Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

All of them except for the fourth though I *sort of* have that thanks to the bonus disc that came with my boxed set.

I have the survival kit (the Red Cross edition), which includes the first three and the Survivor bonus disk.

I don't have the "finished" product of Survivor or Return, and I honestly don't plan on getting them.

This is random and trivial, but which version of the box set do you have?

1 on Anchor Bay VHS

Got first three on Legacy Entertainment DVDs. Poor picture quality, but 1 is uncut.

Got RETURN on DVD.

I'm not too familiar with the DVDs and who distributed them; but are certain things changed, altered or added depending on who you got them from? I think the Survivor set is from Anchor Bay, but I don't know if they're entirely different from other releases or not.

All of them, and the Legacy version of the first

I want to get the new release of the first film eventually, too.

Nothing. It's a poor VHS transfer of the Video Treasures VHS. The only worthwhile thing about it is it's the uncut version.

I got the first three cheap at wal-mart some years back. I suspect 2 was poorly edited.

I think the Anchor Bay set is uncut as well, but it's been years since I've watched it so I don't remember if all the nitty gritty I heard of is completely there.

Okay, if anyone has extensive knowledge of the releases; can someone fill me in if the Anchor Bay release is in fact uncut?

My Scream Factory DVD/BluRay is like 30 seconds longer than the Anchor Bay DVD that came in the Survival Kit boxed set. I haven't watched the SF release yet (shameful, I know) but I'll let you know if I spot any differences when I do. :)

Anchor Bay is not uncut. About 23 seconds are missing. The Scream Factory release uses the original camera negative. Everything that I've seen listed as missing from the Anchor Bay release appears to be there.

(goo) ! Good! Electrocution Lessons pointed it out before but I wasn't sure if it was a case of missing footage or just a case of a sped up/slowed down frame rate or something.

Most of the 23 seconds is random stuff, so it isn't one that I'd be all that bothered by only seeing the cut version. It's definitely worth buying it for the special features, but most of the cuts are bits of dialogue.

I got Return over the holidays, so the only one that I'm "missing" is The Survivor.
