Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A forest fire and rockslide leave five bickering college friends trapped in a small Alaskan ghost-town with a horrifying history. When they seek refuge inside an abandoned mine they must band together to survive as the angry inhabitants slaughter the friends one-by-one.

Oh goddamnit I was hoping this would be a film adaptation of one of my favorite novels! (un)

Oh well; this sounds like it could be okay but...only five victims? *Yawn*

Six is good but seven is better.

And twenty one (and over) is best (like the novel that I thought this was based on) (d)

Trailer was released and it looks very Wrong Turnish. There must be an audience for this.

This is entertaining enough, if you ignore the fact that the director apparently doesn't understand anything about human behavior (wary)
Sorry, but you've come across TWO dead bodies, the second body makes it clear you are obviously in danger..... and you still have time to sweep that aside and hang around and talk about your feelings towards a cheating spouse? Um. No. That's clearly not what anyone would do. Obviously I don't expect everything to be super realistic (it's a slasher, come on), but that's ridiculous.

The characters are all meh, but I wasn't expecting anyone really well developed in something like this, so it's whatever. The bitchy chick was the only mildly entertaining one though in the group though. I did like the two elderly twin sisters at the gas station (lol)

I also find it odd that Lochlyn Munroe signed onto this just to be in it for one minute total. Is he hurting for money? (wary) And why were the Soska Twins in this randomly? lol.

The gore is alright, if you ignore the spots of bad CGI (un)

Anyway, I didn't hate it, can't say I really liked it either though. It's just kind of.....there. *shrug*
