A white gorilla is snubbed by black gorillas because he is the wrong color. Cut off from his tribe he becomes lonely and angry. After troubling hunters and natives, the white gorilla fights the king of the black gorillas while we are told by a narrator that the fate of Africa hangs in the balance. The movie was made by editing some 1947 acting into footage from a 1927 silent serial, Perils of the Jungle, starring Frank Merrill the fifth screen Tarzan.

WHAT WAS THIS BOOTY MESS AND WHY WAS IT IN MY HORROR BOXED SET?!

Like many older films, it opened with a monologue. The whole 'white gorilla vs black gorilla' thing feels like an awkward racial commentary. It was stock footage of animals spliced with 'new' footage of actors running arund, playing on rafts, swimming, running, acting scared, swinging on vines, and fucking around with bored looking lions, spliced with even newer footage of a narrator and footage to make a storyline out of the footage. WHAT?!

That said, I didn't hate it and the 62 minutes went by rather quickly. Bradford was hot. The gorilla looked pretty cool at times and shitty other times. "The excitement was too much for the old man...so he died..." HUH?!

This was soo poorly made with its sped up footage, awkward narration instead of sound a lot of the time, a couple subplots that made no sense and went nowhere. Some things like the Cyclops cave (I don't recall ever seeing the Cyclops though), 'crazy' woman, jungle kid, etc were mildly interesting but the whole thing was too sloppy to really be likeable. "Do you understand?" " Oh yesss, me understand ^_^ " Oh Christ, more stereotypical foreign characters!

This was terrible lol.

2/10 quality. 5/10 entertainment.
