretty much has nothing to do with the original beyond the names. Then I saw the trailer, which looks like every other cheapjack supernatural/religious horror film I've ever seen. Pass.

If you're simply attaching your film to another one for brand recognition, at least pick a better movie to shamelessly cash in on.

I'm one of maybe four people who actually liked the first one, not gonna lie...

And this is a stupid idea. If you want to make an exorcism horror film, fine. That plot and movie poster will work for virtually any possession story.

Molly Hartley, as lame of a movie as it was, does not need a sequel. The ending wrapped everything up with a neat little Satanic bow. No need for a sequel... Especially for a movie that was forgotten by 2009.

I haven't seen it or really thought about it much since it was in theaters, but I remember thinking the ending was one of the better parts of it.

The ending doesn't need a sequel, that's for sure.

Lol, I totally forgot about this. I can't even remember if I've seen the first. I doubt I have. I'm not in a hurry to see either.

I still don't get why they're making this. :( The first one was fine by itself. It had a conclusive ending.

Plus, the critics and audiences alike all HATED it.
