We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I don't think the audio clips are up anymore, but Cracked did an article on movies that were accomplished in dark ways; and it mentioned the hell that the cast and crew went through (as far as the first goes).

* They filmed in the dining room for over 27 hours where the temperature got to well over 110 degrees.
-there were also piles of festering head cheese on the dining room table that were originally just props, but pretty quickly made the rooms smell like a rotting carcass.

* Supposedly, due to the heat and being in his own little world of filming hell, Gunner Hansen thought he was supposed to kill Marilyn.

* Marilyn Burns' finger was actually cut in a certain sequence.
-In the scene where Leatherface cuts Burns' finger so that the old man can suck her blood, the device that was supposed to release the fake blood clogged for several takes in a row. Hansen, whose mind was already broken and who was willing to do anything to get out of that room, turned away from everyone, removed the safety tape from the knife and then just cut open Marilyn's finger for real.

Yep. Cracked has an article on it and I think Gunner himself discussed it in a Youtube video, about the heat and how everyone just went crazy. I forgot if it was him or someone else, but I think someone said the experience was worse than their time in Vietnam.

^ They spend ALOT of time talking about that in commentaries and documentaries too.

This is an easy one but;

Over half of the deaths in TCM2 were completely deleted.

Caroline Williams' character Stretch was supposed to have a bigger part in the series but it ended up going in a different direction, which is why she has that random cameo in 3.

Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger both tried to have The Next Generation shelved.
