Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Yoga Hosers, written by Kevin Smith, “centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Depp) to fight for their lives with all seven Charkas, one Warrior Pose at a time.“

I was ready to just write it off as shit, but the rest of the cast does have me really interested, actually.

It was bad enough when he put his wife in his movies.

^ Eh, that's not always a bad thing. Some directors have preeeetty talented wives who fit roles well. (wary)

Still.
This doesn't sound good. At all. I'll stick with Tusk (mildly excited, odd as that movie sounds) and Red State (AMAZING film), methinks. Chances are I'll cave and end up watching this though.

The rest of the cast that has me interested is Tony Hale and Natasha Lyonne, since I didn't bother to mention that.

^It's a mild insult in Canada.

I think this is an unpopular opinion, but I liked the Guy Lapointe character, so I'm slightly more interested in seeing this than I was before I saw Tusk.

Michael Parks was unable to film his scenes because of an illness. I always want to see more of Michael Parks, but I'm relieved that it doesn't seem like he was seriously ill. I think it was more of an availability issue. Ralph Garman is going to be in those scenes instead.

Really really really not sure about this. It should be light and fluffy based on the poster.

Something tells me that's what he's going for. The plot description sounds like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer IN CANADA!", which I'm down for.

I wouldn't mind if it was light and fluffy. I've been interested in this for months since I read about it online like last year.

This will probably have a similar tone to like the first season of Buffy. Just a lot more colorful.

The trailer reminded me of a slightly dumber version of Josie and the Pussycats. I'm not the target audience for this (teen girls) so I'll pass.

The Josie and the Pussycats movie was a lot more clever with the things it tried to do than people give it credit for, even fifteen years later. :P

And I don't mind teen movies. I'll watch it. I've heard very mixed things, but I wouldn't refuse outright to watch it.

As stupid as this looks, I think this will not only be funny but it will also have a lot of heart in it, because of Kevin Smith's daughter being one of the Colleens. He is genuinely happy about having made this movie with her, which makes me happy for him. If I had the money I would see him live as he presents this movie and follows it with a Q&A afterwards. 40 dollars isn't much, I know, but it is when you can't replenish it as quickly as you spend it.

**Teen movies are my favorite kind of movie.

Fixed it. ;)

I have no interest whatsoever but I'll probably watch it eventually.
