Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Who are some underused characters who really should've gotten more screentime because they were either interesting, served the plot in some way, or you just wanted more of them?

I would have liked to see a bit more of Mickey before the reveal in 2. I always felt like he was missing something that kept him from being really interesting.

I agree.

This is kind of a weird answer, but Gale and Dewey in part 4. Their strength has always been in their scenes together and them working together, that was really lacking. It felt like they were written in because they had to but didn't really know what to do with them.

I agree about Gale and Dewey. It would have been nice for them to have more scenes together.

It would be nice to know more about Maureen, since she's so central to the story. Most of what we know about her comes from people that want to make her look bad.

Kincaid's partner from 3. He had some of the best lines in the film, so I would have liked to have seen him involved in the finale somehow.

^ Same. I didn't care for him but I don't like that he randomly vanished just like Gus, Lois, and Murphy did. Plus, Scream 3 needed one or two more kills.

Anyone else think that CiCi in the second film shouldn't have gone down as easily as she did, what with her being played by Buffy and all?

Lois and Murphy also could've used a bit more screen time, preferably with one of them getting killed brutally. Maybe during the scene where Sidney and Derek are in the house; after Ghostface slashes Derek and flees the scene, he runs into one of them and kills her on the spot?

^ And the other could've found the body. The cops would've busted in and seen Lois (or Murphy) with blood on her hands next to the other's dead body and that would've made her a big suspect and opened up a whole new can of worms without Overcomplicating things. To be honest, that would've just taken up an extra five minutes of screentime and since Scream 2 was already 2 hours, an extra five minutes really wouldn't have harmed it.

Kill = 30 seconds
Discovery of girl with body = 40 seconds
Questioning = 2 minutes (tops)
One last scene with still-living-girl = 1-2 minutes (tops)

:P
