In the 13th century there existed a legion of evil knights known as the Templars, who quested for eternal life by drinking human blood and committing sacrifices. Executed for their unholy deeds, the Templars bodies were left out for the crows to peck out their eyes. Now, in modern day Portugal, a group of people stumble on the Templars abandoned monastery, reviving their rotting corpses to terrorize the land.

This is the only one of the Blind Dead films that I've seen, and since it's been so long, I don't remember much. Maybe I'll be able to get my hands on that out-of-print boxed set of the series and watch them all back to back.

I would like to point out Wiki says 1971, IMDB says 1972. I dunno. It's from the early 70s.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Kind of ironic that my first topic is a zombie movie and I hate zombies. Honestly? I don't really even think this one is very good is just holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Back when I was in high school we had an open campus, the first one anyway, and I typically ate lunch with some friends at the movie rental joint across the street. Odd place to eat lunch, but we would get food elsewhere and go eat in a movie rental store and they let us, lol. They sold drinks there and we got to know all the staff anyway so we were pretty welcome and it was actually a nice, quiet place to eat. More excitement in the parking lots and sidewalks, but you know...

Anyway, they had a 5 movies, 5 days for $5 thing for everything that wasn't a new release so that's when I really started watching horror stuff. My parents censored what I watched pretty well when I was a kid so I hadn't seen any of this stuff, one of my best friends who I ate lunch with was a big horror fan so we started doing this all the time. We were at lunch one day and I asked one of the employees what the worst horror movie they had was and this is what I got. I've seen worse and well, I hate zombies. I was just curious if anybody had seen this before and if they liked or disliked it.

This is not one I'm familiar with, so I'll have to research it. It looks interesting, and I like the different posters.

I made a topic about this when I was pretty new here and but in Modern Horror > 70s. Perhaps somebody will want to merge them.

I would if I liked zombies.
I spoiler tagged your posters because they were huge and stretched out this thread.

Makes sense. About both parts. You should watch it anyway. One of the characters has a really nice ass! That's my selling point.

Har har, Michele.

I've found several so far on YouTube but none in English or with damned subtitles.

I can't even find one with those. Not that there is tons of engaging dialogue in the film, but I figured you'd like to understand it.

Not understanding anything while watching a movie will frustrate me.

Shit. I'm pretty sure there isn't a version on YouTube with subtitles. Son of a bitch.
